Rating: Summary: A Great Steamy Story Review: Lori Foster has done it again. Her characters are always endearing and this story is no different. Del is an author of mystery and suspense novels that really like to research her books from a hands on approch and Mick is an undercover Vice cop and when their two worlds collide watch out. If you are a fan of this talented author you will not be let down by this story. Fast moving, and plenty of romance that Ms. Foster is famous for. With plenty of fun secondary characters this was a page turner. A great way to spend a weekend.

Rating: Summary: CAUGHT IN THE READ Review: Lori Foster's exceptional Harlequin is a joyous celebration of love, warmth and fraternity as her undercover cop character Mick Dawson finds a serendipitious romance with bestselling mystery-writer Del Piper as his protective instincts summons him to dodge a bullet in a robbery gone awry. Yet it seems that while love is blossoming between the love-struck couple, shadows of paranoia begins to surface. Was Del involved in the execution of the robbery as one of the robbers Glasgow accused? If not how did Glasgow know intimate details of Del and Mick? The intrigue and mystery serves as a sideline to the sexy romance yet it comes none as fascinating to the reunion of characters from her past novels. Alec and Celia, Dane and Angel with Mick's staunch buddies Josh and Zane play cupid to the golden couple who are thrust into a web of mistrust and lies. It is lightweight romance with a tortured hero and a feisty, risk-daring heroine but also a sheer explosion of bliss with these quirky fun characters - so get caught in the read.
Rating: Summary: Caught In The Act: Take it into protective custody! Review: Lori Foster's latest book, CAUGHT IN THE ACT has readers buzzing. The much anticipated story of a character first introduced in a Special Release she shares with Jayne Ann Krentz, has readers hungry to get their hands on Mick Dawson's story. The fact that this is a longer novel (at nearly 300 pages), had this reader anxious to sit back and enjoy a little more time spent with these characters. We were first introduced to Mick in Beguiled as the heroine's landlord's son; then a gangly, reserved teen. A young man dealing with adult issues in a turbulent household. He helped the heroine, Angel, until her hero, Dane came along, but Ms. Foster knew that readers would want a success story for a young man mature beyond his years. Now Mick's all grown up. He's still reserved, and reluctant to trust others, but being a cop has much to do with his continued hesitance. That all changes the moment he spots Delilah Piper ambling past him on the street one afternoon. Mick is fascinated by her. He watches her. Even traces the route she jogs each day, which happens to be right past a restaurant that he and his two friends frequent. He sees her enter a jewelry store across the street from the eatery one rainy day, and decides it's his chance to make her acquaintance. Little did he know that he'd be caught in the middle of an armed robbery moments after entering the establishment! Mick becomes her hero, but his police instincts are on full alert when things don't add up, and it seems the object of his desire may have been targeted for murder. Could she be involved in some way? He wonders this even as he step in the line of fire and takes a bullet on her behalf. The attraction is mutual and intense for both "Del" and Mick. He knows he needs to protect her, since the assailants are still at large, but his personal feelings play a huge part in his decision to stay at her house while he recuperates from his injury. Her profession as a mystery novelist, and her unorthodox ways of writing her crime scenes give him pause; both for how she makes them realistic, but also for her safety while doing it, and the people she associates with while researching her books. Can Mick put his growing passion for this woman aside and do his duty as a cop if he finds she is involved with the jewelry store robbery? Or will his feelings take over his common sense, and ignore clues that will help him solve the crime? Ms. Foster has scored once again with her sexy characters and staunch loyalty of friends and family. Readers asked for more, and she answered the call with Caught In The Act. Mick's emotional scars will tug at your heartstrings, and the obvious single status of his friends, Zack and Josh, will have you clamoring for them to find a love for each, their own. A wonderful story of inner conflict and strength; this is a journey of a man who begins with a heart locked away because of his hurtful past, but opens it for a future with a woman who, with her love, has the power to heal it. Congratulations to Ms. Foster! A powerful in depth tale of love, heartache, trust, and truth. Caught In The Act has it all!

Rating: Summary: Caught in the Act By Lori Foster is a Real Pager Turner! Review: My wife, Ellen, & I loved this story. Is is a tale of jealously and betrayal. A real suspenseful pager turner.
Rating: Summary: GOOD PLOT, BUT. . . Review: This is my first Lori Foster book so I don't know if this is her usual formula, but I thought Del and Mick were a little too quick off the mark with their sexual overtures. Overtures?! Good grief! That said, a good plot and an interesting story that moved along quickly make this book worth reading. Maybe I just like a little more seduction and a slightly slower pace as far as the romance is concerned. In fact, I guess that's the problem. I wouldn't call what happened between them a romance. More like over active hormones. Still, the story was original. For a REALLY great book which I rated a five (but should be a ten), check out LAUREN BACH's "LONE RIDER". WOW!! CHERRY ADAIR's new book "HIDE AND SEEK" is worth your time, too.
Rating: Summary: Romance & Suspense ~ My Favorite In The Series Review: This is the first book in Lori Foster's series re: three friends: Mick-the police detective; Zack-the EMT; and Josh-the fireman. Oddly enough, I read this series backwards starting with Josh's story. So, I really didn't get a clear picture of the relationship between the three friends until I read this book - CAUGHT IN THE ACT. While other readers seem to prefer the first two books, I really liked this one the best.In the story, Mick Dawson is wildly attracted to a woman that he has only seen in the neighborhood. There is just something about her that captivates him, and he is determined to meet her. That meeting takes place during a jewelry store robbery as Mick arrives in time to save her life. In the process, Mick is shot with the bullet that was deliberately meant for her. Del, the woman in question, is confused and very grateful. She's determined to thank Mick for saving her life, so she follows him to the hospital and waits while he undergoes surgery for the bullet wound. The only way that the doctors will allow Mick to leave the hospital is if someone can be there to take care of him. To the surprise of everyone, Del, who by now is also dazzled by Mick, offers to take him home with her. Mick (no fool he) immediately agrees. The story progresses from there with Mick and Del falling deeply in love, while Mick pursues the criminal(s) who wanted to kill Del that day at the jewelry store. Without going into all the details of how the mystery is solved, I will say that there is plenty of suspense to keep you interested - apart from the sizzling scenes between Del and Mick! I really grew to like these two quirky characters, and actually re-read the other two books to see if I could find more information about them. I guess I enjoyed the book so much that I just didn't want the story to end! Highly recommended!
