Summary: Fabulous!
Review: After reading "Texas Destiny" there was absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that I had to finish the series. "Texas Glory" did not disappoint. I have to admit that Dallas wasnt my fave after meeting him in the first book, but wow! This was fantastic. I thought that he and Dee were great together..what a 2 hanky read! Whew! My only complaint with this book is that I felt like Dallas and Dee needed to work on communicating a little bit better..so much heartache could have been avoided if only they would have opened up a bit more to eachother. Other than that..perfect.

Summary: Texas Glory is a must read for romance fans!
Review: After reading Texas Destiny, the first in this trilogy, I was eager for Ms. Heath's next book. I was very skeptical, however, about the main character for this book. Ms. Heath does not disappoint, though. She took a life-hardened man and let us see inside his shell. Once you understand his point of view, which is easy with Ms. Heath's insight, he becomes quite lovable. It was a joy to see how the other character's lives have progressed, and I can hardly wait to read Austin's tale!

Summary: Absolutely wonderful!
Review: At first I did not like Dallas. You learn about him and his family in the fist book Texas Destiny. The reason I didn't like him was for what he wanted out of life and how he went about reaching his goal.
Dallas Leigh & the McQueen's are sworn enemies. In Texas if you own a cattle ranch the most import thing is water. The feud over the water causes Dallas to strong arm Mr. McQueen into turning over his daughter (Cordelia) into marriage.
Dallas's younger brother Austin who was best friends with the youngest McQueen son was told some very unpleasant things about Cordelia. Dallas doesn't care, all he care's about is getting a son. This leads to some very funny things on the wedding night.
I laughed out loud on several parts of this book.
There are some scenes in this book that are very unpleasant centering on a very young boy. However, the love and devotion that Dallas and Amelia begin to have help this young boy as well.
Lorraine Heath writes a very good story. Every story is a page turner. I hope you enjoy!

Summary: Beautiful romance
Review: For the past three years, Texas rancher Dallas Leigh and the McQueen family have squabbled over ownership of land surrounding a river. Dallas has a deed and has tried to fence his land, but the McQueen family has always cut the fence down so their cattle can graze near the water. The latest incident led to Dallas's brother Austin being shot and Boyd McQueen breaking his arm. Dallas, who wants a son, decides it is time to end the feud. He visits the patriarch of the McQueen family to cut a deal. He will give them the land surrounding the river in exchange for McQueen's daughter Cordelia as his wife. With the additional caveat that Cordelia inherits in case of the death of Dallas, the deal is struck.
Cordelia has been hidden away from public view so Dallas does not know what he has purchased. However, she turns out to be a pretty but shy person, and soon they marry. It does not take long for the couple to overcome their discomfit and mistrust with each other. This quickly turns into a deep abiding love. However, there remains Cordelia's cruel brother who wants to own and dominate everything. Dallas must contend with him before Dallas and Cordelia can begin to find a lasting happiness together.
Lorraine Heath is renowned for her western romances and her latest American historical, TEXAS GLORY, will bring the talented writer much deserved glory. The return of Dallas (and his brothers) adds a charming feeling of homecoming and the intrepid Cordelia demonstrates that when you have goodness inside one's heart, environment can be overcome. Readers who have already enjoyed Houston's story will be impatient for Austin's tale.

Summary: Beautiful, emotional, don't miss this one!
Review: I hate writing reviews about books like Texas Destiny because I know I can't do them justice with my measly vocabulary. Saying it made me laugh, cry, ache and that I never wanted it to end just doesn't seem like enough.
The plot revolves around two characters who don't know how to communicate. They keep their feelings inside, and tip-toe around other. This type of storyline will normally drive me insane but because Heath gets you into the heads of her people so skillfully you don't question their insecurities and faults. I understood, sympathized, ached and got frustrated right along with them - but never at them. And at no time did I get the urge to pound them over the head with something. Heath has a way of making me instantly fall in love her characters even though (or maybe because?) they are not perfect.
One of the best things about this series is the strong sense of family and the fact that her characters grow and change but don't suddenly turn into different people from one book to another. Dallas's brothers' Austin and Houston and his loving family are a big part of this story and provide humor and poignancy to an already deeply emotional love story.
I can count on one hand the number of romances that kept me so riveted that I couldn't close my eyes until I turned the last page (coincidentally one of them is Heath's TEXAS DESTINY). I immediately fell into this story and about ¾'s of the way in I was sobbing like a fool. I still remember the characters names a day later without notes (an amazing feat for my feeble brain, believe me) and their lives and personalities still linger in my mind. I wrapped up the book about 12:00 am last night and today I'm dead tired but it was worth it! I easily give this book my highest rating, it touched me deeply and is one of those rare books that I'm forever searching for and seldom find.

Summary: The most wonderful author ever, strikes again.
Review: I have just finished reading the first two parts of this trilology. I can not wait until the next book arrives. I read Texas Destiny and Texas Glory in two days time, I have never been so moved by a story ever in my life. I just wanted to reach in and be a part of everyones lives, for the most part I felt as if I was really there as events unfolded. Lorraine Heath is a fabulous author, and as long as she keep writing with that much emotion and spirit, I shall continue to purchase and read her works of heart.
