Rating: Summary: It was good Review: This is only the 2nd book of Christina Dodd's that I have read and I do plan on reading more. Her writing is good but different than I am used to. It starts out with Evangeline spending her "inheritance" and living life for a while with out any worries, oh how wrong she was. Enters Prince Danior, he finds her and everything goes down hill from there. The Prince seems to think that she is the Princess. He has not seen the Princess in 10 years and she has Serephina eyes. So even though she tells him over and over again she is not the Princess he does not believe her. Danior can not believe she is lying about being the Princess, it is something she should be proud of, like him. I guess it would be helpful if I put in why he went looking for her. Well, the Princess wrote him a letter saying she did not want to marry him and that she would not be coming back. Now why should this be a problem, well it was prophesied that they would be married and unite the two kingdoms once again, of course! :) Danior has a lot of pride and honor for his country and will do anything to unite the two kingdoms. He was born to do it and nothing would stop him, not even a "lying", escaping, talkative, tempting "Princess".
Danior is a little... I guess you could say he is a bit of a royal pain in the butt. LOL. He is strong yet weak in certain things. He has many things going on in his head. He was raised to bring the two kingdoms together and he was not going to let the people down and he only had 3 or 4 days to bring her back to the kingdom for the wedding. He is somewhat of a snob but then he is kind. He is so scared of being like his mean father that he holds a lot of feeling inside.
Evangeline is a really strong female character and I really liked her. I felt for her. She was so scared and she fell in love with Danior quickly and really did not want to leave him. But she is a really good person and could not lie to a whole kingdom, plus what would happen if the real princess came back? Evangeline is very smart and clever. She escapes Danior and his guards a couple of times and it is so funny how she does it and then Danior's reaction.
This story moves kinda quickly and I liked it because it all fit well.
This was a good book and at the end I did the whole signing thing, but it was different type of writing then I am used to. But I would suggest reading it because it is good and a cutie story. Plus Evangeline kicks butt, in my opinion. :)
Rating: Summary: Best ever!! Review: When I looked at this book for the first time, I thought that it would be boring. Another one of the books that have the same basic plot, two people meet, they fall in love, and they get married. But when I started reading the book, I was bored, I couldn't put it down! It was so good. This book had everything. It was romantic, it was funny, and it showed what each person was thinking. The pain that they both has been through. And as Evangeline and Danoir takes their journey back to their castle, they learn more and more about each other. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good romantic book.
