Review: In my oppinion, this is the second best book written by Ms. Woodiwiss /the first is The Flame and the Flower/. When I first read it, I could not stop until the end and I read it late in the night just to know the happy-end. I knew from the moment Lord Saxton appeared, that he was the man Erienne loved. But I wanted to know, how and when SHE learned it! I reccommend this story to everyone, who likes Ms. Woodiwiss' books. You won't be dissapointed!

Review: This is the first book that I read by Ms. Woodiwiss. I thought it was great. The characters were wonderfully developed, and the story was also very interesting. Now that I have read all of the other Woodiwiss books, I have got to say: READ SO WORTHY MY LOVE. It is the only book better than A rose in Winter.

Summary: What a sweeping romance.
Review: I though this book was very well written. It cought me totally off guard when Saxon revealed himself. I was totally shocked. I had to go back and read it agian to make sure I read it right. This is a classic "Beauty and the Beast" tail. When I read it, the book was my second Woodiwiss book. The Flame and the Flower being the first. I love the way Erienne was desribed. It gave me such a good picture, I drew her for my art class and got an A on it. Woodiwiss has got me hooked on her novels. Thanks for such a great book.

Review: I read this book in one weekend which is really fast for me as it usually takes me one full week to finish a book. Although not as outstanding as Shanna, it was definitely a great book. The reviews given by other readers is what convinced me to purchase. Not a disappointment in the least. Lord Saxton and Erienne were a delightful couple.

Summary: KATHERINE's BEST EVER!!!!
Review: I first read this book in 1987 in less than 3 days. I've read it several times since and it totally envelopes me and I enjoy it more each time. If ever a Movie for TV needed to be produced, this is the one with Susan Lucci or Jane Seymour playing Erienne. Ms.Woodwiss is truly the best historical romance writers of her time and she has captured the true essence of romance with this book. I always recommend it as #1 on my list.

Review: A Rose in Winter is a book that is so engrossing that you will not be able to put it down. I read the entire book in three days! This book is so good that I got up at 4:30am on a work day to be able to read a chapter or two. You become a part of this book. You feel such anger towards Avery and wonder when he will get his just desserts! You will become emotionally involved in this book. Sit down with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and enjoy! This book is a winner!
