Rating: Summary: Mackenzie's Mountain Review: I absolutely loved this book! I loved how Mary got right under his skin.. I really enjoy the Mackeznie's series. I can't wait for Chance's story to come out but I was also wondering if books have been written on Josh and Michael's stories. I would definitely buy them if available.

Rating: Summary: I just love family series!! Review: I started reading Mackenzie's Magic as it was one of the short stories in Christmas Kisses. I then realized that it was part of a series, and though I was enjoying it so much, I quite reading it, as I hate to read out of order. I then bought Mackenzie's Mountain, as it was just reprinted, and am loving it!!!! I appreciate the reviewer who stated that Joe's story is being re-released, and that Chance's was coming out, but does anyone know if Zane's story is going to be re-released?!! I just can't live without reading all of the installments!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful story of real life happenings Review: Wolf MacKenzie's story of falling for a 'mousy school' teacher is probably more realistic than many of us would like to believe. Having just finished a course of History of the 60's I understand more and more how small towns and America have grown up. This book gives a reader a very good idea of the prejudices and small-mindedness that haunts small towns. It also shows that love can overcome and heal many of the wounds that are caused by these frailties of the human race. Wolf is a warrior and his life has carried many battle scars that soften and allow a 'mousy schoolteacher' to worm her way under his skin and into his heart. The saga of the Mackenzie family is a wonderful story of love and those special men and women who find their way into the other's heart.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't even finish it... Review: I decided to try a Linda Howard book when I saw that it was in the top 5 sellers. However, the story was one big cliche. I was so bored I couldn't even finish it. Who wants a main female character who wears "housecoats" and who is so dorky that the reader doesn't even like her? Give me Nora Roberts or Susan Elizabeth Phillips anyday!
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THE MACKENZIE'S ! Review: I don't know what it is about the MacKenzie family, but I just can't get enough! I absolutely love Linda Howard's books, but the MacKenzie family just reminds me so much of my own. Their personalities, the way they are with each other and how they stand by each other and support each other. I've yet to read about Joe,Michael,Joshua and Chance. I can't wait to read their stories. Thank you Linda, you've got a good thing going here with the MacKenzie family. I hope to read about Wolf and Mary's grandchildren in the future too.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites... Review: I have owned a copy of this book for several years now. This is my bar-none, absolute favorite Linda Howard book -- which is saying a lot, since I have loved most of her books. It has passion, adventure, and romance. An irresistible force meets an immovable object. A must-read.
Rating: Summary: What year was the setting for this story? Review: I'm a big fan of Linda Howard's more recent work (Son of the Morning, Kill and Tell, All the Queen's Men, etc.) and this is the first book about the McKenzies I've read. I'm sorry, but if this story was post-Vietnam, the naivete of the heroine was just too much to be believable. Hadn't she ever seen an R-rated movie? And the open bigotry of the small town toward anyone of Indian heritage also seemed way too outdated. This is not the first time that I've been disappointed by LH's earlier work. I love her longer contemporary novels so much that I keep looking for something I may have missed. I guess I'll just wait for her next release.
Rating: Summary: simply the best Review: Mackenzie's Mountain is a horselover's dream. It is like John Wayne and all the old western heroes at the same book. Every litte girl has a dream about taming her own black, wild stallion. When you get older the dream changes a bit ;-). Well this is a dream come true in a book genre. Mary is an old maid who finds and tames the stallion. In this book I admire the atmosphere. Mrs.Howard has created a scene that good be true. Chance's story will handle him saving a terroris't daughter. Probaply then we are far away from this close by country side that Mackenzie's mountain in about.
Rating: Summary: More MacKenzie Books Review: Chance MacKenzie's story will be released in August, 2000 as a Silhouette Intimate Moment entitled "A Game of Chance". Also, MIRA Books will reissue Joe's story "MacKenzie's Mission" in July, 2000. Let's hope Linda is back to stay at Silhouette.
