Summary: Out Of This World
Review: This is the third book i have read by KEW and again i was not at all disappointed. I used to hate reading books but ever since i read the book "The Flame and The Flower"by KEW i have made it my goal to read all of her romance stories. KEW has a way of making me feel as if i am inside the book and makes me wish that i was actually there. The men in her stories just take my breath away. Geez, i wish i could meet a guy like that!
This book i would have to say is just as good as The Flame and The Flower since there is no possible way i could say that one of KEW's books are better than the other. I love the way that in this book as like the other books, the men think that they can never fall in love and that they have no weakness, but when they meet these women they fall in love instantly and can not live without them. The way Christopher Seton is so determined to win Eirienn's heart is great! but since Eirienne is too loyal to her new huband she can not yeild herself to Christopher even tho she secretly feels the same way about him.
You will really love this story and to anyone who thinks this is a bad story, you obviosly don't have anywere near good taste in books, and it's not like you or anyone else could do any better. This book it really out of this world so find it, read it and you will not be let down. Kathleen E Woodiwiss is really the best author in my eyes and i will not stop untill i have read all of her books because they are phenominal.

Summary: A Heart Tormented
Review: Erienne's father had given her hand to the richest suitor. She was now Lady Saxton, mistress of a great manor all but ruined by fire, wife to a man whose mysteriously shrouded form aroused fear and pity. Yet even as she fell in love with her adoring husband, Erienne despaired of freeing her heart from the dashingly handsome Yankee who couldn't forget her. The beautiful Erienne, once filled with young dreams of romance, was now a wife and woman...torn between the two men she loved. This book was by far one of the best I have ever read. It was a perfect Beauty and the Beast love story. Such a wonderful fairly tale. I recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: All I got was the beast!
Review: I don't know why I ever trust Amazon reviews. I have yet to pick a good book this way. I am so tired of writing bad reviews, you'd think that the authors would be tired of writing bad novels. In all fairness this book was written 10 years ago. Maybe back then it did pass for good writing. I really don't know even how to review this novel since I only got to page 165. After that I just gave up. It was just that bad. Really at about page 5 I wanted to hit the wall with it but I decided to give it a chance because I had read the Elusive Flame and sort of liked it even though it took a while to get going. But this one never got going. It just went nowhere very painfully slowly. The characters were more like caricatures. The hero just wants sex at first sight of the beauty. She in turn wants the same thing although she doesn't know what it is called that she is feeling (lust). Then the whole farce of an escape followed by wedding was all I could take. Only a fool couldn't see where the story was going from there, and that's really being unkind to fools. This story is way too long. Cut it about 200-300 pages and maybe it will be readable. As it was I found myself skipping pages and pages of unneeded description and narration. All in all, the blurb on the back of the book sounds good but the writing just doesn't live up.

Two stars is really being kind on my part. I paid full price for this novel unlike another reviewer who merely borrowed it from a library. I wish i had saved my money and done the same thing. I know a lot of people love this novel. Some people even love tripe. The world is diverse.

Summary: A must read
Review: Woodiwiss wrote 6 great romances which made her reputation. They were her first six books. This is one of them. The others were 1) The Flame and the Flower, 2) The Wolf and the Dove, 3) Shauna, 4)Ashes in the wind, 5) (this book)and 6) Come Love a Stranger. All the rest were duds.

Summary: Wonderful!!
Review: When I first read this book, i fell in love with it. I think it's the most romantic book ever (and I've read a lot! ). The characters of Erienne Fleming and Christopher Seton are so wonderful and the story in itself is just so well written that I couldn't resist reading another book by Kathleen Woodiwiss. In one word: magnificent. It would be great to have an adaptation of this book and I think that the part of Christopher Seton must be played by the handsome and dashing Christopher Douglas!

Summary: A Classic
Review: Simply magical. The characters are well-developed and the plot is fresh with the twists and suprises thrown in. By far the best novel written as yet by Ms. Woodiwiss, and a definite keeper on my list!

Review: the moment i started reading this book i could not put it down!erienne was lovely and the wedding without love made me keep on turning the pages.it gave me almost the same amount of shock which erienne had to find out the reality.christopher seton was very life-like and endearing though he kept teasing our heroine quite unmercifully.i espacially liked the barn scene..... the host of secondry characters was very interesting espacially the vamp and her beau made me laugh a lot. i would recommend thisbook to evey romance reador looking for a nice long read.i wiil also look forward to all titles by this author.i think i'm gonna be a loyal fan of hers for a long time to come

Summary: TIMELESS LOVE STORY
Review: LOVE IT ,A MUST HAVE FOR ALL WHO HAVE EVER BEEN IN LOVE.

Summary: Loved it!!!
Review: I absollutely loved this romance novel!! Ms. Woodiwiss enchanted me with the way in which she wrote the story. It was like reading beauty and the beast, but with much more detail and romance. Arianne's father just had to mary her off to a saxon Lord who was masked. It was claimed he was disfigured, but no one could be sure how he became that way. She was forced to mary this man, but her heart leaped everytime another man gave her special attentions. This other man was quite hamsome enough to tempt Arianne. Yet as the faithful wife of the man she had vowed to mary, her heart was torn between both men, since the gentleness, kindness , and love the beast demonstrated toward Arianne, caused her heart to begin to melt towards him. The real question was: Who would Arianne end of with? The culmination of this book will absollutely shock you. It was an unforgettable novel, and I believe, one of Kathleen E. Woodiwiss's best works yet...

Summary: The best Woodwiss book I've read.
Review: This is only the third book of Woodwiss that I've read but it is definitely better than the others. She still does follow her formula of writing - characters have not much depth (we just know that they're astoundingly beautiful), the main female character is constantly sought out by every male alive everywhere .. anywhere and the main characters only seem to love each other for no reason other than their physical looks.

The story had a nice, interesting plot but it wasn't very difficult to figure out the whole book by the time the auction came around - Saxton, the night rider, what-not. Erienne was a likeable character although she was supposed to be a little strong-willed, but throughout the book she kept needing to be rescued by Christopher .. repeatedly. She seemed like a very weak person despite being called willfull but her 'willfullness' never existed.

Her treatment of Lord Saxton was awful I would have to say for someone who was supposed to be a compassionate person (she helped a man named Ben, who was also deformed I think, it was mentioned early in the book). I felt sorry for Lord Saxton and Christopher because there was obviously nothing redeemable in Erienne's character [but they don't love her because of her character, do they?]. Also hated how each and every man who ever crossed her path just absolutely cannot help himself & just wants to have her, it was just too unbelievable.

Christopher was an OK character, not much depth - could have delved deeper into that and also with Lord Saxton's character. Certain plot points weren't believable - why didn't Erienne's father let her marry Christopher .. isn't he just completely rich and that's all that matters to him? Why do the main characters love each other in the end? How could Erienne NOT know who she really married? [don't want to give anything away]. A decent enough read, the plot was interesting and unique although too thinly veiled. It was a little too long in my opinion, since the reader already knows by the first quarter what's going to happen and it takes a whole long, long time for it to draw out.

After reading this book, I'd have to say that this shall be my final Woodwiss book. Her books are all too predictable and formulatic, they leave me with too many questions anyway. I know I'm probably the only one who dislikes her writing - this book has gotten such glowing reviews, but i just can't see it.
