Summary: I Want Wild...
Review: "I Want You"... what a way to approach a gorgeous guy! And he turns her down!?!? Luckily, that's not the end of the book. It's only the beginning, and Zane and Tamara's story is a truly wild continuation of the super novellas on "The Winston Brothers." Having Zane fall to the "Winston Curse"... with a gypsy who's not exactly as she appears! I truly liked reading about these 4 brothers and noting their differences. Each one is so unique, you're bound to find one you can't resist and likely, more than one. In WILD, bringing in cousin, Joe, is a "hoot" and keeps our hopes alive that there will be at least one more chance to visit the wonderful Winston men. Great sequel Ms. Foster and looking forward to Joe's story.

Summary: Wild? Am I missing something? ...
Review: "Wild"? In what way? That was the question I kept asking myself while reading this book. In Foster's earlier works on the Winston brothers, Zane is alluded to as the "wild" one, apparently because of his carefree sexual lifestyle, flirtatiousness, and willingness to strip off his shirt when customers in the family bar ask him to do so (which begs the question of how this bar is known as a "family" place). Whether or not the reader might think that behavior is wild, however, is moot because we see precious little of it in this, the only full-length book about the Winstons. Don't get me wrong - the plot is generally well constructed and the "read" is an enjoyable one, which is why I gave it three stars. The book begins when Zane's next door business neighbor, Tamara, propositions him in the middle of a huge sale in his computer store (sure, that's when I would proposition a hunk with whom I had scarcely exchanged two words). Tamara runs a "gypsy" boutique and dresses the part, complete with long black hair, toe rings, and ankle bells. Inexplicably (since Zane would seem to have sex with anything that moves), he turns her down and then later changes his mind and knocks on the door to her apartment over the store. There he discovers not only what she really looks like (blond), but what she really is (the standard Foster heroine: a virgin), and what her life is really like (crazy "Gypsy" relatives who belittle her and mess up her life, a business in trouble due to sabotage and break ins, and a family-approved suitor from the "old country"). Throw in a new Winston cousin with a dark past and an erotic journal Tamara inadvertently purchased at an estate sale, apparently wanted by someone else and unbelievably tied to someone else in the story, and you have the stew of a plot. Although Foster handles the plot well enough, the whole book has a feeling of "construction", i.e. the reader can feel the author creating the plot devices as one reads along. Zane goes from turning Tamara down for easy sex to shortly thereafter wanting her forever with little motivation or relationship development (another common Foster plot device, especially evident in the Chase Winston story). Finally, I have just not been enthralled with Foster's reliance on virgin heroines who, during their first time having sex, have no inhibitions in bed and are emotionally and physically able to have multiple intercourse episodes - hey, I know romance are fantasies, but when I wince during a love scene, well, that's not so fantastic.

Summary: Another Winston brother has stolen my heart!
Review: After much anticipation for this book, I was very pleased with "Wild" and it's characters! Zane Winston, the "playboy" brother, comes to light as a protective, sensual and sensitive hero, perfect to pair with the heroine bold enough to approach him outright with her desire for him! Ms. Foster realistically portrays the fraternal relationships among the Winstons and neatly contrasts their stability against the kookiness of Tamara Treymayne's family. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is so explosive, it's hard to believe they've avoided each other for as long as they did before finally doing something about it. But their getting together is a delight for the reader, a sensual and fun love story that offers thrills and laughs. "Wild" is an excellent example as to why Ms. Foster has become one of today's favorite authors!

