Rating: Summary: A Job Well Done!! Review: I've been waiting for this one!! Got it this weekend and was not disappointed. I love how she's tying all of her stories together. I was so pleased with how she included characters from her other books that I'm rereading them. HURRY WITH THE NEXT ONE!
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Book Ever!! Review: If I could be a character in any of Lynn Kurland's books, Jessica is who I want most to be! She has flaws -- don't we all -- but amazing strength too. Richard fell in love hard, but Jessica was worth it. The descriptions of people and the emotions expressed seem real, not contrived in any way. My copy is dog-eared from reading over and over.
Rating: Summary: A fun book ! Review: If you know something of Lynn Kurland's work, you know that many of her heroines (and a couple of heros !) find themselves in amazing, unbelievable time travel situations. This book is no different ! It's a fun book to read and her characters make an unbelievable situation quite believable. The only reason I'm not giving it four stars is that I found the book had a very slow beginning in terms of the development of the characters of Richard & Jessica. Once I got over that initial 'bump in the road' and kept reading, I was very pleased I did. It is a great book to read on a rainy day !
Rating: Summary: Very lightweight Review: If you're hoping for Diana Gabaldon-like quality, you'll be sorely disappointed. An interesting premise, but very formulaic and uncomplicated.
Rating: Summary: lighthearted- 100% flimsy on the time travel aspect Review: IF your tired of annoying romances with dead plot lines and card board characters, the Lynn Kurland and THE MORE I SEE YOU is the book for you. When this book comes to an end, you'll wish that Richard De Galtres was yours. He is a grumbly, rough on the edges, sexy Knight. He and Jessica will make you laugh, cry, and they'll bring a smile to your face. Give it a chance. This book was great. also try other Kurland books, i swear you'll never want to read anything but Ms Kurlands books.
Rating: Summary: A Delightful Time-Travel Medieval! Review: In the tradition of Deveraux's Knight In Shining Armour, Lynn Kurland's THE MORE I SEE YOU is a wonderful tale about a modern woman and a medieval warrior who fall in love, but seem fated to live apart due to time and circumstance. As usual, I got totally swept up into this story -- Kurland knows how to pull the heartstrings! I do wish her books were more sensual, but she's getting better and the emotional sensuality is always there. Filled with humor, emotion, and exciting twists and turns, this is a great book and one I highly recommend!
Rating: Summary: Emotionally Charged Time Travel! Review: Jessica Blakely accepts a blind date for a trip to England, only to find that the 'date' is a total jerk and she does her best to avoid him. Escaping into a deserted garden she thinks about her life so far and wishes on a star for a knight in shining armour and a man who could love her at least as much as he loves himself. Don't we all wish for that at times, but in a Lynn Kurland novel, the magical does happen, a fog rolls in, and when it lifts she is in the midst of a hunt of some sort and an armored knight is snatching her up and out of the way of snarling dogs and galloping horses. Richard of Burwyck-on-the-Sea isn't one to be chivalrous, but leaving a lovely woman to the drunken and brutal ministrations of his brother Hugh would insult what little chivalrous sensibilities he has. He takes her home, wondering along the way why he bothers, as she tries, not once, but twice to steal his horse. Jessica has not realized where she really is - like 700 years in the past - and keeps thinking to get back to the party she had left. In finally sinks in and Jessica realizes that this isn't some well-rehearsed play with great actors, but that she really is in medieval England and this obnoxious, unsmiling knight, is for real and more than that, she is rather taken with him. As the time progresses and Jessica saves his life, Richard discovers that this very stubborn woman has captured his heart. Richard was terribly abused as a child, so it has taken him some time to trust her with his heart, and now believing her explanations of where she came from, he worries over will she stay or spirit it away. I loved this story, and was so happy to be reintroduced to some of the characters from the other books in the de Piaget family series. In spite of the humor that she slips in, there is always some underlying hint of sadness that is usually gut-wrenching and tear jerking that give her stories such emotion. So often, I get so involved in to her stories that I really have to give myself a shake and remember - it's only fiction - fabulous- but fiction nonetheless. This is another book to sit alongside the other Kurland's on my keeper shelf.

Rating: Summary: Totally awesome... Review: Okay, now I'm just hooked on this authoress. I might even start reading her regular historical novels, once I get past the time travel ones. I've read three of her books and am so incredibly hooked. I especially love the fact that there aren't torrid love scenes. I may be an adult, but those still make me blush and afraid of being caught by a parent. Or in this case, my husband. Now I can read one or two romances in front of him without apologizing and feeling guilty. I think someone wrote that Richard and Jessica go back and forth too often in their disputes and the "I love him, I love him not" situation. It works. When I sit to read a romance, I don't want people to be boring and say "I love you" on the first page. This puts tons of strife and inner conflict into the story. Richard's brother Hugh was the only problem in the story. I think there should have been some more of him and developing him. The situation with Kendrick was never fully delved into either. That just kind of ended. Those are my only gripes. Oh yeah, and I wish she would stop stealing my story ideas before I ever had them. I'm feeling like my book is going to look like a cheap rip off of hers now. :-)
