Rating: Summary: Schone is the master Review: Loved it. Schone adds so much to the genre of romance.
Rating: Summary: BRILLIANT Review: I honestly cant see how some read this book and say that it is homophobic...are there homosexuals in it? yes....are they bad people?..in this instance..yes..but there just as many heterosexuals in this world(if not more) that do awful things....That wasnt the purpose of this book Im sure. This was a LOVE story..I will agree that it was HIGHLY erotic, yet, to me, that wasnt really the focus here...the focus was on 2 lonely people looking for love who found it with eachother. I absolutely loved this. I would recommend this book in a blink.
Rating: Summary: The best of the best Review: This is my favorite book of all times. Robin Schone is one of my favorite authors. I love the way she describes the characters, the scenes, it is very detailed and explicit, but with taste. Her descriptions are never gross or disgusting, it really makes you fall in love with the characters and once you start reading you wont stop. I also read The lover and enjoyed it as much as this one. I just started Gabriels Woman, its a little bit different from what I expected at the beginning but its getting really exciting cant wait to see what happens at the end, its really keeping me at an edge.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: What else can I say. I have laughed, smiled, dreamed, had fantasies, and wondered why women find passion on the pages of books more than they do in their everyday life. Women all over the world have these feelings and they are not all virgins and even if they were it is still an honorable state and nothing to be ashamed of. To find love, passion, and sensualness at any age and stage of life is a blessing. I admire elizabeth for going for the gold even with the fear of losing all that she had. Women deserve pleasure in bed and they deserve a man who is secure in himself and selfless enough to know that in giving her pleasure he can only receive. What endeared me to Ramiel is that at no time did he ever disrespect her or make her feel guilty for desiring. What he did do was give her options and for whatever reason women in general seem to believe in the past as well as now that they had no options. As women we really dont have to settle for less. Thank you Robin for a wonderful story and a heroine who was real and looked like a woman and not barbie
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have read! Review: I love to read erotic romances, and uptil now I thought Susan Johnson was the best at writing them....Was I wrong! I purchased this book based upon the unusual storyline, and though I had some apprehensions before reading it, I realised I would have made a big mistake if I hadn't. What made me like this book more than any other work of erotic romance was the fact that Ms Schone took care to ensure that there was a bonding of the souls as well as that of the flesh. In so many of these romances, the autors are in a hurry to put in the next big sex scene that they forget the fact there is supposed to be romance too, along with the erotica. Ms Schone's love scenes are blunt, straightforward and free of purple prose. That's what makes them all the more erotic. I am on my way to buy The Lover and Gabriel's Woman, and I am sure that inspite of the negative reviews, I will definitely savour those books too.
Rating: Summary: One of the BEST Books I've ever read. Review: This book is not for fans of purple prose, innocent kisses or tender mercies. BUT, The Lady's Tutor is very well written (as are all of Robin Schone's books), smart and highly sensual. Robin has cornered the market in women's erotica and I cannot recommend The Lady's Tutor enough.
Rating: Summary: Wierd Review: Really wierd...that is about all I have to say on this book. The author is wierd. This book is not your typical romance....Dont' read it as one. It is erotica, which is defined in purely different tones.
Rating: Summary: The Lady's Tutor Review: This is without a doubt one of the best romance stories I have ever read. The heroine is such a sad lonely creature. Ramiel is one of the sexiest yet. But not only is he sexy he is considerate and cares for her feelings. None of this nasty until he gets the woman. He cares more for her than himself. He is also a sad lonely person and it made me want to cry at how such a kind man man being treated that way by society. I know they will have a happy life together along with her two boys. Her husband is cruel and so are her parents. They deserved more than what they got. But as someone else said homosexuality was a crime in the Victorian days. I don't want to give away more of the plot. But be sure and read this book. I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews.
Rating: Summary: The Absolute Best Review: I'm not going into detail about the plot. That is covered in other reviews. I am just going to say this erotic romance has what most erotic romances miss. A wonderful story, characters you really grow to care for and root for and a great story of need and fulfillment. Please don't miss this one!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful love story Review: The Lady's Tutor is a beautiful moving love story. This book isn't for the faint of heart. If you like hot sex scenes and a well developed plot then TLT is not to be missed. In response to the pedophilia and homosexuality issues, I don't feel that Mrs. Schone was "gay bashing" or portraying pedophilia as the norm for gay men. The story shows some of the ugly things that happen but also the ability to overcome such terrible things. Very moving and with a happy ending. A definite keeper.
