Rating: Summary: VERY funny, & sexy! Review: Brian Byrne is the MVP of the world's most popular sport: Sex. He's also from the year 2502! Brian sees no challenge in his life of sex and orgasms, so he travels back in time to 2002. Once there, he meets Ally O'Neil and her great aunt Katy. They've travelled to Ireland because Katy wants to see ghosts and spirits and such "before she dies"(Katy quotes). This Book was wild! I'd never read about what the future might be like. Ally and Brian provide uproariously funny conversations that will have you on your back. The ending is so sweet, I had tears in my eyes. If you want to read something weird about going back in time, here you are. The unicorn thing is BIZARRE. I liked all the secondary characters as well, like Jupe and the Old One(Yes in capital letters). The slight Mystery about the "curse" on the castle is solved near the end, and it turns out so unlike you'd expect. This is one book I recommend highly to you!
Rating: Summary: A racy time travel romance adventure Review: Courtesy of Love RomancesSex... pure unadulterated sex... that was what women thought of when they saw Brian Byrne, and that is what he was famous for. He was from the future, where sex is the hottest spectator sport, and he was the MVP. He was at the peak of his career and no one could match him. So why was he starting to feel worn out, used up, burned out? Brian decides to take a long vacation to a simpler time, traveling back to present day Ireland, where he plans to rebuild his ancient family keep. Ally O'Neil is a recently divorced woman and a best selling author of a series of books on how to be the perfect wife. She is in Ireland on a research trip to help her Aunt Katy write a book on the paranormal legends and beings of the country. They travel to an old castle rumored to be haunted, where they run into Brian. Ally is attracted to him, but refuses to have anything more to do with him then absolutely necessary, especially since she is feeling like a fraud. She is famous for her tips to women on how to treat their husbands, so why couldn't she keep her own husband interested? Her hands off approach gets to Brian, making him long to break the "no sex in the off season" clause in his contract. Ally decides to use Brian as an advisor on her next book, about life as a single woman looking for love (and sex). Brian agrees to help her, all the more intrigued by the challenge of a woman who wants nothing to do with him physically. The more time they spend together, the more Ally desires to get closer. So she decides to seduce him... all in the name of research, of course. Brian however, is not the only time traveler. Numerous others followed him back, as they all have a vested interest in his livelihood. There are also several seemingly suspicious accidents, interfering with Ally's plans. Brian and Ally have their work cut out for them if they ever plan to be together. Ms. Bangs has created a delightful romp in this story. It is truly a unique and racy premise. Brian and Ally have enough sparks to ignite a forest fire, from the first moment they meet, when she runs screaming from him, having mistaken him for a legendary "vampire." Ally's aunt is a riot, adding lots of laughs with her views on life. All of Brian's acquaintances from the future add a note of hilarity as well, with all of their conflicting agendas and their reactions to the times. This book has it all, everything a reader could possibly hope for in a romance novel. Lots of conflict, humor, a little mystery, and of course some wild sex abound. There is even a good bit of the paranormal present, what with Katy's search for ghosts, time-travelers aplenty, aliens, and shape shifters. This will appeal to just about everyone. Fans of the likes of Sandra Hill will love this book, for its brand of humor. Ms. Bangs is on a roll, bound to become a star of the genre. This reviewer will deftly be on the look out for more books by this aspiring author.
Rating: Summary: Not as Good as it Should Have Been Review: From the synopsis, this book had great potential. It is definitely an enjoyable read, and a light read, but with such a great premise, it should have been so much more. I felt there was too little chemistry between Brian and Ally, and that his profession--the way it was explained in the begining of the book--was very unerotic and belittling of women in general. Still, if you stick with the book, it gets better (especially after Ally experiences a virtual reality replay of Brian's latest game -- at least you can understand why a woman would play the game.) Try it if you've run out of things to read.

Rating: Summary: Not Worth the Paper It's Printed On Review: I am embarassed to admit that I bought this book. The synopsis on the back cover made it sound interesting. I was expecting a book that was clever and a bit dirty. What I found was amazingly poor writing and a premis that became silly. White stags enable time travel? The Testosterone Titans? Add to this silliness the choppy disjointed prose and you'll see why it earns only one star.
