Rating: Summary: A Favorite Review: This is one of my favorite books yet. Overwhelmingly romantic. I laughed, I cried, I couldn't put it down. Don't miss this one...
Rating: Summary: Hauntingly Enchanting Review: This is a keeper book, I am deffinately one of Lynn Kurland's biggest who own one of every book she's written. This book, holds the only exception, for which I have two should something happen to the first. It's that good! Kendrick is one to fall in love with the moment you meet him. His looks and his attitude, I would not mind having a castle with him inside for me! Keep up the outstanding work Kurland, all of your books are "keepers" on my shelf.
Rating: Summary: Positively delightful!!! Review: If you enjoy a good laugh and endearing characters, this is definitely a book to read! Kurland's style is easy to read and filled with witty repartee, with a three-dimensional hero and heroine that are incredibly lovable. Her secondary characters, while not given quite the same treatment, make wonderful additions to the story. While this is the first book I've read by this author, it certainly will not be the last. I look forward to discovering her other novels, since her first one has already made it to my keeper shelf.
Rating: Summary: Another hit from Kurland... Review: I have not been disappointed once since I started reading Lynn Kurland novels, and this book is no exception. She combines fantasy, realistic characterization, romance, plot, and humor with her excellent writing. This novel is one of my favorite Kurland books.
Rating: Summary: Not your usual "mush" book..... Review: This is easily my favorite Lynn Kurland book. A haunted castle, a modern day heroine, a surly yet gorgeous ghost not to mention an unpredictable plot....what more could you ask for? I've always enjoyed Kurland's books, but this one I even recommended to my mother. She enjoyed it so much she found herself laughing and crying out loud; which, of course, caught my father's attention. When she finished, he started reading and couldn't put it down. Now they have both read all her books to date and are as excited as I am about future releases from Kurland.
Rating: Summary: Not Bad Review: I'm a big fan of romance novels, especially ones with time travels, ghosts and the supernatural. I enjoyed the overall plot in this story, the humor and the ghost's personality I liked, but I was a bit disappointed by the herione's disposition of crying all the time. And the villian struck me as a little bit cliched. But, grant you, I'm more of a person who looks for a girl in the story who doesn't just sit on the sidelines screaming, but accually involved and can do stuff. But that's just me.
Rating: Summary: Medieval romance -- finally! Review: Kurland takes the universal dream of the white knight and makes it happen for her characters. Genevieve inherits a castle and is haunted by a handsome ghost who tries to scare her into leaving and giving up her inheritance. Somewhere along the way they fall in love. Can a human/spirit relationship work? Wonderfully detailed writing shows a love for the period as well as talent for telling a good romance. (PS - I started out reading Kathleen Woodiwiss, but I don't like the regency stuff really.)
Rating: Summary: Truly magnificent, not to be missed Review: This was the first Lynn Kurland book I read and I could not put it down until the end. I now have all of her books and have read them all. Stardust of Yesterday is a truly magical story that you will never want to end. 5 stars are not enough for a story such as this one. If you want to read about Kendrick in the other books, in the right order, first you will find him in "The Christmas Cat" anthology. The story is called "The gift of Christmas past". Then you will find him in "The More I See You". Read " Stardust of Yesterday" last. You won't be disapointed. I'd love to read more about Kendrick and Genervieve in a future book from Lynn. Please consider it. Well done.
Rating: Summary: Light Hearted and Loving Review: I love Lynn Kurland's writing style in this book. There is plenty of humor. I really enjoy a romance novel where the hero and heroine have more harmony between them than conflict. This novel definitely provides. Conflict between the two is talked out soon. If you enjoy Jayne Ann Krentz books, I guarantee you'll fall in love with this one... It is a wonderful, fun book; one of my favorites that a reread every year.
Rating: Summary: Soooooooo Predictable! Review: The premise of this book was so promising...but it's so predictable and formulaic, I found it almost annoying. The book alternates between the unbelievable - ghosts that hire lawyers, wear jeans and watch football - and the contrived. The romance is heavy-handed and drippy. Don't bother.
