Summary: Laugh-Out-Loud Funny and Beautifully Loving and Tender
Review: I absolutely loved this book! I will not go into detail of what this story is about. The above reviews are pretty descriptive.

The love that develops between Genevieve and Kendrick is beautiful. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments as well as tearful scenes where you feel the seeming hopelessness of their situation. You can actually see them fall in love (sniffle, sniffle). Ms. Kurland really "draws" the characters and scenes so fully and clearly that you feel like you are right there in the room with them. Genevieve and Kendrick are very likeable/loveable characters - well, you may want to grab Kendrick by the neck and shake a few times in the very beginning, but he quickly redeems himself. The supporting characters are also very well developed and sometimes "steal the show." I know there are a few of them that I hope will get their own story.

While there are some good moments of suspense, in this reader's opinion this story is mostly about the developing relationship between Genevieve and Kendrick, who they are and how they came to be where they are presently. It is a beautiful and humorous love story and one of the most well-written stories I have read. I loved not only the characters (even when you want to throttle them) but also the story line and how it progressed from the first to the very last page (well, okay, there were a couple of aggravations, but who in real life never has those? And those aggravations do not detract from the story but actually add to it).

One comment for those who like explicit love scenes in their books: You will not get that in this book. There is a little bit of descriptive "love making," but not in great detail. Some may think this leaves the story lacking, but in my opinion it is not necessary to include X-rated sex scenes in order to have a good love story.

If you want to spend several hours being entertained by laughing out loud and oohing and ahhing over tender moments, then I recommend getting this book. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: A book to read again and again....
Review: This was a funny and heart warming story about a young woman who loses everything she has worked very hard to achieve only to inherit a castle and a new life. The castle comes with a few "extras" - ghosts to be exact. Lord Seakirk is the main ghost who resides in the castle and believes he can only be released from his 700 year curse when the last of the Buchannan line signs the castle over to him. Mayhem ensues when the fiesty, but shy new Lady of the manor arrives and refuses to be frightened off or scared to death by the ghosts. Lord Seakirk (a.k.a. Kendrick) finds himself feeling protective and happy with his new charge and begins to befriend her instead of scaring her away. Maybe a 700-year-old curse isn't such a bad thing after all?

Summary: Magical and imaginative ~ tops on my list!
Review: What more can you say about a romance between a ghostly medieval knight and a 20th-century heroine but that it's pure magic? This story haunted me (no pun intended) for years after I first read a borrowed copy and when I finally found my own copy, I was thrilled.

I'm not usually into paranormal, but this is more than that. It's a simply wonderful love story that will, in turn, make you cry, laugh and just smile ridiculously. Kendrick is a masculine hero who's not afraid of his more sensitive side (maybe 700 years as a ghost would help other men too... hmmmm) and I could definitely relate to Genevieve, the sometimes skittish and silly heroine who was still lovable and believable. Read and enjoy!

Summary: Light and romantic story...
Review: Genevieve thought her life was complete with a thriving restoration business she had built from the ground up. Then out of the blue, Genevieve inherits a castle, but she must live there. Her first thoughts were to turn it down until mysteriously, her clients started firing her from all her big accounts. She gratefully accepts the inheritance and travels to England to take possession but what she didn't expect was that the castle came with an incredibly sexy 13th century knight. Unfortunately, he's a ghost, who is bent on getting rid of the last of her line so that he can finally be free of his 700 year old curse.

With no where else to go, Genevieve digs in her heels and refuses to be scared away. Soon she and Kendrick de Paiget are coexisting in the castle and Kendrick comes to admire the saucy wench's `spunk'. There are some humorous scenes here that the reader will enjoy as they learn to coexist together. ...

I was totally enjoying this book but the reason I am not giving it a better rating was the unbelievable conception that after a particularly emotional last gasp type of romantic encounter, ... I have to say that the story was quite good and it is something that I can definitely recommend. I do disagree with another reviewer that it should be tossed out after Kendrick becomes mortal again as the last half of the book is interesting in finding out who and why someone wants to kill Genevieve.

Summary: The Stardust of Yesterday
Review: Lynn Kurland is an extremely talented author. I have been reading Contemporary and Historical romance for about 7 or 8 years now. My favorite authors have been Jude Deveraux and Julie Garwood. I didn't think anyone else would come close to those two. Then along came Lynn Kurland whose stories are enough to keep me glued to the pages until I am finished. If you haven't picked up one of her books yet, please do. You won't regret it.
