Review: I chuckled my way through a good portion of this book. So many embarrassing moments for our poor hero! Kerrich is absolutely endearing. He is so supremely arrogant, vain and cocky (he is good-looking, titled and rich - in his opinion this gives him every reason to be confident) yet so good-hearted beneath it all. He finds his perfect match in Pamela, a heroine who goes undercover and proves that looks are less than everything. This is my second Christina Dodd book. The first ("A Scandalous Evening") left me less than impressed. However, after Rules of Engagement I will definitely be more eager to check out her other offerings.

Review: I had high hopes for Ms. Dodd but I found the 2nd book in her governess series did not ..hhmm how to say grasp my attention. The first book was okay maybe I went into the second book with too high of hopes. The next Dodd book won't be on my MUST have list.

Review: I have read every one of her books that I can buy here from Amazon and this is the best, although they have all been consistently good. The sensuality is fantastic -- I was late for work because of it! I love the characters. The more Dodd writes, the better she gets.

Summary: Excellent from cover to cover
Review: I have read quite a few Christina Dodd novels, but this one is my favorite! I was rather discouraged by the first book in the series, but this was simply wonderful. Devon and Pamela have such wonderful chemistry, and the twist as to where they have met before was great. The addition of the orphan and the bank scandal helped by overshadowing the whole icky Queen Victoria threat. Go get this book!

Review: I knew from the excerpt on Christina Dodd's website that I would love this book and I did. Pamela loves nothing more than she loves money and when she meets the arrogant Devon sparks fly. Words fail me on just how wonderful the interaction is between all of the characters. Even the secondary ones will live on in your heart long after you finish the book.

Review: I loved this book. The hero and heroine were very realistic and the resolution of the problems from their past was logical within the storyline of the book. The detail of Ms. Dodd's writing really had me feeling as if I was in the story watching a play or movie. Everytime my reading would be interrupted, I felt a jolt back to reality. I highly recommend it!

Review: I must admit that after reading RULES OF SURRENDER I did not expect much from the second novel. I truly couldn't have been more wrong. While I found the first of the governess brides quite tedious and almost boring, I delighted in reading RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. I laughed my way through the book, and fell in love with all the characters. I had been prepared to return this book, after my dissapointment with the first, and am so glad that I decided to read it anyway. Pamela and Devon were so real and believable, both suffering from their own personal disillusionment with their parents. Beth was an absolute gem, the brave orphan that Pamela rescued from the orphanage, and she brightened the entire story with her presence. And the love scenes in this novel are so hot!! I would have prefered to have an epilogue though, to see them married with their baby, but perhaps they make an appearance in RULES OF ATTRACTION. I have yet to read the third of the series, but after this one I will definitely give it a try!!

Summary: Strong Heroine, Sweet Romance
Review: I really enjoyed this book and thought it was one of Ms. Dodd's best works. It was a refreshing change for the hero, Lord Kerrich, to find himself drawn to a supposedly older and unattractive governess because he enjoyed talking with her. Lord Kerrich and Pamela had great chemistry and both had a mutual goal to love and be loved once they worked through their painful pasts. I thought it was so sweet that Lord Kerrich had never forgotten that young girl he had seen so many years ago. It really gave you the impression that they were always destined for each other.
