Rating: Summary: My Spy - Totally unbelievable Review: I had a very hard time with the plot in this book. A Navy Seal on a secret mission just happens to jump on the roof of a run away bus to save the children in it. He cannot get inside to drive the bus so he uses a hockey stick to press on the brake pedal and stop the bus. He is thrown from the bus and suffers severe trauma to his head causing memory loss. When he sees the runaway bus, how did he manage to jump on top of it? Where did he get the hockey stick from while he is hanging off the side of the bus? Gee, lots of people carry one of those around. The romance in the book was fun, playful and steamy, but was over powered by the totally unrealistic plot. The love story was interesting, but why did Sam walk away from Annie in the first place if he cared so much about her. He walked away from there brief affair without looking back or telling here he would return. When she sees him again, she falls right back in love with him. This is the first Christina Skye book I have read. I hope the others are better. The 1 star is for the romance. Too bad I couldn't buy into the rest of the story.
Rating: Summary: an entertaining read that could've been better Review: I have been a fan of Ms. Skye since I picked up her "The Black Rose" soon after it came out. I have followed her books ever since, taking a break during the flood of Draycott Abbey books. I enjoy her historicals more, but thought several in this series of contemporaries were well written. My Spy is another of the Navy SEAL partnered with a civilian stories, and although the premise is a bit far fetched we all know that with most romance novels one has to be very good at accepting the unacceptable. There isn't anything in the plot that will stretch your belief to the snapping point, but a few scenes get very close to that edge. It annoyed me that Annie took so long to get over herself at the end and throw caution to the wind in favor of love. She is resistant to the point of detracting from the story. There were also several gaping holes in the story that pricked at me. Even for a superbly fit man like Sam, his recovery is nothing short of miraculous. I think it would have played better for the timeline to be stretched a bit more, rather than have everything happen within 3 weeks. You almost have to throw out Ms. Skye's timeline and imagine your own for the story to make sense. I think Ms. Skye can do much better than this. From another author, this might be a 4 star book, but with her past library to compare against, "My Spy" only rates a 3. But the story is good enough to provide an afternoon's diversion.

Rating: Summary: Not a believable premise Review: I have to confess that after about 100 pages I just skimmed this book to the end. There are so many holes in this story that the romance is totally unsatisfying and unbelievable. I think that even I know more about the military and government than Ms. Skye. Don't waste your time or money on this one.
Rating: Summary: A woman who can have it all -Her Way Review: I thouroughly enjoyed reading this book about a woman running a spa/resort that I would LOVE to visit, along with falling madley in love with a Navy Seal. This book is not like all the other memory loss sappy love stories that are all over the book shelves. It has great twist, turns and really draws you in to the plot and characters. Can't wait for the story about her living on the edge writer sister, Taylor.
Rating: Summary: Red Lace underwear..... Review: My Spy the latest from a favorite of mine, makes you think about red lace underwear in a whole new light. This latest "Navy SeaL" love story, takes a injured Navy Hero, Sam MCKade with no memory and puts him back with Annie O'Toole, a spa owner who he shared a weekend of passion with. Annie is an overworked and stressed business woman. She also has a hurting heart who must take care of a man who does not remember her. There love story is sweet and funny. It is a delight to have Izzy back, one of Ms. Skye's favorite ongoing characters. The surprise is that I did not see the villian coming. The finally chapter where Sam meets "his kids" is a tearjerker. I still want another Draycott Abbey story out of Ms. Skye. But her last three books, have been fresh, sexy and lots of fun.
Rating: Summary: passion, suspense, and humor--what a great read! Review: Okay, Annie and Sam left me breathless from page one. I read a lot of romance, but this one was exceptional, with just the right mix of adventure, mystery and sizzle. Sam was a perfect hero, and he knew he had something special with Annie. Izzy was wonderful too--when will he get a story?? I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Good read, but left me wanting more... Review: The overall concept was fun & sexy, but I just kept reading, hoping to find that "spark" that all good books leave you with. I just didn't find that spark. There was waaaaay too much attention to the details of the physical therapy aspect, and I found little interest in the fruity concoctions for facials. Since I'm not much of a quitter, I read the entire book (still waiting for that "spark") but it left me wanting ... more.... Maybe I just wasn't the reader CS targeted for such a book.

Rating: Summary: smart and tough women and ..... navy SEALS!! Review: This is truly a great combination. I enjoyed both Going Overboard and My Spy so much, I couldn't stop reading! I went to bed at 3am after gulping down both books in one day. OK, so I am a sucker for romance, action, mystery and tough guys. Who isn't? I love that "Izzy" is back. He is such a lovable character! TOTALLY deserves a book of his own. If after Going Overboard and My Spy you find yourself craving for more NAVY seals romance, I recommend Suzanne Brockmann's heroes. Hot, hot, hot!
