Summary: Very, Very Good!
Review: I'm glad that I didn't read the other customer reviews before I read this wonderful book. One reviewer actually called it tame. Tame certainly is not a word I would use to describe it. In fact, when I got to the peppermint scene I thought the pages would catch fire! I haven't read the other books in this series (didn't even know there were others) and I hope to read them now. I loved this book because of the wonderful writing style of Gaelen Foley's and for the wonderful character development, especially of Rafe. I didn't really like him in the beginning and by the end he had completely redeemed himself. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because several of the scenes bothered me, such as Dani sitting on Rafe's lap during the council meeting. However, the steamy love scenes are the best I've ever read in any book whatsoever. I usually like my hero to be dark, but I take this blonde Adonis over a tortured, dark hero anyday. I will never look at a peppermint candy the same!

Summary: Fabulous Finale to a Great Trilogy!
Review: If you're looking for vibrant writing, edgy, exciting characters, sensational action (and breathless love scenes) look no farther than Gaelen Foley's latest release, PRINCE CHARMING! Ms. Foley takes an irresistible premise--lady Robin Hood vs. Royal Bad Boy--and infuses it with charm, verve, and heavy doses of passion. A thrilling adventure and a wonderful close to a Keeper series. I can't wait to see what's next!

Summary: The best of the trilogy
Review: Oh, what a romance! I loved the hero. Rafe really is a rake. I liked the Foley didn't give us a perfect hero here. He's just bad enough to make your mouth water, but he's also vulnerable in his fear of never living up to his father's expectations of him. Dani is a good match for him. She's strong and doesn't put herself first.

And, oh, Gaelon Foley sure does know how to write a love scene. They are hot! Probably the hottest scenes of any in this trilogy. I love the scene where Rafe, at the peak of his princely arrogance, spies Daniella at his birthday party and orders his friends to bring her to his bedchamber. Yes, it's too arrogant and you'd like to slap him, but it's also extremely sexy on some primitive level.

Although I loved the first novel in this trilogy (The Pirate Prince) and just kind of liked the second (Princess), I have to say that this one was my favorite.

Summary: Bravo! A wonderful end to a great series.
Review: Once again Gaelen Foley has brought us back to Ascencion to revisit the royal family. The crown Prince Rafael is bored. His days are spent playing and his nights womanizing. He is known as Rafe the Rake, until one night he is robbed by a highwayman, the Masked Rider.

Lady Daniela Chiaramonte rides as the Masked Rider in order to pay her taxes and help the people who rely upon her. After a failed attempt to rob the crown prince, her life is forever changed.

When King Lazar and Queen Allegra leave Ascencion to visit their daughter and son-in-law in Spain Rafe is made prince regent and put in charge. The only condition is that he marry and produce an heir to the throne. Rafe reluctantly agrees, but when he captures the Masked Rider and realizes how much his kingdom loves her, he saves her from being hanged and marries her instead.

At first the marriage is just to win the people over, but soon the two fall in love. Their newfound love is constantly put to the test when a jealous cousin plants suspicions in Dani's mind and tries to overthrow Rafe.

If you loved The Pirate Prince and Princess, then Prince Charming is exactly what you've been looking for. Ms. Foley completes this wonderful series and leaves us all wanting more. Can we only hope and cross our fingers that Prince Leo will have a story?

Summary: Almost as good as Pirate Prince!
Review: Once again, Lazar and Allegra, of Pirate Prince, are disappointing parents. This time, they try to force their son Rafael into an arranged marriage. But he ends up falling in love with Daniela instead - after she robs him as the infamous highwayman, The Masked Rider. She even bests him in a fight, which is nice if you don't care for timid, helpless heroines.

Of the three novels in this series, I think this one is probably the best in terms of the accompanying adventure plot. It's a real treat, full of intrigue and twists and turns, written as well as anything you'd find in the average thriller. In addition to the fact that the heroine is a highway robber, Rafael becomes King regent in his father's absence and has to deal with treachery from within the court, a family secret revealed, a jealous mistress, and decadent friends.

This book is even more erotic than Pirate Prince and Princess, and the reader gets juicy glimpses into Rafael's life as a rake. The fact that he has work to seduce his own wife after their marriage adds more thrills.

If this book is not quite as perfect as Pirate Prince, it is still one of the best romance novels out there. It is extremely well-written, and it's flaws have more to do with the inconsistency between the Ascension of Pirate Prince and that of the two sequels. Still, I suggest reading them in order, since each hero is introduced in the prior book, and a lot of the characterization of the hero actually takes place there.

