Rating: Summary: I'll carry Grant's backpack anyday! Review: MIDNIGHT RAINBOW has to be one of my favorite of LH's works. Grant is so sexually magnectic that he makes my knees weak! He is definitely an in-charge kind of man and doesn't hesitate to say exactly what he wants and means to do. Jane is a very formidable half to Grant's character. You can actually see this romance take life and work. They are perfect for one another. Wait a minute... I would be a great jungle chick, too! HA! Once he finally gets her where he wants her, he doesn't let a moment slip by where they can feed their jungle fever for one another! You will enjoy this jungle romp, because beside all of the great sex you get two highly intelligent and workable people thrown together where they would not more than likely ever have even wanted to meet one another in the first place. MR isn't a silly story where you feel like they should be more interested in saving their lives than making love. Grant definitely protects Jane. Like LH says, 'Grant's a lean, mean, fighting-machine'! Enjoy! It's a great read! I would also recommend AFTER THE NIGHT by Howard. Wow! Drool-drool!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite Linda Howard novels Review: Midnight Rainbow is a non-stop combination of danger and romance. The strength of both characters is very appealing. The fact that Jane wasn't waiting around for someone to resuce her is great! The tenderness that Grant shows for Jane is touching. The combination of danger, romance and suspence is addicting and Linda Howard does it better than anyone. Whether it's Jane and Grant's story in Midnight Rainbow, Rachel and Kell's story in Diamond Bay or Barrie and Zane's story in Mackenzie's Pleasure. You're sucked in from the first page and can't let go. The heroines are strong, smart, independant women and the men live by their own code where honor is all. I'd be hard pressed to decide which of her novels I like best, I have several and reread them all.
Rating: Summary: Tarzan and Jane in the jungle..... Review: My second Linda Howard book. Not as good as Son of the Morning, but not bad. Jane is a strong feminine character who has some human qualities that keep her from being too perfect a heroine. Grant seems the typical hero though... My problem with the book is how neatly everything tied up at the end. In less than a page Grant is reunited with family who hasn't heard him laugh in 20 years. It was still an enjoyable read, the sex was steamy and the sparks flew. Isn't that what romance is all about?
Rating: Summary: One to keep and re-read Review: One of my personal favourites by Linda Howard. Characterisation is great, Jane is really likeable, Grant is the strong southern hero type and despite being so different you could see how they both could end up together. Quich plot summary: Adventure in the jungle, lots of action, slimy bad guy, some laugh a loud moments and a sizzling chemistry between two total opposites makes this a great read. Treat yourself.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: Story Summary: Grant Sullivan is hired to find Jane Greer, who has been kidnapped. Once he rescues her from the bad guys they travel through the jungle where they become lovers. She falls in love with him while he tries to fight the same feelings. There is some suspenseful moments since this is somewhat a spy verses spy book. Now to why I liked the book. First, Grant was great. He was rough and demanding but hey, he had to be to keep them alive. Second, Jane was great. She was strong but always kept a sense of humor. I loved her bag of tricks that she kept. Typical woman. I didn't like the end that much. It was rather hokey but it didn't take away from the story. Also this is where you first meet Kell Sabin, who will have his own story in Diamond Bay. I recommend you buy this book first, then Diamond Bay, then Heartbreaker (because that is the sequal to Diamond Bay) and then White Lies (which also features Kell Sabin). A very good read if you can find this book.

Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK! Review: This book was excellent. I read it over and over, from cover to cover like it was the first time.
Rating: Summary: A sexy jungle romp Review: This is one of My favorite Linda Howard books. Blonde, tigerish Grant was a nice change from the usual dark haired heroes in LH romances. I just fell in love with him from page one, and Jane was perfect for him...a smart, self-reliant kind of gal. The story moves briskly, and there is a nice balance between action and romance. I was SO glad to see Grant and Jane again in "Midnight Rainbow" where they appear to help out the imperiled Rachel and Kell.
Rating: Summary: Warning! Linda Howard is Addictive Review: This was the first Linda Howard book I read, and it was sooooo good, it sent me combing through used book stores and garage sales looking for her out of print books. This was also the book that introduced me to paperback romances, and began my search for other authors as good as Howard (alas, there are very, very few). I'd always enjoyed romance, but had never ventured beyond Anya Seton, M.M. Kaye, the Bronte sisters, Jane Austin, Georgette Heyer, Margaret Mitchell, Jan Cox Speas, etc. Obviously, there was a finite number of these books, which led me to set aside assumption and try pulp fiction. I'm glad I did because some of it (like "Midnight Rainbow") is wonderful fun. Thank you, Miss Howard, for hours of pure reading pleasure. I just wish I could find several of your equals, or failing that, I wish you could write a bit faster.