Summary: Wonderfully Delicious!
Review: Back cover reads:
In her deliciously steamy novellas, Lori Foster introduced the sinfully attractive-and sensual-Winston brothers. Now she continues their story--as sexy Zane Winston sets his roving eyes on the lady of his dreams...
Zane Winston is used to fielding women's not-so-subtle advances. But he's still shocked when an exotic gypsy whispers some very suggestive words in his ear--and surprised to find that he's aroused by her words rather than amused. After all, she's not exactly his type.
But he soon discovers that Tamara Tremayne's not really all that exotic. Her so-called psychic powers are (mostly) made up. Her waist length black mane is a wig. And underneath the witchy makeup is a very stubborn, seductive woman--who may be in very serious danger...
Tamara refuses to accept Zane's help--but he's still sure she's the woman for him. She may not be supernatural. But she's sassy. Sexy. And totally wild...

Summary: Great ending
Review: Excellent ending to the last of the Winston Brothers. These books, like the rest, are very sexual with a great story line.

Summary: Fun for Summer
Review: Fun and amazingly engrossing. The main plot is more than a bit weak (gypsies? The journal thing? C'mon - this is 2002!) but somehow that just doesn't matter. Foster's writing makes you forget that Zane goes from loathing Tamara to loving her in about 27 seconds. Truly.

It's fun and definitely a summer (or vacation) read. I'm ordering the trilogy The Winston Brothers to find out how the rest of the brothers met their downfall.

Summary: There's nothing NOT to love about this one!
Review: Having watched all three of his brothers give up the joys of bachelorhood for the bonds of marriage, Zane Winston has no intention of falling victim to the family "curse." Which is why he's gone out of his way to avoid Tamara Tremayne. His intense attraction to the captivating gypsy has taken hold like a virus, short-circuiting his brain and leaving his hormones in constant overdrive. Totally unacceptable reactions as far as the handsome workaholic who's spent the past several years focusing all his energy into his growing computer business is concerned. He's determined not to succumb to temptation...until the day she enters his store and says the three words he can't resist: "I want you." Soon the involvement-wary Zane finds himself dealing with her overprotective uncle, wacky ghost-believing aunts, her assorted oddball clients, her unusual assistant and a would-be rival for her affections and loving it...loving her...every minute.

Readers have anticipated Zane's story for the past two years and now, not only do readers finally get to know this mouth-watering male, but we also get to revisit all of his seductive siblings as well. It can't get much better than this! (Well, except maybe the last Buckhorn brother. <g>)

Zane has happily ascribed to the "work hard, play hard" philosophy, although lately he seems to be all work and no play, making him ripe for Tamara's seductive overtures. It doesn't take Zane long to figure out that Tamara is not exactly as she appears, however, and that her seemingly free spirit covers up a lonely heart. Although she's done her best, Tamara has never quite fit in with her flamboyant, nomadic family. While they revel in the gypsy ways, Tamara has instead longed for a steady, stable life. Owning her own place and shop have given her part of her dream, but it is her relationship with Zane that finally allows her to strike a balance between the needs of her family and the desires of her heart.

With engaging characters, clever dialogue, and smoldering sensuality mixed with plenty laugh-out-loud humor -- and, MMM, those wicked Winston brothers -- you'll be totally wild about WILD.

Summary: pleasant erotic romance
Review: His brothers recently found love that led to marriage, but Zane Winston plans to remain a contented bachelor for at least the near future. Zane loves to play the field, but his perfect single world changes when Tamara Tremayne garbed in erotic new age garments enters his computer shop whispering: "I want you."

Tamara has been attracted to Zane, but he has never noticed she existed. Deciding that she must act on her feelings she finds a journal full of erotic advice that she applies to Zane. He is aroused and she encourages him further. Tamara feels she has earned a last fling before leaving town when her New Age business finally fails due to vandalism. Zane feels protective, but desperately wants to become the latest married Winston if he can convince Tamara to have him permanently.

WILD lives up to its title name, as the story line is a fast-paced madcap trip. The opening line of "I want you" will be considered a classic and sets the tone for the lead characters, whom readers will like when they avoid abusing the use of sexual innuendoes. When they go sexual, Zane and Tamara lose some of their appeal. Still, Lori Foster closes the Winston Brothers saga with a pleasant erotic romance.
