Rating: Summary: A Knight in Shining Armor Review: My two sister's and I love this book. Its the only book that I make sure to read once a year. I read a lot of books but this is the only one that keeps me coming back.It makes me laugh and it makes me cry.Its a book that just takes me away. After you read it, buy it for a friend. It's so funny how the taste of food is even new to Nicholas Stafford his like a child just learning new things. But it keeps you going when she's transported in time and has to start all over again with him. The ending surprised me but I don't know how else it could have ended. I think it would make a great movie.
Rating: Summary: Romantic - Endearing - Entertaining Review: I reluctantly started to read this book after a co-worker loaned it to me and said that I would love it. Well, I have to tell you that this is probably one of the best love stories that I have ever read. It is every woman's fantasy. You will thoroughly enjoy this story, I promise you that.
Rating: Summary: The Best of the Best Review: This book is one of my favorite time travel books. I loved the unrealistic plot and the realistic characters. Dougless is on a trip through England with her boyfreind, who she hopes to marry, and his bratty and spoiled daughter Gloria. During the trip she is ditched in a graveyard and left weeping and asking for a knight in shining armor, and she gets one. Nicholas has been sent to her through time to solve a life or death mystery. What will happen while these two star crossed lovers are searching for the answers? I can't tell because that wouldn't be very fun now would it. But I can tell how much I loved Nicholas, who was handsome, intelligent, and considerate. Dougless annoyed me at first because she let people walk all over her, but she grew a lot during the story and learned her own worth. The end of the book was so moving I cried. At first I was disappointed but then it grew on me, I think. Also, Nicholas's fascination with modern appliances and other things made me appreciate the things I take for granted, such as daily showers and dishwashers. This book is definetely a charmer and a great read.

I also stayed awake into the wee hours of the morning (as other reviewers stated) to finish this. I "felt" this book for days after I finished it!!!!

Rating: Summary: Time travel? A great plot! Review: This book was so interesting from front to end, i couldn't put it down. Each page makes you wonder about the next... I finished this book all in one night... I was yawning at work the next day. So I suggest, reading it during the day or when you don't have to work the next day. So far, It is one of the most intriguing love story I have ever read. At first, I didn't think I would enjoy time travel plot but as I read along, I got more into it. This book was amazingly written and described. It makes you feel as if you are inside the book itself. There were lots of funny scenes, Nicholas thoughts and ways of adjusting to the 19th century makes me laugh so hard yet I feel sorry for him too. Same reaction for Dougless when she went back t the 16th century. Dougless morning shower is what i like the best. The romance is very well written under such circumstances. However, I wished Dougless ended up with the Earl of Thornwyck's (Nicholas) descendants. That would really show that insensitive ex fiancee of hers. Overall, a rate the book a 10.
Rating: Summary: One of my all-time favorite romances Review: Alone in a foreign country with no identification or money, Dougless is weeping at an ancient tomb when suddenly a knight appears. Dougless helps the bewildered man search history books for the traitor who had him executed in 1564. When the knight suddenly falls back into his own time and Dougless realizes his execution was carried out, she wills herself into the 16th century to solve the mystery of his betrayal. While I was initially annoyed with having to start the romance all over in the middle of the book (when Dougless goes back in time, our hero doesn't know her), I stuck with it, and eventually I was glad I did. The ending was so charming, so lovely, that I forgave Deveraux for bringing the book to a screeching halt in the middle. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: it deserves a 10! Review: this book was the second I have read of Jude Deveraux's many books. it made me wish that things like this was possible. dougless montegomery was lonely, with out a penny and in a strange country, all she ever wanted was love and family. hearing her cries, nicholas stafford came forward from the long ago to make her realize that love can survive beyong all means. this is a truly amazing book. i cried, i laughed, i read it over 3 times! it is the one book that actually stood out in my mind after i have read it. enjoy this book, it is really the cream of the crop.
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Romantic Time Travel Books Ever! Review: I bought this book and another book called "Outlander" around the same time. Boy, was I lucky I just picked this one out of the clear blue sky. This book is one of the absolute best stories out there. It had me laughing and crying, hoping for the best for the 2 main characters. (and the love scenes weren't half bad either!). Thank you Jude Deveraux!
