Rating: Summary: YOU'LL LOVE IT! A book to read over and over and over... Review: Lori Foster was a new author to me and this is the first of her books I bought and read. Liked the title, thought what the heck. Was I surprised. WOW!In 99.9% of all "romance novels" the lead heroine is PERFECT. Cute, petite, so on and so forth. Like most American women, GRACE could be a real person who lives next door. She's not perfect, doesn't see herself as a 10. Sort of attrative, but a little overweight or so she see's herself. She's got some confidence but is naiive and a novice where affairs are concerned. You and I could be friends with her. Her love for Noah is believeable. And TA-DA she finds herself involved with him -- but only a sexual affair - no strings. HA! Yea, Right! There's some conflict, of course! Noah's Grandmother is a pill but not really mean. Noah's ex-fiance has a secret she's keeping from everyone...Noah knows it, Grace knows part of it...you may guess. Noah's brother is a honey and you'll want to know more about him...believe me. Did Lori write a book about him?? I hope so. Its very well written and BELIEVEABLE (something I always long for in fiction - and rarely find.)Depressed...read this book. Feeling out of sorts...READ THIS BOOK. THANK YOU LORI FOSTER!!
Rating: Summary: Lori has done it again......... Review: Unlike most romance novels, this book does not make you wait til the book is halfway or even 3/4 ways through before the couple gets together. Noah, Grace and even brother Ben are people that you would love to know, and be friends with. Once again Lori has not disappointed me. As far as i am concerned she is by far the best 'Erotic Romance Author' that I have ever read!! Her descriptions of the love making make it so real and intimate, i have never read another authors book that could compare with her style. It is perfect!! Ben's story "Never Too Much" will be out in October...
Rating: Summary: The not-so-thin woman gets the hunk. Hallelujah! Review: I really enjoyed the chemistry between Grace and Noah. Grace was a virgin, but not a wimp, especially when it came to defending Noah against his grandmother (who's also her boss). She's nurturing and self-conscious about her figure, but Noah doesn't care about that. To him, she is beautiful, and he comes to realize that maybe he's subconsciously wanted her in his life for the past few years. Noah, without a doubt, is a hunk of the first order, and so is his brother, Ben. After breaking off his engagement, Noah only wants a sexual relationship, and Grace, who's always loved him, readily agrees. But as time goes on, he becomes more protective of Grace, especially when she goes to work for Ben. This story had great sensuality, but also lots emotion --as we peel away the layers of Noah's personality -- and humor (the scene where Grace is interpreting Spanish for Noah's ex is especially funny). I highly enjoyed the book and I wish Ms. Foster would do a story for Ben!
Rating: Summary: Big Girls, Oh My! Review: I have been a fan of Lori Foster's since I came across a earlier Harlequin she wrote titled 'Taken'. I generally pass romance novels along to my friends after I read them because many of them I don't care to read more than once. I shared 'Taken' with a friend of mine in Texas and she didn't send it back to me fast enough so I went out and hunted a copy down in a used bookstore and it will never leave my library again. That's the way I felt about Too Much Temptation, reading this book was well worth my wait, even though it seemed like it took FOREVER, to get to me. I ripped it out of the cardboard shipping package and sat down and started reading and couldn't put it down! I ain't loaning this one out any time soon. As a full figured woman, I have been gradually getting really TIRED of the willowy blonds, sweet redheads, and saucy brunettes that can fit through the eye of a sewing needle soak and wet! So, I started searching the net for books that had more meat to them, pardon the pun, and let me tell you that they are few and far between! Foster's character Grace was not a size two, and she didn't let us forget it, and she didn't let Noah forget it either. I could relate to Grace in so many ways, confident about her professional life, while recognizing that she didn't 'fit in' when it came to her own desires. After all the media out there tells us that headboard bangin', shoutin' back scratching dang good sex, can only be had by the 5,7,9's of the world, right along with sexy underware, bright teeth fresh breath, and a great time on a cruise ship can only be had if you look like Ms. Paltrow. NOT! Miss Grace and Noah broke the bed on that stereotype! Bravo! I thought the book was refreshing, sexy, very sexy, did I mention sexy? With a little kink thrown in for good measure and I liked it even more. Thank you Lori!
Rating: Summary: Fluff! Pure and simple. Review: O.K., I knew going in that this is not suppose to be great literature. I was willing to give Ms. Foster another try. After reading, or rather trying to slog through one of the Buckhorn brothers books, I still fail to see any depth to the writing or characters. Humor? Not. The only thing refreshing was the heroine. She was not a size 2, as we kept being reminded. The problem I had with this book is the same problem I have had with the other two books I have read by this author. After writing so many books, her writing style and storylines are still eratic and dull. If you want a truly sensual and funny book by an author who can write, try Rachel Gibson's Truly, Madly, Yours. Or better yet, Welcome To Temptation by Jennifer Crusie. Now that is writing. For the price of this book, it should have been a catgegory.
Rating: Summary: REALLY SEXY BOOK Review: If you like books with humor, sex, and real live women, you'll love this book. This book was a refreshing change from books featuring waif-thin heroines. This heroine could have been your next door neighbor, but it certainly didn't detract form the hot moments in the book. A really good read, I couldn't put down.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: I had never heard of Lori Foster before and reviews appealed to me. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. There was a great story line and some great scenes. There was enough character development to want more, to feel disappointed when the author would fall back on cliches and trite phrases. I couldn't understand why Gracie would allow her employer to abuse her verbally without walking away. When she did walk away from the job, she continued to take grief. I loved the fact that the heroine was not model thin and she did go after her dream guy. I'd like to read other books by Lori Foster as there was enough good writing in the book to make me think that she could be one of the best romance novelists. But she could benefit from a better editor as the grammatical mistakes were jarring.
Rating: Summary: Love this Book! Review: I not reading anything by Lori Foster I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Like it? I LOVED this book. If was very refreshing to read a book where the main female character wasn't a size 2 or trying to be one. If you are looking for a night full of romance check out Lori Foster.
Rating: Summary: No One Does It Better Than Lori Foster! Review: "Too Much Temptation" by Lori Foster was a tempting treat! I loved the story so much I didn't want to put to down until after I had finished the entire book it was that good!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic - kept me laughing and sighing. Review: Lori Foster managed to take a woman that normally, a half-baked regular guy wouldn't look at twice and turn her into one of the most beautiful, sensual women there ever was. She did it with humor and class and I simply loved this book. Too good to pass up. I also read a great book, The Color of Revenge. Hot, hot, hot.
