Review: HAVING JUST FINISED THIS BOOK I AM LOOKING FOR SIMILAR BOOKS LIKE THIS ONE. I ENJOYED VERRY MUCH AND WAS NEVER BORED AS JOE BECAME THE MAN MANY WOMEN LOOK FOR AND LIVVIE BECAME AN INSPIRATION TO ALL TO SEEK YOUR DREAMS AGAINST ALL ODDS. GREAT READING AND WILL READ MORE OF GINNA GRAY.

Summary: Expected better from this author.
Review: I could not wait to get this book and it started great but then it got so that I could not even finish it. Which says a lot because usually I stick them out. It started to be bad when they went on their first date and conceived the child. We know why Olivia did it but we never knew why Joe did it. It was never explained (she even said that he never noticed her while growing up - then why would he just make love to her on a first date?) Does not seem like hero material to me. Did he just take what was offered? Maybe it was revealed later (but I did not read on) It was very predictable (mother did not like daughter-in law and behaved typically) Also there were too many obstacles and none was developed. The ghost, the sister, the mother, the mother-in law, great great etc grandson of the ghost. Too many things happening to Olivia for one to keep track of. Anyway, given the fact that I don't write (I only read) I commend the effort but I was a little disappointed. It could have been a great story.

Summary: PALE MOON RISING
Review: In the Savannah area Joe Connally married pregnant Olivia "Livvie" Jones because he felt it was the right thing to do. However, when Olivia miscarried, both mutually agreed that they no longer had a reason to remain married and simply dissolved the contract. Joe moved on, but besides nursing the hurt of losing her child, Olivia's was heart broken, as she loved her spouse.

Fourteen years later, though the architect is Joe, interior designer, Olivia wins the bid to work the highly desirable restoration of Mallenegua, a massive stone mansion located on South Carolina barrier Mallen Island. With no child except perhaps the mansion between them, Joe should easily walk away again as his family led by his haughty mother Eleanore wants him to do. This time he realizes what he lost when he left and wants Olivia back as his wife forever. Olivia still loves Joe, but cannot trust him with her heart as he deserted her when she needed him most, but soon will need to have faith in him as danger mounts from a potentially lethal plot.

Aside from the mom from hell that just seems off kilter, fans will enjoy reading this second chance at love suspense thriller. The story line focuses on Joe's efforts to prove that this time he will stay forever though his beloved doubts him and his mother leading their family wants him to avoid Olivia. A threat that leaves Olivia in danger seems unnecessary except for enabling Joe to have a chance at confirming he will be there for her. Still fans will appreciate this tale as Olivia must depend on a man distrusts with her heart.
