Rating: Summary: Riveting!! Review: Nora Roberts has scored another winner. I am addicted to her books. The characters and places are so realistic I feel as if I know these people. Montana Sky was so riveting at times that I couldn't put it down, although, I find almost all of her books affect me this way. Tess was so driven that I wanted to grab her and shake her and tell her to get a life. Lily was a little wishy-washy and Willa was great. I'm in the process of reading her books from past years, trying to absorb them all. I can't say enough good stuff about this author.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed & grossed out... Review: I should have tossed this one out as soon as I hit the first inklings of mayhem & madness. It was a waste of my time & darkened my usually sweet dreams! I have read a number of Ms. Roberts' novels & didn't know she was dabbling in thrillers (quite effectively, unfortunately!). Mixing romance with murder, decapitated animals, & rape is not my idea of a relaxing evening! If you want a sweet romance, don't read this one!
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable romance that goes beyond the typical chase Review: I have read other Robert's books and this one had a great story line, good romance and kept me interested. The one thing that was a little disturbing was the graphic detail of the villain's mutilation escapades. This particular story, however, probably could not have been written without it. It lends credibility to the villain's potential threaten other characters in the story. If you are at all squeamish about blood and guts, I would avoid this one. If you are a tried and true Robert's reader, I would not miss it.
Rating: Summary: Gore and romance don't go together Review: I didn't like this book at all. Although the sexy parts were fun and the descriptions of Montana ranch life were interesting, the gory scenes of animal and human mutilation and murder were jarringly out of place. How can you enjoy the lighthearted, romantic parts of a book when you know that some poor creature (with two legs or four) is likely to be butchered on the next page?
Rating: Summary: Totally Terrific! Review: I absolutely loved this story. Even though I have read all of her work, I will always remember Montana Sky as one of my very favorites. The characters were memorable and the romance stimulating. I thoroughly enjoyed thjis book.
Rating: Summary: Great Mystery- Romance Review: Montana Sky was the best mystery-romance book I have read. It kept me reading the whole time. You will never get bored with this book. The characters come to life and they are explained to the fullest. You can actually visualize the characters in your mind. The personalities shine through and grab you and make you feel like you really know them and you are seeing what is going on in the book. It is like you are standing right there.
Rating: Summary: 3 romances in one whole book plus a whallop of mystery! Review: Nora Roberts has never dissapointed me...I've read almost most of her books and she always manages to captivate me. This book is one of my favorites..Montana Sky is a truly great book. The "Women of Mercy" are wonderful characters. Tess with her bold, independent, devil-may-care attitude would have you envying her for her strength and attitude. Willa with her capable strength and her iron will..the way she shoulder every day problems is remarkable. Lily with her quiet strength which helped her survive every gust of bad luck that faith delt her. Ahh..and ofcourse their men..Ben with his balant sexuality could make your toes curl and Neathedral ways is perfect for Willa's stubborn ways. Nate with his smooth..charming cowboy ways is perfect for Tess' restlesness. Adam with his calming, tenderness, and patience is perfect for Lily's battered soul. The mystery is great..it just keeps you guessing..I do adore mystery but my heart belongs to romance...and mix is a great thing!
Rating: Summary: Captivating Story! Review: What a great storyline. Just couldn't put the book down once I started. "Montana Sky" is rich with humor, passion, suspence, excitement, and most important the story very believable. I vote for the author to write a sequel.
Rating: Summary: MS: Book #100... But Nora can make 1000 and much more! Review: Read Nora Roberts is always a pleasure. And you find exactly this in this book. MONTANA SKY is a book of feelings, and you find all of them mixed in this story. The plot runs around three sisters who are the heirs of a just-dead man - their father. But each of these sisters didn't know until now the existence of each other, and to own the ranch their father leave to them, they'll have to spend a whole year together. But they are three completely different women - and three adorable beings in their own way. The problems begin when suddenly animals of the ranch start to be stabbed and turned into pieces. Then, the ex-husband of one of them says that he'll return to kill her wherever she is, and then a man is murdered... And all this happens in beautiful scenarios... The rest you'll have to read to find out. What I discovered by reading Nora's books is that she's a master and gifted storyteller. I haven't read a single book by Nora that I didn't like. She's so wonderful as Joy Fielding or Sidney Sheldon. Nora's superb! If you are already a fan, buy it now! If you haven't read a single book by Nora, well, I have to say, you just don't know what you're missing. Her books are better than many, many movies. Find out why.
Rating: Summary: Disturbing Review: I have always enjoyed Nora Roberts's ability to write a romance novel that has more to it than physical attraction and exaggerated personal conflict. However, this book is one I wish I had not read. The gory details of the murders were nauseating and just plain sick. Our society has a real problem when this kind of perverse sickness can be hailed as entertainment, regardless of what other ingredients are thrown in.
