Rating: Summary: Where's the Full Book on Poor Nicki? Review: I read all of her novels and I love the historical ones. I came across this short story and could have sworn that it a regular full size novel. After a year of searching and trying to remember the name of the book i just now discover that it was only a short story. I must say I am most disappointed. He deserves no less than that after all he has done. I hope to see something in the future.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful? Yes! Review: I really like Judith McNaught's,Jude Deveraux's and Jill Barnett's stories. But for Arnette Lamb, you should think twice
Rating: Summary: A collection of romances that touch the heart. Review: I thought that this book showcases some of the most talented romance writers. I loved all the stories that were in it, and I always like to read them over. I already heard of Jude Deveraux and also Judith McNaught, and their stories were excellent as usual. I was introduced to both Kimberly Cates, and also Arnette Lamb, and I added both of those names to my list of romance authors to read. This book was one of the best collection of romance writers. A true thumbs-up.
Rating: Summary: UTTERLY HEARTBROKEN.NICKI DESERVES MORE TO HIS STORY. Review: I thought the whole collection was touching..Though the wait was agonizing.. I enjoyed Nicki's tale the most. And was UNWILLING to accept that my time with NICKI was soo short...I hope to see more of him in the future..??
Rating: Summary: IS THIS IT? Review: I was really disappointed in this story. Not only did Nicholas deserve a full novel, but he deseved to have a better heroine! Of course, there can only be one Whitney but couldn't he have someone who had the spice and life of Whitney? I'd much rather preffered it if Judith McNaught never wrote this story so that we can imagine a better story for Nicki in our minds! Nicholas DuVille is one of Judith McNaught's greatest characters- I can't understand how she can write such a disappointing story for him!
Rating: Summary: A Good Read! Review: Jill Barnett's angelic tale was the best, Deveraux comes in a close second. McNaught was her usual self...there were parts where I laughed out loud, but overall there was too much suffering and little show of affection.
Rating: Summary: Not the end of the world Review: Like the others here, I bought this book in order to find out what will happen to Nikki, and like them I agree that both he and Julianna deserve a full novel (and a little spice would not be amiss). This is a well written outline. I hope someday to see it completed.
Rating: Summary: We were robbed! Review: Nicholas DuVille deserved a longer story. After reading about him in Whitney My Love and Until You, I have been eagerly awaiting his story. It is so short and ends so suddenly that I am left wanting so much more. It is almost as if McNaught wanted to squeeze a certain amount of information within fifty pages or so. So they meet, so they marry, and then he hates her. All of a sudden, he yearns for her...they yearn for each other! And then, a year later or so, she has twins. The end. No character development, no insight in their minds. All we get is a marriage, conflict, and then a resolution. Whoop dee doo. Don't get me wrong. I love short stories better than full length novels. I loved Jude Deveraux's Invitation, and I loved Judith McNaught's Double Exposure. I just feel there could have been a better story here, because Nicholas was so witty and urbane. Oh well, maybe next time.
Rating: Summary: Is this all Nicki gets??? Review: Nicholas DuVille is my favorite Judith McNaught character. While this story is very good - Juliana Skeffington is refreshing and fun with a witty sense of humor- Nicki deserved to have an entire novel devoted to him. After all, after a two book setup (Whitney My Love and Until You ), I was expecting at least equal consideration, if not more, since Nicki's is the most intersting character. Still a charming book. I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Far too short!!!! Review: Nicki deserved a much longer story than this, I was most disappointed with this short story.
