Summary: Another great Winston man.
Review: I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy/read Wild, Zane Winston's story until I read the exerpt on amazon.com. Once I read it I was hooked by the unusual start. I am so glad I did.

This book had several twist and turns and seemed different than Lori Fosters usual work.

The story of Zane and Tamara is great and full of mystery and erotic excitement. If you loved the other Winston Men you will love this one.

Summary: So-So Title
Review: I'll be honest. I had high expectations of this book. I've read Lori Foster's previous work, so I was glad to hear that a much longer novel would be released. But after reading it, I was disappointed.

Although I won't deny that the chemistry between Zane & Tamara exists, I felt that the interaction lacked development. Zane is known to be quite a ladies' man, but he is then conveyed to be a sensitive man with a very wide protective streak when it comes to his family or even Tamara herself. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just felt that their attraction was dumped right in front of me. Suddenly he feels the need to protect her (this is understandable due to the events surrounding her shop), but to cherish her, to be with her in general? I understood Tamara's reasons for wanting him (who wouldn't), but his for wanting her were never quite clear to me.

I ended up returning the book immediately after finishing it.

Summary: Not really so "Wild", but an OK read
Review: In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of contemporary romances (though I'm in a phase where I've read a couple) - historicals offer much more in the way of plot opportunities and I just prefer them. However, I did very much enjoy "The Winston Brothers", the book of three short stories introducing these four charming, sweet and sexy brothers. The short story format worked well for me in telling these pretty straightforward boy-meets-girl stories. What I don't get is why the author thought that Zane's story merited a full novel. There's not really much plot here and she should have made this a short story to add to the other three.

To start with, I found neither of these characters particularly "wild". No one does anything particularly shocking or outrageous. It's what I'm coming to see as standard Foster fare and if you like one of her stories, chances are you'll like them all (or hate them all as may be the case). I'm currently reading "Never Too Much" and I'm coming to the conclusion that most of Foster's male characters are pretty much all the same guy - romeo with a heart of gold (not to mention washboard abs and a tight [behind]) that just needs to meet the right woman to settle down. And the women (usually "cute" but not gorgeous) - either virgins or women who met the wrong guy the first time around who finally find love and sexual fulfillment with the nice guy hero. Granted, I haven't read all of her books, but from what I have read, this seems to be the case.

I'm hoping that the guy to break the mold could be Joe Winston who is introduced in this book and who seems a bit more promising as a sort of obnoxious, maybe not always so nice guy who might be tamed by a wilder, more experienced woman (Luna?). I'd like to see Foster try for a hero who's a bit darker, unsettling and a heroine who can stand up to him! I guess we'll have to wait and see if Joe get's his own story, but given his introduction here, it seems likely he's next. And I'll hope Ms Foster does him justice!

Anyway, if you like Lori Foster's style and characters and are looking for a light read, this book is probably for you.

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: Lori Foster has done it again! Zane Winston is totally Wild! And Tamara is his perfect match. Zane is just like his brothers Cole, Chase, & Mack. He is dropped dead gorgeous and intelligent with a wonderful sense of humor to boot. The chemistry between Tamara & Zane really keeps you glued to the pages. Tamara is the "gypsy next door" to Zane's computer business. She tells Zane exactly what she wants of him. Zane is both shocked and intrigued. The sparks fly when they are in the same room! Their antics along with those of their families will keep you laughing and smiling through the whole book. When Tamara is in danger, Zane steps up and will do anything he can to keep her safe. A very riveting novel keeping in tradition with the rest of the Winston Brother's stories.

Summary: I am Wild about this book.
Review: Lori Foster is a favorite and she comes through yet again. This book tells of Zane (Winstons brothers). With this heroine, Zane learns not to judge a book by its cover. This book was great with a strong heroine making a hero eat his words about not wanting commitment.

Summary: Fantastic
Review: Lori Foster's last installment of the Winston brothers story, Wild is a definite must read. It is the sexy story of Zane Winston, and his gypsy heroine Tamara. The book is fast paced, steamy, and has a plot that keeps you reading. The characters are well thought out and indescribable. I whole heartedly recommend this book!

Summary: About as wild as watching grass grow
Review: The premise starts out interestingly enough, and we get long torrid descriptions of how Zane can't stand the woman they call Gypsy, and yet he is still hot and bothered by her, but the introduction of her eccentric family and his entire clan of Biblical proportions really doesn't do anything to make this novel wild except wildly dull.

They spend more of their time talking about sex or a supposedly spicy journal she found, than actually getting to know each other, and almost every love scene is interrupted with slapstick action.

The dialogue is mostly of the me Tarzan, you Jane variety until he decides to get all righteous on her family and then she balks at his uncivilised ways. Well, what do you expect from the town's walking male hormone?

The love scenes are about as spicy as yogurt.

Zane is an ok character, but we seldom see what he sees in her apart from her being the damsel in distress. The whole sinister someone is out to get her is ridiculous and predictable, the motives absurd.

The ending is a real let down. I was never convinced that they were totally in love in the TWO DAYS that it takes for them to start doing the hearts and flowers and wild thing thing, le alone two weeks. The ending doesn't convince me either.

Once again, a trite formula romance with the love scene on page 200. Please, give us a break. Aren't there any really passionate and genuinely erotic love stories any more that aren't bogged down by eccentric relatives, farce, cutesy children, or dogs?

Summary: Sizzling -- Very highly recommended
Review: The words "I want you," transform sinfully sexy Zane Winston's life as intense awareness arcs between himself and the mysterious Gypsy woman. Her words send his senses reeling with possibility, echoing the passion of his erotic dreams. Before he met Tamara Tremayne, Zane subtlety controlled his relationships, cautious about how much he reveals or how much he gives. With three words, the Gypsy sends him careening out of control, filling him with desire and leaving him hot and resentful.

Faced with selling her shop and moving, Tamara ventures across the street to visit Zane's computer shop determined to act on the advice of the journal she is reading. Tamara appears to be Gypsy with long black hair, black eyes, flowing skirts, and all of the appropriate accouterments in her shop for palmistry and tarot card reading. Behind the mysterious silences lies a talented technical writer, the responsible family woman who cares for her aging relatives, and blond hair.

WILD by Lori Foster is a sizzling voyage of discovery. Tamara learns there is more to Zane than the sexy heartthrob who dances topless on the tabletops of his brother's bar. Zane quickly comes to appreciate the woman behind the mysterious façade who's remarkable strength matches his own. In addition to self-discovery, however, lies a very serious danger. Someone stalks the Gypsy lady, breaking into her shop and following her on the streets. Now the very self-reliant Tamara must not only learn to trust her heart, but her safety to another.

A sensual treat that combines fascinating character development with a terrific plot, WILD will satisfy the most discerning readers. Not only do the main characters sparkle, but the secondary characters are likewise dazzling with nuance and flavor. Tamara's unorthodox family, her employee Luna, and Zane's cousin Joe all come alive with this masterful author's pen. A tantalizing and titillating delight, WILD lives up to it's title with flair! Very highly recommended.
