Rating: Summary: NOT HER BEST!! Review: I absolutly loved All Shook Up by Susan Andersen but this book doesn't even come close. Susan needs to stick to her local of Washington state and stay away from the South. The southern New Orleans dialect about drove me crazy, I could hardly understand what they were saying most of the time. Also, the story is really lame with the secondary characters, actually kind of stupid to think about it. I found myself skipping through alot of the book just to get back to the two main characters and their relationship. It's an okay read, but would recommend her other books over this one.
Rating: Summary: Characters shine through in this excellent novel Review: I freely admit that I got weird looks while skimming this book in the bookshop. That's because I was laughing my butt off during the first chapter because Beau Dupre was such a typical American male. Thank God! At last someone has the guts to write a man with foibles other than an inability to trust! This book has excellent dialogue and an intriguing plot. More than that, the characters have depth. I really adored Juliet Rose Astor Lowell because of her wide-eyed naivete when faced with the seedier sections of New Orleans. Her innocent sensuality is such a wonderful foil for Beau's in-your-face sexual aggressiveness. Juliet can definitely hold her own. Beware, the sex scenes are too good to read just once, and if your husband ever whispered or thought any of the things that Beau does, you'd be in trouble. (You know, the kind of "Let's-call-in-sick-and-do-it-until-Hannukah" type of trouble.) Enjoy this novel. It's great for a summer read!
Rating: Summary: AWESOME Review: I hardly ever read romance novels and this is my second one I have read and its amamzing. Beaureguard and Juliet are amazing characters. You fall in love with them. They seem so attracted to each other from the beginning. They start out not wanting to be around one another but after the car scene in the rain they can't help but fall for one another. The names that Beau called Julier like Rosebud just makes you heart melt. I love it especiall when Juliet told Beaureguard that she loved him and he got all freaked out. Then I especially loved it when he confessed his love for Juliet. I love this book and I will never get tired of reading it over and over.
Rating: Summary: Usually love Andersen's books-but the guy's a pig Review: I have read and enjoyed most of Susan Andersen's books, but I really did NOT like the male lead. Beau's lifelong fantasy is to bed every stripper in New Orleans? Our girl deserves better. The book has its moments but I did not see the appeal of our hero(?).
Rating: Summary: Exciting and very sexy Review: I have to say, this book was better than "Baby, I'm Yours". The characters were well developed and the plot had a lot of suspense that made it hard to put the book down. The scenes between Beau and Juliet were very steamy and it made you want to finish the book to see if they were going to stay together. A must-read!
Rating: Summary: Definitely not her best... Review: I know that this author's romantic thrillers are weak in the thriller department, but this book was even worse than normal. The mystery plot was laughable. I also didn't find the hero, Beau, very appealing. He was always sloppy and unshaven and seemed like a slob. What Juliet would see in him was beyond me. And, once again, the author gave Beau a ridiculously exaggerated accent (at least he didn't say "cher" all the time!)Actually, all the main characters were two-dimensional caricatures. No depth to them at all. If you don't read this one, you aren't missing a thing.

Rating: Summary: Not As Good As BIY Review: I loved "Baby, I'm Yours," so I couldn't wait to read Be My Baby. Well, it's pretty good, but neither of the leading characters were very appealing. Beau, in particular, was just too much of a Neandrethal for my taste. I did enjoy some of the minor characters, but no one was as developed as in BIY. The pace was fast, but at the expense of quality. I will continue to read this author, but this book is not a keeper.
Rating: Summary: GREAT! HOT! STEAMY! A KEEPER FOR SURE! Review: I read "Baby I'm yours" and decided then that I loved Susan Anderson's writing and that she would join my small group of authors that I consider good enough to keep in my library. There are some writers out there that have a natural sense of what readers want and they make reading FUN. Ms. Anderson is one of those writers."Be my baby" kept me entertained from the first page to the last.I hope that she keeps up the good work because she is one author that I will continue to buy her books. If you happen to read this Ms. Anderson please don't change a thing.
Rating: Summary: HOT HOT HOT!!! Review: I read this one first but I guess this was her second write. I really enjoyed the plot, the conflict between the characters, and the romance was hot! If you want a good love story read Lindsey. If you want a modern story with a steamy romance, read Brown. But if you want hot, no-holds-barred, REALISM between two consenting adults who know what they want and don't care to demand it, read Andersen. I don't know if these (Be My Baby and Baby, I'm Yours) are her only work but I will be looking for more. I have only found three writers (Sandra Brown, Linda Howard, and Susan Andersen) who put out books that are real enough to happen to anyone. (And what's wrong with a macho man losing control enough to utter the F-word in the throws of passion?) That's romance.
