Rating: Summary: Standing ovation to Ms.Schone!! Review: Ms.Schone takes sexual tension and stretches it to the max. She writes of women who know how to change the things in their lives that they feel they can not live with. And men who encourage a woman to be everything that she wants to be, with no judgement. Every woman should have a "bastard sheik" in their lives. Bravo Ms. Schone for writing about a woman who is not in the bloom of her youth but about a woman who is in the full blossom of her womanhood. Not to mention the fact that Ms.Schone understands that the written and spoken word can do as much if not more to touch a woman, than a physical touch can. If you want a mushy love story look someplace else you won't find it here. But if you want a story that will touch you deeply, then get out your card and order this book. It's a keeper I promise.
Rating: Summary: A Five Star Read!!!!!!! Review: Once again Robin Schone has gone "Where angels fear to tread" with "The Lady's Tutor". Her incredible brand of erotic romance is a breath of fresh air to the genre. "The Lady's Tutor" is an exquisitely beautiful story of sexual awakening and the blending of two souls. This story will touch your soul too. The characters are extremely well developed - including the secondary characters (especially the Countess!) and there is mystery and intrigue. You will not only read this book, you will feel it as well. When I closed the book on the last page, I reopened to the first and began again. That's a first for me. If you haven't yet read her work, do yourself a favor, get to know Robin Schone!!!
Rating: Summary: This IS what ROMANCE is about!!! Review: This was my first read of Ms. Schone's & let me tell you it WILL NOT be the last!!! I'm only sorry that she is a new author & doesn't have dozens of books on her backlist for me to read!!! This author KNOWS how to tell a story! She writes an honest "HOT" love scene & you are right there with the characters! The feelings they are feeling become your feelings & you know exactly what she is trying to get across!! I haven't read a book that excited me so much (in more ways than one) in ages! I would compare her to some of the other "GREAT" authors except I think she is going to stand alone for a LONG time!!! Treat yourself to a great read & then be sure to get the second copy for when this one is worn out, I already have! I say this because the one other book Ms. Schone wrote is almost impossible to find & this book is a KEEPER!! So don't be caught without your's...
Rating: Summary: HOT!!! Review: I recently purchased "Captivated", where Ms. Schone was one of the featured authors. The story was very moving and sweet, it handled the innocence of a young woman so beautifully, that I immediately went out and looked for another book by Ms. Schone. That is how I came across The Ladys Tutor. Once I began reading this book, I really could not put it down! The story of Elizabeth Petre and Ramiel the "Bastard Sheik" was so well written. Although Elizabeth Petre was married in the story, Ms. Schone dealt with her sexual naivete in a very loving; yet, erotic way. It was the best romance story I have read this year. It is definitely a book that I intend to keep so that I may enjoy again and again!!! I came across this review site while searching for more books by Ms. Schone. I can't wait to read more!!!
Rating: Summary: Lady's tutor Dances with sexual tension ! Well Done! Review: Lady's Tutor is a well crafted romance novel well thought out excellent story line and is wonderfuly erotic without the usual stupidity that goes with the situations these authors dream up well researched well done .
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. This is the way to write a spicy romance! Everything about these two, was perfect. I might just read this book again next month :)I am on the hunt now--I have to read "Awaken, My Love". If this book is any indication of her talent, Awaken will be just as good.
Rating: Summary: A warm and sexy story that breaks the stereotypes. Review: The Lady's Tutor, featuring an Arabian "bastard sheik," showed a side of this type of hero not usually seen in romance. Not only was he blonde, but he was sexy and caring. The author handled taboo issues very well.
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: A skillful blend of romance and erotica, this book isn't for the faint of heart. But for those who like a racy love story, this book is perfect. Steamy, passionate, emotional -- a synthesis of the best the romance genre has to offer. I can't wait to see what Robin Schone comes up with next!