Rating: Summary: Cute concept but not alot of follow through Review: I eagerly awaited this book. I enjoyed The Pleasure Master and thought this one would probably be even better. I was disappointed. Brian is the MVP of the Sex Super Bowl in 2502 but he's burned out. His life doesn't seem to have any meaning. He has no real close friends, and everyone just wants to be close to him because of his fame and money. He takes a vacation to a simpler time, 2002 Ireland. Ally is in Ireland on vacation with her ditzy great-aunt, one of the few characters in this book I liked. She is recovering from a divorce (not the first time Ms. Bangs has written such a woman) and has been asked to write a book about the perfect single sex life by her editor and agent. This is not a subject she knows anything about. This really has the makings of a wonderful story. But Brian and Ally have virtually no chemistry. They have no tension. Ally is reeling over the fact her ex left her for a more exciting woman (thought it has been months) and yet she seems to have no trouble grasping the concept of Brian being from the future. There's also a cast of characters from the future who follow Brian to protect their interests like his agent, his sex team's owner, his former team's owner, his trainer. By the time you add in Ally's ex, his girlfriend (in 2 disguises), some historical characters, her agent... there's just too many people in this book. And I think that's the problem, there are so many characters and they all have different agendas. We don't get to really know any of them, there is so much action that it is confusing at times and between all of that, the romance suffers. There simply isn't enough time for it. The ending seemed too convenient. So while I enjoyed the idea, the book itself did not live up to the expectation.
Rating: Summary: Not that Great!!! Review: I had a hard time reading this book. I did not like the characters, they sounded great on the back of the book, but, I sure thought they fizzled in real life. It sounds kind of racy, but they really don't have sex 'til later in the book, and I just can not get excited about to what my way of thinking of is a gigalo or male prostitute. In the future they have the sex super bowl where teams of guys bring women to orgasm, pretty much whoever does the most the fastest wins. Just did not appeal to me. I did not find it amusing, but it did pass the time, not pleasurably, but I did not have anything else to read. I would pass on this book altogether, unless you are really curious, but don't buy new.

Rating: Summary: Game over Review: I hated this book. It had all of the sizzle of a wet noodle. First of all, I loathe the books which stereotype Ireland and include it just as a place which appears to be romantic, with castles and so on. The villain of the piece is so lame as to be totally unbelievable, and Brian has all the sensuality of a galloping stallion. The friends he brings along only produce low comedy and water down the whole book. The heroine had as much backbone as a jellyfish. The quirky aunt and the supernatural elements have been done to death by this stage. The only thing which wasn't included in this kitchen sink of a book which also had futurist and alien elements was a bunch of cheeky red-haired kids with freckles. Thank God. The only love scenes in the book are exceptionally dull, and this from a man who can supposedly bring four women to satisfaction a once in less than two minutes. This is not quite as bad as the Pleasure Master by the same author, but it is still pretty dull.
Rating: Summary: enjoyable light read Review: I liked this book. It was a fast, funny, passionate read. The characters were nicely developed and the secondary characters made the book. I especially liked the Old One, as a cat. This is a timetravel book with a twist. The hero, Brian, comes back to the year 2002 from the future year of 2502 for a vacation. He decides to go to Ireland and see if he can fix the old family castle. When he arrives he finds two American women there also on vacation. Ally and her great aunt Katy. Katy is quite the character. She's an old woman who has never gotten old. She loves life and is trying to get her grand-niece to lighten up. when they meet Brian Ally is knocked for a loop. Brian is drop dead gorgeous and all man. Ally has had a rough divorce and is tired of "pleasing" men where Brian aches to have someone "please" him. You see in his time he is a professional athlete. But not the kind we think of now, you see our sports have replaced with the sport of SEX! Yes Sex! He plays for a team called the Sex Monarchs and was just named MVP(yes there is a joke about that)of the Sex Super Bowl. all his life he has pleased women with his technique but desires nothing more that to be the one pleased by his woman. The sexual inuendos in this book are very funny and made it very enjoyable to read. There is a minor mystery in the story that suprised me. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one day. You can't help but like it.
