Review: I liked this book but I am a VERY VERY skinny person and I felt that the emphasis placed on the looks is overly done although I do admire the author's attempt at trying to get people to view woman in a more realistic light. But a reminder, not all woman who are skinny don't suffer from low self-esteem, people do condemn us for being skinny and setting unrealistic standards for modern women. I felt like I was being condemned throughout the book. It's not a sin to be skinny you know..Anyway, overall the book was sweet...

Summary: Great Simply Great
Review: The only thing I could have possibly wanted from this book was more pages. (or maybe a sequel) I loved the fact that the skinny girl did NOT get the guy and he loved Nellie all the more for her size. I have never read another book in which the heroine wasn't a skinny little thing. So many books are full of all sorts of problems, but the love story of Nellie and Jace was much more innocent. There were certainly enough problems to make it interesting though (Terel and Berni). He just met her and fell in love, no matter what she looked like. I like that in a guy.

Review: This book truly presents women in an honest light. Deveraux should be commended for her portrayal of Nellie, a character so much like modern-day women. Women are not all a size two, actually that is a rarity. Deveraux teaches us that the men who truly matter understand the definition of a "real woman."

Review: WHEN SHE WROTE THIS BOOK ,SHE MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING OF THE AVERAGE WOMEN IN THE WORLD. I THANK SOMEONE FOR DOING JUST THAT. JACE IS VERY GOOD LOOKING MAN, LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT WOMEN, WHICH IS NELLIE. NELLIE IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY, THAT HAS A GREAT BIG HEART THAT CARES FOR EVERY ONE ESLE FIRST AND HER SELF COMES LAST EVERY TIME. WHAT HAPPEN TO BERNIE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF SHE WENT TO HEAVEN OR HELL OR DID SHE STAY IN THE KITCHEN. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT HER SISTER AND DADDY.

Review: Wishes is my favorite book of Jude's...I've read this book a countless number of times and it still leaves me teary eyed and jubilant...This is the first romance book i've ever read where the main character is an "average" woman..She's not thin and model like...Instead,Nellie is like alot of us women...She's just a genuinely good hearted woman...All the characters were great,the dialog flowed and it kept me wanting more..Did not want to put it down.A definate must for romance readers.

Review: Wishes held me captivated from beginning to end. It really made you a part of the story and made you feel for the characters. You rarely read a book wishing for a sequel, but with Wishes you never want to leave the lives of the characters you are reading about. It also reaches out to anyone who has ever been overweight with low self esteem and it makes you believe that in this cruel world there really is someone for everyone.

Jace and Nellie ,a cinderella story,i like it how Jace doesn't look just at appearance he goes deeper,how he pursues this woman that nobody notices,he just saw something about her,that makes his heart flutter... Jace Montgomery is the son of Captain Montgomery and La Reina in MOUNTAIN LAUREL... I love this story,i love it love it love it...

Review: Great story as your other readers have all already shared. I didn't like that you made her plump and then you made her skinny. Other than this little bitty thing the book was a very good read. okay I also really wanted the sister to pay for her selfishness, the pig farmer and his kids should have gotten a better deal.

Review: I did enjoy this book, it was nice to have the lady of a Montgomery was not skin & bones. I only gave this book 3 stars because the ending just did not do it for me, it felt so rushed and just did not have what I needed

I mean *poof* her sister and dad are in love and *poof* Jace and Nellie are together forever and happy.

This book is a nice book to read and it is very different with Bernie as a sort of fairy godmother but it wasnt the best book of Mrs deveraux that I've read.