Rating: Summary: STEAMY.....ANOTHER SEXY LOVE-STORY TO TREASURE! Review: THIS SECOND BOOK IS MAGICAL. I MUST ADMIT, I LIKE "AWAKEN MY LOVE" BETTER THAN THIS ONE (MORE EROTIC), BUT THE STORY OF "THE LADY'S TUTOR" IS MORE SENSIBLE. I STRONGLY URGE MISS SCHONE TO DELIGHT US WITH MORE BOOKS TO COME. YOU'RE ONE OF MY BELOVED AUTHORS OF ALL TIME, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. THERE'S ONLY ONE SUGGESTION I NEED TO MAKE, PLEASE EXCLUDE ANY OFFSPRINGS IN YOUR STORYLINE. I THINK IT DAMPENS THE RELATIONSHIP SOMEWHAT.
Rating: Summary: Robin Schone,,what a powerful message!! Review: Please excuse me, i am writing this as i am wiping the tears literally streaming down my cheeks. I have just finished reading 'THE LADY'S TUTOR' by Robin Schone. What a wonderful and powerful read! I am struggling to express how i feel about this book. If your preference is sweet this is not the book for you. but if you can read a spicy romance, then if you pick up no other book this summer,,READ THIS BOOK. (SOB, GULP,,WHATEVER!) I just picked up this book this afternoon, and i can honestly say i didn't move until it was finished. i just checked the new reviews at another site and wholeheartedly agree with ms. Uncapher's review with one exception. i think she was a little stingy in her A- rating. this book is going to get one of my few 5 star rating and will be a KEEPER shelf book. i will probably wait a few days, but i'll read it again. i engulfed it so fast i'm sure i missed some things. this author is a powerful writer. like the reviewer, i agree the prose written by this writer takes you and wraps you deeply into the emotions and feeling of the characters. Please read it. don't let the scare tactics of those that feel she pushes the edge to much turn you away. the scenes she writes are tastefully done and are within the context of the story line. she does include a 'masterbation' scene, but it only stresses the lonliness and despair the character feels in her lack of choices and options. this story does not promote adultery as some would say. despite the coldness and lack of feeling given this character from her husband, she really struggles with the thought of being unfaithful to her husband and what it would do to her family. it was not something that was taken lightly or acted on quickly. i won't go into to much detail other than to say something that the reviewer left out. this writer is not writing just erotica. yes it is explicit, but it has a purpose and it deals with many issues that plagued women during the era it wrote about. to have shoved the love scenes or frank sexual talk behind closed doors or a closing curtain would have seemed to much a part of the oppression this character was living with in her marriage and society as a whole. and just as important as the romance, and what makes this book especially important, i think, is the underlying theme or 'motive'. whether this was intentional because of the comments made about her first book, well it's such a powerful message it simply does not matter... that women no matter what century they are born in should be careful in allowing someone else to control their lives, or the information they are given. if no other book stresses the importance of watching how people try to censor your lives, this is the one to read. how many of us have struggled with our own self confidence simply because we have let what society dictate and sell us a picture of 'the perfect woman'. or how certain feelings about our bodies or our right to our own sensuous natures are somehow wrong or sinful. i was in complete sympathy with this character and felt her emotions as my own on many levels. i will warn you, that this book is very spicy and deals in harsh reality with the problems that faced a women in the victorian era and society in general. not to give anything away, the ultimate conclusion about her relationship with her husband and family is not a pretty one but was an accurate picture of society and its way of dealing with differences until they became 'perversions'. this book is not for the faint of heart, but if you can take it, it was very uplifting because the final message; no matter how much opposition you face, from home, from society, even from family, love will conqueor if you want it to, and knowledge gives you power, power to heal and to knowing oneself. i can't recommend this book strongly enough. it is a perfect example of how a 'spicy' romance should be written and will make you realize what we have been given lately by other writers and publishers have just been 'pap'. this has been the book i have been waiting for all year. i am so glad this author pushed and got published! i can't recommend another book as strongly as i do this one. MS. SCHONE,,please keeping writing,,i am looking forward to your next one!
