Summary: A Real Thriller!
Review: I read this book in 3 days. I couldn't wait to find out who the killer was. I've read plenty of mysteries and thrillers and this one is up there with the best of them. It had a good storyline and the author kept it interesting. I like the little twist at the end, I thought Russell was the killer and I thought his Mother was picking up coins, so it was a surprise for me.

Review: The story had more focus on the romance between the characters than the actual mystery/thriller story which was a bit disappointing. I thought the idea of the book was good and for the most part there were no huge holes in the story, questions were resolved and the ending was not disappointing and nor did I guess it but it wasnt one of the best books I have ever read. It was too brief and you barely had a chance to really get into the characters and why they were in love so quickly, (which one could ignore if that part of the novel didnt dominate so much of the story and didnt quite make sense.) I love mystery novels and this one was relatively good idea-wise but if it had been longer and the story more developed, I would have enjoyed it more. Still this was my first Kay Hopper novel and am interested in reading another Shadow novel to see if I would enjoy it more.

Review: Kay Hooper delivers a high speed, intellectual thriller with a knack for holding onto her readers. The plot is centered around a strange young woman who has rare powers of precognition. Cassie has once tried to flee her destiny, only to have it find her 3 thousand miles away. With brief flashes of a local killer's mind and a cryptic note left to her from her dead aunt that was said to be a witch, she tries to unravel this mystery before it unravels her mind and steals her life.

Review: I am obviously in the minority here but I found this book predictable. The characters were wooden - no surprises. The main character seems to answer in the same monotone no matter what the situation or addressee. None of the characters, including the serial killer, were compelling. Events and relationships seem thrown in, just to have them there. I love this genre and was looking for a substitute because my favorite author's last two offerings were a departure from her usual page-turner's (and you know who you are Patricia Cornwell) Sorry to the fans! I am glad so many people enjoy these.

Review: When I first read the back of this book, I scoffed at the idea that an author would be able to successfully make a plot like this work. A psychic who runs across country to forget her past and finds herself in the midst of the same thing she was trying to escape? How appropriate. An attraction to the extremely handsome district attorney who is helping to solve the case. Where have I heard this before? It may be formulaic at best and trite at worst, but I could not put this book down. The pace was very fast, the suspense non-stop and the villian not an easy one to unmask. Kay Hooper seems to have found a very nice niche when it comes to the genre of romantic suspense novels and it seems to be one that fits her very well indeed.

Review: The story and characters grabbed my attention immediately and held on 'til the end -- I literally couldn't put the book down. Just when I thought the story was over, Kay Hooper added a little twist at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I've added Kay Hooper to my favorite author list!

Summary: Great Begining, Middle, Disappointing End
Review: I loved most of the book but it dissappointed me at the end. The characters were well developed and the plot left you guessing (In a good way). Then came the twist. It really dissapointed me and I found it to be very unrealistic compared to the rest of the book.I was also annoyed by Ben's charater. He seemed like a whimp and way to overprotective of Cassie. I thought that to be very unrealistic as well. Overall, i enjoyed the book until the dissapointing twist.

Review: I loved Stealing shadows. It was amazing. The plot was written with suspence and excitement, with a suprising ending. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy books;Out of the Shodows and Hiding in the Shadows. Ms.Hooper did a woderful job!

Review: This book is amazing. It kept me in total suspense while I was reading it. There were unexpected twists and turns in the book and certain sections were downright scary. Note to romance readers, there isn't much romance in this book, it centres more on Cassies' unique ability and finding who the killer is. But she does introduce the characters in a wonderful way and the romance between Cassie and Judge Ben was sort of really sweet- the kind of love that grows on you. A great book to read but be warned, I started reading the book after dinner and did not go to bed till the early hours of the morning!! Enjoy!

Review: It was very hard to put down. I can't wait to read the next in this three book series. The characters were people you get absorbed in. The story line was great and the pace was fast. The writing is amazing, and the concept is awesome. I highly recommend.
