Summary: Good, but i wouldnt rush to get it.
Review: The book was fairly good. The humor in it was very "Fosteresque", which is a good thing in case you haven't read anythign from Lori Foster. However, I found that i enjoyed Treat Her Right much better than Mr. November. Josh is a very likable character, Amanda, on the other hand, isn't. I'm not saying she's a bad character, she isn't, she's rather sweet and i would dare to say that some of you would even indentify with her, to a certain extent, but i found that after viewing Del (Caught in the Act) and Wynn (Treat Her Right), as 2 very independent, sexy, caring and strong women, seeing Amanda was a dissapointment. But she is not as bad as she could have been. The story is nice, but its nothing from the other world. I say it could have been better, but then again I'm a very difficult audience. I recomend it, if you have nothing else to do, or not another book to read.

Summary: Good story, but Foster is in a rut
Review: This book is the last in a series about modern-day heroes: firefighters, cops, paramedics. Firefighter Josh has watched his 2 friends succumb to love, when prissy Amanda enters his life with a mission. The mission is to persuade hunky Josh to pose for a beefcake calendar to benefit the local burn center. Amanda has her own reasons for focussing on this charity, which has affected her life, particularly her love life: guilt over a fire at her home when she was a teenager. I won't give the plot point away except to say that the result is that she feels she is sexually frigid and at age 24 is still a virgin.
While the story on its own merits 4 stars for a category romance, I almost gave it three stars for Foster's seemingly endless reliance on two basic characerizations. The man in Foster's books (e.g. Wild and the Winston brothers trilogy) always seems to be gorgeous and oversexed and "falls in love" with the woman for no reason apparent to us, the readers. The woman is a seemingly-repressed virgin (or "born-again virgin") who nonetheless wears sexy lingerie underneath her less than exciting clothing and is willing to engage in massive amounts of sex the first time out. Moreover, the first-time sex is often not just your garden-variety sex. In the case of this book, Amanda performs oral sex upon Josh's command before her first time at intercourse. Although Josh expresses remorse to himself the next morning on this very topic, I found this scene to be extremely unrealistic for a virgin who had been frigid for 7 years and had no experience in this area. If the scene had occurred later in the relationship (even the next day), it would have been more believable. However, Foster seldom has her couple engage in sex before the reader after the deflowering episode. Unless Foster gets out of her well-worn track, (that is very similar to Diana Palmer), I will get bored with her.

Summary: Mr November
Review: This is a wonderful story of heros that we all forget about unless we need them - Firefighters. They are quiet heros along with their brothers the EMT's and we never actually think about them as human beings, they're just there when we call. In this story we are introduced to Josh Marshall a Lieutenant in the Fire Department and Amanda Barker the person in charge of a Fund Raising Calendar with proceeds going to a burn center. We see Josh as a bachelor that never had to worry about having his private life lively. There have never been a lack of females willing to make him happy and he does like variety. Amanda on the other hand does not want any relationships in her life and is blunt in stating that fact. Now what happens when you tell someone that they can't have something? They immediately want it as Josh does. But as he gets to know Amanda better he starts to realize that there is more under the Fund Raising than helping those in need. He also comes to terms that variety is not always what it is cracked up to be. Finding out what is under all of those layers of Amanda's heart is going to be a lifetime job and Josh is finding that he likes the idea of permanency with Amanda. Now to convince her. Is this Firefighter up to it? You well get to know and love these characters because Ms. Foster shows us through them that we are all human and make mistakes. It is what we learned from them and how we live our lives afterwards that show how well we retained the lesson.

Summary: Burning Love
Review: We first met Josh Marshall in CAUGHT IN THE ACT. He was a cynical womanizer. We saw him again in TREAT HER RIGHT. He still was a woman a night guy, but we began to see a different side to him. Finally, in MR NOVEMBER, he gets his own story and a woman to share the rest of his life with.

Amanda Barker is the Firefighter's Calendar Coordinator and she is trying to get Josh's cooperation. After all, he is one hot and sexy firefighter and having him in the calendar will likely increase sales. Josh at first did not want to get involved, but finds himself intrigued by the aloof Amanda. And the only way to get to know her better is to cooperate. So he agrees, but only if Amanda will agree to have dinner with him. After this dinner, he grows more curious and more attracted to her. He needs to discover what her secrets are and try getting to the real Amanda. Slowly he does, and also falls in love with her. But then he needs to convince her that his feelings are real and that they have a life together. Through some heart wrenching scenes, plus some hot ones (and I am not talking fires here) he overcomes her fears and they get their Happily Ever After.

Lori Foster did a wonderful job with some tough material. First was making Josh a likable character after his being portrayed as a cynical womanizer in the first two books. Plus, she wrote Amanda as a character with not one, but two barriers to overcome. Ms. Foster accomplished this in a way that was believable and made the reader root for both lead characters and give a wonderful ending to the MEN TO THE RESCUE series. If you have not read the two previous books in this series, run out and get them. You won't be sorry.

Summary: Tempting For The Heart
Review: When I read something, and it's good, I become devoted to that work and to the writer who wrote it. So when I picked up my first Lori Foster book, WANTON, I became entirely devoted to reading Lori Foster novels. I picked up TREAT HER RIGHT, again finding myself falling in love with her characters all over again. When I read about Josh in TREAT HER RIGHT I knew I was in for the long haul and Lori didn't let me down. The way she wrote
the love story of Josh and Amanda brought tears to my eyes. Amanda, a girl with a past she believes to be criminal, and Josh, a fireman with a heart of gold. As it turns out, Amanda is the girl of his dreams and no matter what it takes, he has to make her his. Lori brings to life this amazing couple, and shows you that no matter what happens in your life, real love does conquer all. I have read MR NOVEMBER and if like me, you love reading about romance, this is the book to get. So why not go out and pick up this book. You will not be sorry you did. Amanda and Josh's love story is just waiting around the bend to be told. Why not have a listen.

Summary: Great Book and Great Characters!
Review: Wow - Lori Foster has a flair for writing great characters. They seem so real - with real life hang ups. Amanda is a complex woman - that you could imagine in real life.. as well as Jpsh. The dialogue taht Lori gives Josh is so "real life" he really sounds like a 27 year old modern guy. I am now a devoted Lori Foster Fan!
