Summary: Clayton not a model character
Review: I read this book a second time around and I found some problems. Frankly I think Clayton was too controlling and a little deranged. I couldn't see the love between Whitney and Clayton. Why would she fall in love with this character. I cannot understand why Whitney would fall for this man. Forget for now the fact that he rapes her, but he doesn't trust her after their marriage. The ending didn't leave me feeling warm and cozy. Frankly I couldn't see a "they lived happily ever after" all I could see was more stupid misunderstandings that aren't discussed and assumptionss are made. And the rape scene does bother me. It wasn't necessary and it further adds to my disgust of Clayton. I wish McNaught would stop writing about characters that arre tall dark handsome and rich and stopped using the misunderstanding formula over and over again. There is so much readers can bare.

Summary: My favorite revisited
Review: Okay, so I guess I'm a little biased. I've read the original version three times already and couldn't keep my hands off the new version.

In 1820 the Duke of Claymore falls for a "nobody" beautiful Whitney Stone. Realizing that her uncle is turning down every offer, he goes to her father and pays a fortune to become betrothed to her. Whitney is mortified, she's already in love with someone else. As Clayton's luck would have it, things don't work out too well with Whitney's first love and he finds Whitney in his arms.

Oh how I love this book! This book is so wonderful. The new version has several added chapters that, while charming, could have been easily left out.

Summary: Fantastic***
Review: Whitney My Love was my first historical roamance. It will always be my favorite. I was so excited she came out with it in hardback for my collection, I had to have it. I thank her for not changing the story line and just adding to it, because I would have been disappointed if it was changed. Anyone who can't get passed the so called abuse in this book, which by the way was probly alot worse than what he did to her, is missing out on an excellent love story. Right after I reread this book for my second time I picked up Until You and read it from front to back in a weekend. And enjoyed it more the second time. Her books are keepers, I wouldn't trade them for anything. Thank-You JM and keep up the great work. I will always by your books. Give us many more historicals, you have a wonderful gift!

Summary: good book. why the rape?
Review: i love judith mcnaught's books and this one is very good but it is a little dark. the fact that clayton, the so called hero, beat her, raped her and constatnly ordered her about bothered me. i understaned that this is a certine time periode and blah, blah, blah but i think that the dominince was over done more than just a little. i like my heros arragant and dominant but clayton was just to controlling. I also think that the rape scene should be taken out or whitney shouldn't have accepted it. rape is not permissable in any context. heros do not do something as horrible as rape. i am not just talking about this book but any book in which the hero rapes the heroine. I began reading romance when i was twelve and i don't think that the mesage that we should be sending young girls is that rape is ok. i know i come across as vemenant but the thought that in a book rape would be permissable outrages me. as i said before i love judith mcnaught and if it wern't for clayton's constant domination and whitney's aquiesence this would be a good book.

Summary: This is a fantastic book!
Review: This is one of Ms. McNaught's best books, but it's not NEW - it was originally released about 15 years ago. I've re-read it several times over the years, and I still enjoy it. It's a keeper!

Summary: BEST LAUGH OUT LOUD, CRY OPENLY, SMILE INSIDE BOOK EVER!
Review: This is possibly the #1 book in my life. My husband just sits and watches me when I read this book (which is at least twice a year) He says a book with that much emotion is quite a seller. So even he read it. I can't say enough about the love in this book. Headstrong, Whitney, Stubborn Clayton, who would not want to be in love in this book. A must read for any romantic at heart. Judith McNaught is phenomenal.

Summary: A book worth reading
Review: Although it was not as great as Something Wonderful and Once and Always but its worth reading although it was a bit of a drag where Clayton kept denying that she was the love of his life but other than that it was good.

Summary: the all time greatest romance novel
Review: I read this book for the first time years ago. It is by far the greatest romance novel of all times. I am so glad to see it back in print for others to discover.

Summary: The book is a wonderfuly well written romantic story.
Review: Judith McNaught is one of my favorite romance writers and I was thrilled when Whitney,My Love was released in hardback. She did a wonderful job taking the story deeper and explaining the situation of other important characters. I was very enjoyable to reread a story that is so dear to my heart. I recommend this book to any romance reader that enjoys being swept away and actually feeling as if you are apart of the story that you are reading. I egerily await Ms. McNaught's next novel.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: I thought the books was wonderful. Things were tense at times but Clayton finally realized what an #/@ he could be and realized that Whitney did love him. Clayton often jumped to conclusions without giving Whitney a chance to defend or explain her actions. There were times when those 'actions' were imagined by Clayton. I wanted to hate him at times, but in the end I think I loved him even more.
