Summary: The best romance I've ever read
Review: Sweet, satisfying, with complex characters and a well-constructed plot, this is my favorite modern romance novel. Both hero and heroine undergo vital transformations as their relationship deepens, and in the process they affect those around them. An excellent story of redemption and healing.

Summary: A Wonderful Story!
Review: A story of promise, of second chances, and new beginnings. A stranger wanders into town with a past, that soon the entire town knows. His spirit broken, his confidence lacking, he tries to make a new start. A woman with insecurities of her own trying to raise her children and keep her farm after the death of her husband. They come together in this beautiful story of hope to find a life that they never would expect, to find love that would be tested through the greatest of trials.

Summary: First meeting with LaVyrle Spencer
Review: This book about Will and Elly was my first meeting with LaVyrle Spencer. And it has just made me want to read all her books. So buy the book and read it and expect to keep it because you will want to read it again.

Summary: A heart-warming story
Review: This story doesn't follow the template of a typical romance, where the book ends when the couple admits their mutual love and gets married. Elly and Will reach that point about halfway through the book. But as in real life, they haven't stopped growing when they tie the knot and so they both keep learning -by themselves and together- through the war and a criminal investigation. In the end the reader is thoroughly convinced they belong together and no force in the world can break their love and trust in each other.

This story is a shining example of LaVyrle Spencer's talent to describe simple and warm people, quaint settings and uncomplicated plotlines in a slow pace and with tender images. If you want to be taken to a picturesque time and place, get to know and love 'real' people and strengthen your belief in the healing power of love and friendship in the process, this book is an excellent choice.

Summary: Good Quick Read
Review: This is a romance novel, but it is at the top of the pile of a list of books written by an author who is the best in the business. Morning Glory is no great literary achievment-but its characters are deep, and no cookie cutter representations of other romance novel characters. The characters had real flaws (that real people have) low paying jobs, and real problems-like war. They fall in love over a number of years, not days. All these things make this book better than most romance novels. It is the first one I ever read, and even now, hundreds of romance novels later, still my favorite.

Summary: Descriptively Beautiful!
Review: When the author wrote this book, she left nothing to the imagination. She drew the most beautiful pictures with her words putting you right into the middle of the story. She described the smells, the colors, the body language, the surroundings, and the feelings from both Will Parker and Eleanor Dinsmore. You knew just how they were both feeling and understood why they felt like they did. You understood what made Will tick and also Elly. She made you want Will to be loved by Elly and Elly to be loved by Will. This is not a Cinderella Story. This is a down to earth story about what could really happen to everyday people. This is a story of true life struggles just to be accepted and to be grateful for life's little treasures. You'll love this story. It's a heart warmer!

Summary: honest and sweet
Review: I have read this book several times, and it will always remain simple and sweet. If you like a love story that has a pure sentiment to it, you would enjoy this book. The appreciation for simple pleasures in life, that these characters showed, was in itself an enlightening way of looking at life. I loved this story for so many reasons. I loved Will and Elly and the family they became. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. If you don't buy this book, please check it out of your local Library.

Summary: My all-time favorite book!
Review: Morning Glory is a book I read, loved, but put off reading for the second time. I was afraid some of the magic would go out of a re-read. I was wrong. This is a book I will never grow tired of. Elly and Will are so good for each other. Each made the other shine. Truly a book to treasure for a lifetime.

Summary: You have to read this book!
Review: Morning Glory is without a doubt the best romance I have ever read. I have read it about 2 times a year for the past few years, and each time I find something else to love about it! I can only dream about having a love like the one that Will and Elly share. This book is moving and beautiful, you'll laugh and cry within the same few minutes. So, read it!

Summary: The best of the best
Review: Morning Glory was the first book by Lavyrle Spencer that I had read. I have since read all her others but it is still my favorite. My favorite part is where Will and the little boy are washing up at the well and the little boy "sprays" him. This happened to my husband with his son and I found it to be just one example of realistic situations. Ms. Spencer will be sorely missed.
