Summary: Mediocre.....
Review: These stories have appeared elsewhere but I had never seen them before so I was happy to read them. Linda should stick to full length novels as opposed to short stories. She is best at developing characters in novels rather than stories.

These were ok...not great. The best story was the one about the couple who is repeatedly reincarnated and finally end up together. Very poignant and touching. I have re-read it about 5 times so far.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not quite up to Ms. Howard's usually quality
Review: These three short stories are great little stories. However, they aren't of the supreme quality that I have come to expect from Ms. Howard. I would still recommend them because they are better than half the romances out there, but they seem disappointing when compared with "Shades of Twilight" and "Mr. Perfect."

Summary: My introduction to "romantic suspense"
Review: This book got me started reading Linda Howard's other books as well as other great "romantic suspense" authors. The three stories in "Strangers in the Night" are all excellent, although "Lake of Dreams" is my personal favorite--the ending is perfect. In "White Out" the suspense is almost too much to bear . . .

Summary: A set of hidden treasuers from Linda Howard
Review: This is a fantastic set of short stories from various anthologies previously printed. What connects 'White Out' [widow takes in stranded driver in snow storm only to have all hell break loose], 'Lake of Dreams' [an eerie little tale outside of Howards' normal scenarios but a wonderful treat which I won't explain for fear of giving it away]and 'Blue Moon' [new Sheriff and town healer/eccentric meet up for the first time during a rare blue moon] is they are all HOT and are some of her best work. I continue to enjoy each and every one...if only 'Overload' was here it would be perfect!

Summary: Strangers in the Night by Linda Howard
Review: This was an excellent book!! I couldn't put it down once I started reading. The three stories were intriguing, sensual and full of love. Linda Howard is one of the premiere writers. I have loved her since reading Duncan's Bride and will keep on reading her books. Enjoy Stransgers in the Night. I sure did!!

Summary: 3 Stories to Warm your Heart
Review: Three stories that will make you sigh, smile and even sniffle. 'Lake of Dreams' is about two lovers sperated by time and space too many times and must make things right this last time Fate has given them. Can these two ill-fated soulmates make it right this time? Or will distrust built up throughout the centuries cloud everything again... I gave this one 4.5 stars.(characters were well plotted and developed and I was pulled right into their struggle with Fate and found myself nearly crying)

'Blue Moon' is a tale about a strange woman living alone in the bayous and the new big city sheriff trying to solve a murder mystery and how she is connected to it. Is she the next victim? Or suspect... I gave this one 4 stars(too short to get involved in the characters lives)
'White Out' is about an Idaho blizzard that strands a young widow at her resort with no help when a stranger shows up at her door with blood stains on his clothes. Is he the escaped convict the cops are looking for? Or help in disguise... I gave this one 4 stars.(The characters could not be developed enough to make this one fascinating, yet it was a typical Howard story where she made it very compelling and different)

All in all, they lacked in-depth character development unlike her other novels, yet they kept intact the usual flair she has with words and were page-turners. Worth the read.
