Summary: I only wish today's standards were the same
Review: Christine Bennett's grandfather died, and left everything to Christine. The will supposedley also said that in the event of Christine's death, Vince Jeffers, her gramp's partner, would get get everything. SO Christine flees knowing Vince is out to murder her. She ends up in Baxter and meets the Camerons. Her life is turned upside down. She finally meets God, her husband, and peace.

Lori Wick is a great author and this book is no exception. I highly recommend it!

Summary: I loved this heartwarming and charming story of love
Review: I first read this book when I was about 13 years old, from the first chapter I was totally hooked. This was a very heartwarming story full of love, romance, family, humor, and suspense. I've read many books, but A Place Called Home is by far the very best I have ever read. It really touched me. It's the kind of book you just can't put down and when your finished you can read again and again. This book will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks Lori Wick.

Summary: A young woman orphaned, rescued, loved!
Review: I found this first book of the series to be too predictable, too cut and dried and a little too sugary for good journalism compared to Lori Wick's other books. However, it still was good enough for me to finish and head for book 2. I like to know there is more intrigue and suspense and journalistic planning!

Summary: A Plcae Called Home is Wonderful
Review: I had a friend lend me her book. I thought that it was going to be boring, But when I started reading it. I just couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed it so much. that I talked my husband into buying me the last two of the series. Now I look for her books at Flea Markets and yard sales everytime we go to one, just hoping that someone is sale a copy of any of her books so that I can add it to our church Library. This would be a get book for a teenage girl to read. I plan on letting my girls it this book and the rest of the series when they become teenagers.

Summary: I know I already wrote one but...
Review: I had to write another one. For as many times as I have read this book since I bought it, I have never tired of it. It isn't the story line that brings me back to it, though the story line is excellent, it's the characters that make me read the book. I love big families, such as the Cameron family. There are more people to love and more people to love you in a big family, especially if Christ is the head of the home. The Cameron family had a lot of love for each other, and they were able to spread that love to others as well. I can imagine that Dr. Mark Cameron was the best loved doctor that town ever had. Grandma Em was well loved by her friends and family as well. This is the perfect example of how a family should be. I don't mean that all families have to be large, but they should have the same love that this family had. Sure, this family probably had fights, but they strived to make things right again. They appologized, they hugged a lot, the talked things out rather than let things fester. They never said hurtful things to each other, they never physically abused each other. That is how a family should be. But they can only be that way if they have Jesus Christ at the head of the home. Only He can give you the understanding and unsurpassing love for one another. And His love isn't just physical, either, its a feeling of warmth and gentleness. The Camerons didn't have to hug and kiss to show their love, they showed their love by caring, doing things for each other, admonishing each other when they needed admonishing, but only doing it out of love. They are the reason I keep reading the books, for the love they have, for the excitement of the story.

Summary: The best book I have ever read!!!!!
Review: I have read a lot of Christian novels, and even have tried to write some of my own. Never before have I read a book so warm. It was so good that I cannot find the proper words to describe it. God was mentioned on almost every page in a personal way as if He was their best friend. The characters in the story were as real as any one of us right now. I love Lorie Wicks work more than any other author I have ever read. I can't wait to read more of her work.

Summary: The suspense of this book held me till I reached the end.
Review: I love reading! This book was very well written and it captured, in its fullness, the intensity, the drama, and the love a woman needed in her time of helplessness. The love (Jesus) she found could not be compared to any other. I would suggest this book to anyone who would like to know what happened to Christine in regards to her Grandfather's estate and also what became of Luke Cameron. If you wanna know, go get the book. I think its worth it.*s*

Summary: WOW!
Review: I thought the book was amazingly interesting and it had a great moral. There should be more books like this on the bookstands of Amereica today. She's my favorite author.
