Summary: A Book Worth Reading Again and Again and Again..............
Review: I was 17 when my father purchased this book for me, just getting into historical romance. I am now 37 years old. I have the big version of this book so you know it is old. But that does not stop me from pulling it out every year and reading it again. No matter how many times I read it, I find something new that I did not see before and I find it very hard to put the book down. The story had everything in it that makes a book worth reading. It has comedy, romance, suspense, tragedy, and hope. the characters were very lovable and real to life. I only wish that Ms. Woodiwiss wrote a sequel to it. I have been waiting for many years to see one. I hope not to be disappointed. Erienne and Christopher are an adorable couple. Please continue their story, or maybe tell her brother's story and let Erienne and Christopher come for a visit.........

Summary: Unforgettable Love Story!
Review: A new take on the Beauty and the Beast story, A Rose in Winter is one of my top 3 romance novels. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. Erienne is a colorful, willful, and proud character that readily jumps out of the pages, making it easy to relate with her. Christopher was a devious and thoroughly devastating character, it was impossible not to fall for him. The story was enticing and romantic, it was magnificently written. I was able to form a mental image of all the characters and the background as if seeing it on television. Being a romantic at heart, I truly love this book! My wish is that other writers would keep to the same formula Ms. Woodiwiss does, romance is in the way you seduce through looks and anticipation before touch. I now believe in romance and true love.

Summary: Best Romance Ever
Review: This was probably the first romance novel I ever read, and certainly the first Woodiwiss novel. I can't tell you how lucky I was to read this before any other romance; it is by far the most excellent romance novel I have ever come across. After having read something this high-quality, I couldn't go back to anything less. I recommend this book to anyone at all who loves quality, strong characters, excellent writing. While most of the other Woodiwiss novels always ended up disappointing me, this one is still a personal classic, and, several years later (I read my mother's copy in grade school and now I'm a freshman in college and have gone through two copies) it's still the best romance I've ever read. I pick it up again and again, to remind myself how writing's REALLY done. Three cheers for Erienne and her wonderful lover, Christopher, one of the best men in fiction!

Review: I never liked romance until I read Kathleens book "A Rose In Winter" now I 've read almost all of them with in four months. They have to be the best ever. I reamend them to all my friends. ages 12 and up. I just love them. I'd love to see some of them made into movies.

Review: It was the first Kathleen E. Woodiwiss book for me and it got me hooked. It was so beautiful how the story turned out for Erienne. I knew right away who she married and I was dying to get to the part where Erienne found out, too. It is truly the best novel I have ever read. I cried because it was so wonderfully romantic. And I loved the way the characters were described.

Review: This is my first time reading Ms. Woodiwiss's novel, and totally i fell in love. The characters Christopher and Erienne were well suited together; though there were some of Erienne's scenes involving her pride that kind of made me think it was as too much. But all in all, the book was great.
