Rating: Summary: extremly funny, i coudn't stop laughing!!! Review: this book is one of the most comedy filled, passionatly romantic books i have ever read. it was so cool in the end where everyone had this perfect solution for their problems. and the kids are soooo funny, and bannor, oh just don't get me started. this is the first book and will certanly not be the last!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Fabulous! I loved it!!! Review: I thoght this was a great, stupendous book! The characters, (Oh my God!) actually developed! There was a plot and the characters showed change, and developed into well-ronded characters! I thought, at first, that Willow would be some flat, meek, cowardly character like Heather in THE FLAME AND THE FLOWER by Katheleen Woodiwis, but no, she had definite feelings and wants and expressed them. Bannor developed, too. I thought he was going to be the meek stud, but he had a soft heart for his children, which we found out. The constant references to how he would like torture more than confronting his children and his new wife were hilarious! Even the town whore developed! The children developed (thank God) and were adorable in their ferocity. My only complaint, although very petty, is that men didn't wear cod-pieces in the fourteenth century- the seventeenth centry. Anyway, this is a must-read, love-it book. The romance was good and sweet. Good reading.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down! Review: I have never read a book by Teresa Medeiros that I didn't like and "Charming the Prince" is certainly no exception. It was laugh out loud funny without lacking any of the qualities of an exceptional romance novel. I've recommended this book to friends and they loved it as well. I look forward to Teresa Medeiros' next book.
Rating: Summary: One of the funniest books ever! Review: Just reading the synops on the back cover is enough to get you hooked. I bought this book back in april, and have reread it twice. You will laugh, cry over the antics of Lord Bannor and Lady Willow. Just imagine 12 children. One of the funniest scenes was Willows "a hunting". A must read for all. Thanks T.M.
Rating: Summary: I'm still laughing! Review: I read fantsy books not romance novels. But I was in a K-Mart shopping for a book and all they had that was even close was this one. And I was never more entertained! I didn't put it down till I reached the end and then took it directly to another friend and they did the same. I'm reformed. I will read all her other books, and if they are even half as good they will be great. Thanks my lady for putting some love with your laughter and showing me not all fantasy has to be blooded to be great! And please write more of Bannor and Willow and their brood.
Rating: Summary: Not a 5 star book Review: Maybe I am just not into Romance novels. What ever it is I can honestly say I don't think the book deserves raving reviews. At least I wouldn't give it 5 stars. It's not a bad book, it had it's moments. But overall, it's not a book that I would strongly urge someone to read. I gave it 2 stars because that's what I think it deserved.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, wonderful, wuuuunderful. Review: What a great book. Teresa Medeiros never disappoints, and with CHARMING THE PRINCE, she's outdone herself. The characters are vivid and compelling, the writing is lush and evocative, the events and misadventures are just too much fun. Gee, I think I'll just have to go back and read it again. And again. And again...
Rating: Summary: "Laugh Out Loud Funny" Review: I am an avid Teresa fan. Most romance fiction bores me to tears, but she truly develops her characters much like a suspense novelist would. This is a good book, although not her best. You'll laugh and cry at once as you come to know Willow and the children. Willow's revelation in seeing herself, her beauty, through Bannor's eyes is truly remarkable. It simply tears at your heartstrings. Definitely a good read. P.S. Teresa, if your reading this...maybe a novel focussing on Bea and Desmond?
Rating: Summary: THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE! Review: This was my first Medeiros book, but it won't be my last. It was very different from the type of historical romances I normally read. I found it very fun and entertaining. The kids added a whole new dimension to historical romance.
Rating: Summary: A steady decline in quality... Review: I eagerly read all of Ms. Medeiros' earlier books (Once an Angel, Heather and Velvet...) on the recommendation of the "lyrical quality" of her writing and strong characterizations. However, since "Fairest of Them All" her tone has abruptly shifted from lyrical to tongue-in-cheek/cutesy amusing. Instead of a compelling story to hide away with on a stolen afternoon I get a lite-weight summer afternoon quickie to skim over while keeping an eye on the kids playing outside...definitely disappointing.
