Rating: Summary: Number One Fan from Ann Arbor, Michigan 10-31-97 Review: Every book that Mrs. Jenkins has written has been fantastic. Night Song is just one that has captured my heart. The characters in this book bring you in to there scenrio. It feels as if your right there with them. The way Chase felt about his wife was unlike any other. The respect that he gave Cara was unconditional. The patients that he had in taking her womanhood, was comendable. This book was meant to enlighten your world. The educational background was phenominal. I learned a great deal from this one book, then I have in school. Beverly Jenkins has paved the way for black women to learn about our black men, and the way they treated there ladies. This book gives black women the power we need to overcome any undeserved antiqes from our black men. Keep it real sista! Thank You, Mrs. Jenkins for uplifting my spirits....
Rating: Summary: Night Song Review: From the beginning to the end this book kept me turning the pages. I enjoyed the love story that developed between Chase and Cara Lee. I throughly enjoyed the all of the history;especially the history on the Buffalo Soliders. I purchased this book several years ago and I still pick it up and read the story with the same enthusiam as if reading it for the first time. Wonderful, entertaining and well written. Thanks for a great story!
Rating: Summary: Beverly Jenkins -- my favorite romance writer Review: I have read Beverly Jenkins first 3 books (Night Song, Vivid and Indigo). Each book is a great read...I can't decide which is my favorite. I have her fourth book but haven't read it yet because I am saving it for a very special time when I won't be interrupted or distracted. Whenever I begin reading Ms. Jenkins' books I can't put the book down. F. Adamson
Rating: Summary: Night Song Review: I just finished reading "Night Song" again. I've read this book many times. The story of Chase Jefferson and Cara Lee Henson is one that you never tire of reading. Ms Jenkins transports you in time and puts you right there with the characters in all of her stories and this is no exception. You can feel Chase's anger and remorse when he finds out about the baby. His love for Cara shines through and you can feel all of the emotions the two of them share from the harmless flirtation to their full blown passion. A MUST READ!

Rating: Summary: It's perfect. I would give it 20 stars if I could. Review: I love this book. In fact I have read all of her novels and I love each and everyone of them. I love the way she uses a character to connect each of her books to each other in some way. Her use of strong independent women is wonderful. The fact that the men are not looking to control the spirit of their women, but are instead drawn to it, is incredible. The best part is the fact that the stories take place in moment in time when blacks, especially balck women, were looked upon as being lower than a dog. As a black woman, I was honored to read a book that made me look upon those times and see more that just slavery and the aftermath of it. It allowed me to see the strength, passion, honor, intelligence, and sometimes wealth, that was held by the men and women of those times. Beverly Jenkins has a fan for life in me. I can't wait for her next novel.
Rating: Summary: DELICIOUS Review: I loved reading this book, Chase was my kind of hero. When Chase carried a sick Cara to the hotel, married her, and nursed her back to health, it was so exciting. Chase went against everything he believed in and made an honest married woman of Cara, even after she lost their baby. I don't wont to give away all the story, but this book was good, it is my first full length by Ms. Jenkins. I plan to read more of her books, when i get a chance i already own , Through The Storm, and Always and Forever.
Rating: Summary: The history, the romance, it's all good! Review: I read this book about five times. The history is a story not many of us know about. The characters were so well developed I could see them in my mind's eye. I told a brother friend of mine who is into Buffalo soldiers that he had to read this book. He loved it. I also told me he could take a few notes from Chase.
Rating: Summary: "I fell in LOVE!" Review: I simply fell in love with all Miss Jenkins books. Everytime I visit a bookstore I check to see if she has anything new. I have evenreread her books over and over. I feel as if I am the character; shegives me hope of having love.