Summary: The stuff dreams are made of...
Review: Prince Charming had me spell bound from the moment I read the first line! Having read The Pirate Prince and Princess, I was eager to get my hands on the last of the Ascencion Trilogy. Gaelen Foley is a superb writer, whose talent goes beyond weaving tales of wonderful romance. Her characters come to life in a way that I have never experienced. She truly knows how to whisk her audience away to the faraway land of romantic make-believe.

The reviewer before me from Venice, California hit the nail on the head describing the plot of the tale. I can only add that if you pass up any of Gaelen's books, you are truly missing an experience of a lifetime in literary romance.

Summary: DESERVES 10 STARS!
Review: Prince Charming is the final book in Gaelen Foley's brilliant and unforgettable Ascencion trilogy and as hard as it is to choose between the three unique stories I have to say Prince Charming it's the best of the bunch.

This is the story of Rafael di Fiore, Lazar's and Allegra's son. At the beginning of the story he's pampered, spoiled, and careless and somewhat of a dissapointment to his parents. Known as Rafe the Rake for his numerous sexual conquests, he's amoral and reckless but deep inside he's insecure and yearns for a chance to prove himself to his father and his country. He's given this chance when the king takes a holiday to Spain and leaves him in charge of the kingdom. As a condition Rafael must choose a bride to insure the succession. He chooses to wed Daniela Chiaramonte, also known as The Masked Rider, Ascencion's own female Robin Hood. Rafael and Dani meet when she mistakenly robs him on a deserted road. Rafael is immediately attracted to her and instead of sending her to the gallows he asks her to become his wife. He tells her he's marrying her because of her influence with the people of Ascencion will help him repair his tarnished image. Of course, he's kidding himself because he's already head over heels in love.

This story is full of romance, adventure and sexy love scenes. Rafael is truly prince charming and Daniela is a compelling heroine. She's strong, independent and plucky but not annoyingly so (like so many heroines are nowadays). This is truly a great book. If you're tired of reading the same old boring plots and cliches that appear on every other romance novel today give Ms. Foley a try. She does not dissapoint. :)

Summary: PRINCE CHARMING
Review: PRINCE CHARMING is the third book in the Ascencion trilogy begun by talented new author Gaelen Foley in September of '98, and it sweeps you off your feet with adventure, intrigue, and sizzling, spicy hot romance. I'm still trying to catch my breath. Honestly, Prince Rafael di Fiore could charm the socks off you in no time, not to mention a few other things. He's a wild playboy, and can this prince ever play, and he's under his father's thumb, but fighting to be his own man.

One night he meets the challenge of his life when his coach is held up by the famous Masked Rider, who is beloved by his townspeople, who rob from the rich to give to the poor on her land. Lady Daniela Chiaramonte is none other than the lady behind this charade. When tracing and capturing the bandits on her land he meets the fiery redhead, unaware of her true identity. She is independent, stands up to him and actually resists his charm, something that has never happened to him before. So begins a battle of wills between these two dynamic persons that will enchant you. Dani's pure loving spirit and her innocence and loyalty to Rafe is his saving grace and helps make him into the man he had always dreamed of becoming. In turn, Dani finds a man who is caring, gentle and oh, so loving. In truth, his crown is not upon his head but on his heart!

This book is much more than it seems at first and as the layers are taken off these complex characters you find they are not what they seem at all. As you delve into Rafe's and Dani's secret dreams and their growing love for one another you will be thrilled by their trust and loyalty that sets them free to be the best that they can be. That working together they can be united in purpose to disperse the hoard of enemies who want to keep them apart. This is truly a book with pulse pounding excitement as it twists and turns in unexpected directions to keep you right on the edge of your seat. PRINCE CHARMING is a book you will want to read again and again. Wow!

PRINCE CHARMING is divine reading. Don't miss it!

Summary: amazing!
Review: Prince Charming is, in my opinion, the best in the trilogy.

Rafe the Rake, the charming crown prince of Ascencion, has never been taken seriously, but when King Lazar fears that he might soon die and decides to travel to Spain to visit Serafina (Princess), Rafael di Fiore becomes the Prince Regent. An opportunity Rafe has waited all his life for, but with it, come all the responsibilities that no one trusted him to have the abilities for and a secret conspiracy that he is in danger of falling victim to.

Daniela Chiaramonte is the infamous Masked Rider, whose brave Robin Hood-like adventures have won her the heart of Ascencion's people. From the day Rafe saw her, he knew that he wanted this innocent, stubborn woman.

So, proposing marriage when she is captured, Rafe tells her that he is only hoping the Masked Rider will help sway the public's opinion of him. However, as they fight to keep their marriage and the throne of Ascencion, they discover just how far each will go to protect the other, and the depth of their love.

However, there were a few parts where Rafe gets a bit pushy, though, the prince that he is, he always remains a gentleman. This truly fantastic story moved me to tears. Don't miss it or the rest of the Ascencion trilogy!!
