Rating: Summary: Actually..3 1/2 stars....... Review: "Always" definitely had it's moments...and I cant deny that some of it was outrageously amusing...I think the thing that bothered me most was how bossy Aric was...not to mention how Wimpy Rosamunde was made out to be....This book was fun, but dragged...I wouldnt dissuade one from reading it, but I wouldnt recommend it either.
Rating: Summary: Not Lynsay Sand's Best Review: Always has a good dose of Lynsay Sand's warm humor but it was not as good as The Deed or The Key. The hero, Eric, has caught his fiance cheating on him. While he is stewing over her infedelity, the king pays him a visit. Upon learning of his broken engagement, he commands Eric to marry his illegimate daughter, Rosalind. Eric will receive a profitable estate upon the marriage. Rosalind has grown up in a small convent. She is happy among the sisters and expects to take her vows and become a nun. Her father arrives and quickly puts an end to that plan. He talks his beloved daughter into the marriage and makes her swear she will obey him always. It was a cute, humorous story, but I thought Eric took his mistrust of women out on the heroine and made her a prisoner of his insecurities. He was pretty mean to her to her for more than half the story.I think forbidding her near the stables or out of the castle was bordering on cruel. Especially when working with animals was something the heroine loved doing. But the heroine reacts in a way that will guarantee to bring a chuckle out of just about anyone. So read and enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Humor and love Review: As with all of Lynsay Sands stories this one has a lot of things that will make you laugh out load. You will also hate the hero at parts for being the most stupid of men. This is the story of Rosamunde who is about to "take the veil "when her father (the king) shows up to marry her to a knight and see her set up in her life so that he knows she will be happy. The only problem is that she was not raised to be a wife and is more comfortable around horses and animals that people. But, that changes slowly with he growing caring for her new husband. There is a lot of humor in this story and a strong woman character. One of the best scenes is where Aric walks into the great hall to discover not only is there a gassy horse there but it is wearing his new hat and his great cloak...

Rating: Summary: The Best One Yet! Review: I had the joy of reading a pre-pub copy of this book and it had become my favorite Lynsay Sands novel. It contains the most hilarious deflowering I have ever read! Many parts of this story made me laugh until the tears flowed. I recommend this book highly.
Rating: Summary: Having fun yet?! Review: I really enjoyed this book! The author could have gotten a little more involved in the character's emotions, instead of just the top ones (lust, anger, etc.), but it was very well done and funny nontheless! Rosamunde was raised in a convent, expecting to become a nun. The day before she takes her vows however, her father shows up with a slightly reluctant husband. She takes this in hand however, intending to make the best of it. But having nothing to go on for info on a wedding night but " It is just like the farm animals" gets her highly embarresesed when her new husband Aric teachs her otherwise!! When attacks on the couple's lives start, the hasty marriage grows into true love as each one realizes how empty their lives would be without each other.
Rating: Summary: Lynsay Sands is a MUST read!!! Review: Lynsay's newest book proves she is a writer to watch. She broke into the romance world with a bang with The Deed, and has proven with such great books as The Switch, Lady Pirate and The Key that she can do it again and again. Her style is fluid, her voice so natural, and there is no one else like her around. Her books are warm, intelligent and with a ton of humour. When I am reading anything by Lynsay, I am always smiling or laughing outloud!! So many times when someone tries the light touch with historical, their heroine comes out like an idiot. Lynsay deftly walks that fine line between jest and joke, with intelligent resourceful characters that often do silly things - but for good reasons!! Most especially, her books are never contrived. In Always, her Rosamunde is a gently raised bastard daughter of King Henry, and just before his death he arranges a marriage for her to Alric. He is coming off a bad engagement and has little trust for women, but sees no choice in the forced marriage. While Rosamunde is not totally against the idea of a husband, she brings a vast lacking in knowledge to the marriage bed due to the concepts instilled in her by the nuns . Rosemunde is an adorable, charming, witty character and one you will long remember. I read a lot, so often books tend to blur together. Years from now I will think of Rosamunde and remember her well!! Pick up Lynsay Sands and you are guaranteed a good time!! WISE Writers and Readers Book of the Month for April 2001 Book of the Year for 2001 (tied with Night Vistor by Melanie Jackson)
Rating: Summary: Always Review: Oh my what a book! I first picked up the book because i love it when the heroines are not just innocent but also innocent of how the act of love is performed. Rosamunde has been raised in a convent all her life and when her father the King brings her intended husband to wed her she asked her fellow nuns what will be expected of her. Well the way they explain lovemaking to her made me laugh so hard I cried. And then when she's finally alone with her husband who under the time conditions placed upon him by his King cannot take the time to really teach her the art of love making, she endears herself to all the readers. Soon though she does learn from her husband and he is delighted to find her a willing and apt pupil. He is very jealous of any males coming near her and has to learn the hard way that she really has no intention or desire to be anything but his. She tries his patience and it makes for an exciting book. I can't wait to read Lynsay Sands other books.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL ! Review: THE BEST romance I have EVER read! I laughed and smiled all the way through it! This is the first book by Lynsay Sands I have read, so I am anxious to read more from her. I could not put this book down. I love the characters Aric and Rosemunde, she is absolutely DELIGHTFUL, and Aric has a charming temper, yes... charmimg! I laughed at her antics and at his response to her antics! I'm smiling as a type this remembering. The story is weaved so well and carries you through from one delight to the next. I agree with the other post, the deflowering was hysterical! Rosemunde's ignorance of what goes on in the marriage bed was charming and sweet, besides being rib-tickling funny! A DEFINITE buy and a DEFINITE KEEPER. Thank you Ms. Sands!
Rating: Summary: Irritating after a while Review: This book did have some humorous moments and the love scenes were steamy. However, the heroine really started to get on my nerves. She was made out to be just plain stupid at times. She seemed to follow Aric around like some insipid ninny. After a while, it seemed that she was just a sex toy and had no brain. This was a major flaw in the novel and one I couldn't get past enough to read the remainder of the novel (I read about 3/4).
