He takes her back to her boarding school, and life progresses as normal. Later on, she revisits the Black Forest and meets the same dashing gentleman on "The Night of the Seventh Moon". She marries him a few days later and has a few days of happiness. She woke up one morning and was told she had been attacked a week ago, and her marriage was a dream. Her world changes forever as she desperately tries to prove she was not dreaming and to find her husband. Was she really dreaming? This book is one of Victoria Holt's most mind-bending novels. Also, it is different because the mysterious person messing up the heroine's life is actually more than one person or group of people.

Rating: Summary: On the Night of the Seventh Moon's Enchantment Review: Helena Trant is an innocent character who portrases the excelance of all of Miss Holts excetional writting. I loved this book as much as I loved all of her book, and even more than I love the Lord of the Rings series
Rating: Summary: Thrilling to the last page! Review: I am such a huge Victoria Holt fan! Every story she writes is better than the one before and when it comes to gothic romance (in my opinion) not many writers can do it as well as this writer. Her characters are always exciting and her plots anything but predictable or boring. This is one book you don't want to miss! (Highly Recommended Novel). Take "10" Ms. Holt you deserve it!
Rating: Summary: Unforgettable Review: I began reading "On the Night of the Seventh Moon" when I was 12 years old. My sister, 2 years old at the time, tore out the last few chapters of the book. I searched for 15 years before finally finding a hard cover copy in a used book store almost 8 years ago. I have kept it in a safe place ever since and have re-read it several times. Very well written, the characters come to life and evoke a wide range of emotion in the reader. The content is appropriate for young readers without seeming "adolescent" to adults. It is without a doubt the most romantic story I've ever read and one of my most cherished possesions. I'm glad to see it back in print...just in case.
Rating: Summary: I've discovered VH, another intriguing author Review: I can't believe that I have never heard of Ms. Holt before. I have been looking for an exciting and new author for a while. It turns out that VH is not new, though. I love her 'clean' books, filled with romance, mystery and intrigue. This is one of my favorites so far. I don't skip a single word from her writings for fear I will miss something. You must try her, she's a page turner.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite books Review: I first read this book when I was in 7th grade back in 1974. I have re-read it many times. I now have the pleasure of sharing it with my teenage daughters to enjoy. It has been almost 30 years since I first read this book, it to this day is still unforgetable!!!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, wonderful story Review: I have been in love with Victoria Holt's novels since my mother introduced me to her. I have read all of her books under her all of her pseudonyms, and and find her a thoroughly wonderful author. I feel that anyone who wants to read a good book, that will keep them interested beyond the first page should read all of her books. I have read each of her books at least three times and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys to read, 13 year old from Galesburg Illinois
Rating: Summary: Good but... Review: I usually enjoy VH novels to the max and this one is no exception but it was a little predictable. Even so, I recommend this book because it is still a very good story.
