Summary: Tired and worn out
Review: I wasn't sure if I was reading a new novel, or just re-reading one of several of the last Catherine Coulter novels I've waded through. I think that I am truly sick of the big, strong man caring for sick, injured woman bit. The story was dumb; there was no real mystery. I love the "Song" series and most of the Sherbrooke Brides series. This was plain disappointing.

Summary: If you love to read, do yourself a favor--SKIP THIS ONE!
Review: How Does Catherine Coulter continue to get these awful books published? Does ANYONE read this stuff before it goes into print? I've been reading historical romances for 20 years, and this is, without a doubt, the worst reading experience I've ever had! The flat characters and convoluted story line were bad enough, but the ridiculous, dithering, twit headed dialogue that has become Ms. Coulter's hallmark of late, aggravated me so much that I read not even half of this book before I threw it across the room in disgust! Mad Jack is much worse (if you can believe it) than Coulter's recycled regencies that she keeps revisiting on the world, and quite frankly, I feel that this book is not worth the paper it's printed on!

Summary: Great book
Review: Since discovering coulter recently, i have liked all her books. this was no exception. it is very humourous and jack reminds me off sinjun as well as their first sexual encounter. i love the sherbrookes and they should be in many many more books.

Summary: What is everyone complaining about????
Review: This was my third Catherine Coulter book, and it got my interest enough to go searching all over town for the rest of them. I now own 12 of her books and have read them all. I don't understand what everyone is grumbling about. I found it very well worth the read, and I loved meeting all the friends from other books. Now I get to read all their stories too. I think the friends make the story far more interesting and more believable. I enjoyed this book very much.

Summary: Boring
Review: Is is my imagination or has Catherine Coulter started using the same hero and heroine in, oh say, the last 5 or 6 books? This was the most boring by far. I have other Catherine Coulter books that I love and re-read over and over. This is not one of them. Ever since The Wyndham Legacy (which is one of my favorites) the characters have begun to seem like they are all the same person. Even the minor characters. They are no longer entertaining and humerous. Now they are stilted and repetitious. Of course, the last couple of her novels that I've purchased were re-written older novels that were good the first time around. Maybe she should start off with a fresh book and see what comes of it.

Summary: One of my favorites...
Review: I don't know why others complained about Mad Jack. I finished it and found that it was a good read. Especially if you have already been a big fan of Catherine Coulter, don't seriously take into account many negative feedbacks this title receives. Just read it and you also will not understand why others complained about it. Ms Coulter is always Ms Coulter. She never loses quality in writing romantic seences and adding sense of humor into her books.

Summary: Leave the Sherbrookes alone already!
Review: If you were to read this without having read The Sherbrooke Bride, you would think Alex Sherbrooke is one of the stupidest, obnoxious women around, and she isn't!

Jack and Gray aren't anything special, and the plot itself never grabbed me. The worst part was that I was looking forward to reading about the Sherbrookes, and it seems they've been losing their IQ steadily since I last met them.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An enjoyable read
Review: I am a huge Catherine Coulter fan! This book was not the best one she has written, but It was still a great book. Jack and Gray were happy with each other from the beginning making it a true love story. I also love the Sherbrookes and was happy to see them again.

Summary: Book Bashing should stop!
Review: While I admit that some of Coulters novels are better than this it was still a thoroughly enjoyable read. I especially appreciate the continuation and revisiting of characters in all her novels.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Give her a break!
Review: I know this wasn't CC's best novel, but recently she has been bashed severely. I hope she doesn't read these reviews. It would make me never want to pick up a pen and write again. I enjoyed the continuation of characters and the fact that there were no rape scenes. I believe that if there were more time given to this novel it could have come together much better. I think it's the editors that need to take more time reviewing the manuscript before they publish the book. Catherine! read some of your earlier works and maybe you'll see what you are missing. I'd say borrow but don't buy this one. Here's hoping for a 5-star next time.
