Summary: A good book but...
Review: I don't think they should classify this book as a romance novel...There is no love scenes in this book. It's a good book. Great story. I reccommend reading it, but if you are looking for romance this isn't the book for you.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Talk about TRUE LOVE!!
Review: How can you go wrong with a girl who has been horribly abused by her father (the one person who should be protecting and loving her) yet is rescued by a friend of her dead brother who happens to have the worst reputation as a warlock in the country?

They fall in love over time for all the right reasons!! No beautiful girl and perfect man here, but a meeting of bodies, minds and best of all, souls (which have been wounded by previous events)!!!

If you are looking for hot sex scenes, then this book (or author for that matter) is NOT for you (try a Virginia Henley book for that). I love an author who can create a GREAT story without having to fill pages with steamy sex!!! In my opinion, it proves a greater talent at story telling when the author creates a book just as long and entertaining as any other novel, but doesn't have to resort to sex just to fill the mandatory number of pages!!

I have read this book at least 4 times (and will read it again), and enjoy it as much as the first time I read it. Lynn Kurland is the BEST story teller in this genre!! This is coming from a woman who has been reading Historical Romances for 20 years and has a personal library of over 400 books!

Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has helped you!!!

Summary: One of the best and I've read 'em All
Review: If you enjoy Lynn Kurland's normal time travel romances you will definitely enjoy this one. While you may find Gillian a bit testy at times, Kurland builds the story to make you appreciate both characters. Christopher is another hero worth reading and this is not like other romance novels on the shelf. You'll refuse to lend this one to your friends for fear you'll never get it back!

Summary: A Truly Touching Tale
Review: All I can say is that I just oohed and ahhed thru practically this entire book! This was just so tender, and so heart wrenchingly sweet that I couldnt help myself that and the tears for such tender scenes of love and thanksgiving that two tortured souls could find each other to love and heal.

Gillian of Warwick, physically and mentally abused by her most hateful and brutal father was to be married to the Dragon of Blackmour. Having heard the tales of his devil Gillian would have remained with the beast that was her father had not the knight sent to retrieve her given her any choice.

Christopher, the Dragon of Blackmour, had no more need of a wife, but had pledged his word of honor to his friend, her deceased brother, that he would take care of her to save her from the beast that was her father. Christopher had loved once, fully and foolishly, and had no more desire to repeat a mistake that had cost him so very much but he was honor bound to keep his pledge. Christophers pledge along with a little bit of help from a few witches would finally enable them to be able to live one of the most powerful and sensitive love stories I have had the pleasure to read in a very long time.

The secondary characters are brilliantly portrayed and add a lushness and wonderful humor to this tale from the inept witches, fierce knights with teddy bear hearts, and loyal friends who make this story so much more than just another run of the mill romance. There was just so much more to savor with the less than perfect hero and heroine, with everything that they had to overcome, that like me, I am sure you will be oohing and ahhing with a handy box of tissues by your side as well. Most definitely this one is for my keeper shelf.
