Rating: Summary: A flabby, listless love story Review: Didn't Wally lamb wear out this concept in She's Come Undone already? I'm a Lane Bryant girl married to a Big & Tall man and I have had a loving, yes passionate, romance going for 11 years . . . and things aren't bad between my husband and I either . . . so what's the big deal about writing a Harlequin romance novel that doesn't have Fabio and Elle Mc Pherson on the cover? That said, this book was so poorly written; a bad copy of Nora Roberts style, and dialogue that was just too conversational. This was my second--- and last--- Lori Foster novel.
Rating: Summary: TOO MUCH TEMPTATION is a keeper! Review: Lori Foster has penned a novel of hidden passions, family strife, and a wealth of sensuality that will keep readers enthralled. Noah Harper has been named the heir apparent by his paternal grandmother, and though she has him practicing his counting skills as he prays for patience, he loves her and tries to please her. It just seems right that he marry the daughter of his Grandmother's dearest friends. Though Noah and Kara aren't in love, when he breaks off the engagement, and won't reveal why, he's put through the ringer by his Grandmother and many mutual acquaintances. Noah's brother Ben sticks by him, and it seems he's the only one who believes that if Noah broke things off, he must've had a darn good reason. There is one other who comes to Noah's defense, however: His grandmother's assistant, Grace Jenkins. A bit on the plump side, and curved in all the right places, Grace has been in love with Noah since she was hired on. She works for his grandmother, she is a good girl, and thinking his future was sewn up with Kara, Noah never allowed himself to lust for the ever efficient Grace. Never, that is, until she stands up for him, simply because she believes in him (and her heart wouldn't love a scoundrel). He has no idea of her true feelings, but when he tells her he wants a relationship based solely on sex and nothing more, her quiet, "okay", throws Noah for a loop. Noah jokingly calls her his "little sex slave", but when Grace's insecurities about her weight and her worth surface, he reminds her of their agreement, and that his desire for her can't be faked. He wants HER luscious body, and is possessive if any man even glances in her direction. Can Noah keep it simple and take what she offers without complicating matters? He pretends that her staunch defense of him is tedious; he can fight his own battles, but there are worse things than having Grace Jenkins as his champion. And Grace sticks to the arrangement; just sex, no commitment, as if it's set in stone. Being Noah's plaything and available for his pleasure is one thing, but even dreaming that he'd feel more than that for her is beyond her wildest fantasies. She's afraid to risk her heart wanting more. Will Grace and Noah admit what's developing between them more than just sex? Noah's grandmother plots and scheme's to tear them apart and reunite Noah with Kara. Will she ever realize that family is more important than social standing and getting her way? TOO MUCH TEMPTATION is in true Foster form. It's filled with humor, honor, family ties, and a sensuality that reveals that even a hard, prideful man can be a hero, and a woman doesn't have to be a supermodel to be beautiful, alluring, and desirable. Another winner from this author who turns lust to love and pens a sensual, passionate tale. Applause!
Rating: Summary: OK, but not great.... Review: This is the first book I've read by this author, I picked it up because of all the wonderful reviews and the sequel being released, but ended up missing what others seem to find so great. This is a quick, undemanding read, but there is certainly a lot better out there. While the language is a bit "earthier" than you'll find in a Nora Roberts/Susan Elizabeth Phillips, the romance was less and the characters/plot line practically undeveloped. Much is being written about Grace not being a "skinny girl", but you're never really sure if she is large, or only large compared to super-models. I mean, if her Dr says she's OK weight for her size (which she says he does), then is she really an over-weight person, or just tremendously insecure? And why does she only become attractive to other males after Noah has had intamacy with her? I give this 3 stars because it is readable and cute, but I won't be recommending this author to others.
Rating: Summary: Not so tempting.... Review: Tempting?...NO! Romantic? ...Not in my opinion! Great Story? Absolutely NOT a great story! Ok so everyone is cheering this author because she chose a average sized woman to lead the role. I am sorry but, she didn't succeed. She never enhanced the characters. As far as the big girl getting the guy...He wasn't too impressed from my standpoint. He never showed love, desire or any other emotion for that matter. This is a disappointing tale. What a poorly written book. I am not sure how this is getting rave reviews. The characters are undefined, the storyline is weak and lacking and not to mention stupid and completely boring. The Author never shows the depth of attraction between these two characters. The story line was never developed. I wish the Author took more time to create the love between Noah and Gracie. There was No romance, no sizzle, no storyline. No content whatsoever. I read all the reviews for this and I just cannot see what is so HOT! about this book. I had to force myself to pick up the book to read through it.
Rating: Summary: my first Lori Foster book and certainly not my last! Review: I was very pleased with this book. I really grew to like Grace Jenkins and was happy with the outcome of the book. Although, the sexual encounters were quite explicit, there was still a story/plot behind it all. I would recommend this book to anyone and I've just ordered some of her other books. I'm starting the Winston Brothers today!

Rating: Summary: Big Girls Can Find Love Review: I really enjoy Lori Foster's books and stories. Noah is one of those rare men who knows what he wants and is not afraid of telling the woman involved with him. Grace is insecure about the way she looks. Noah knows how to put her fears to rest. The both have a wonderful sexually that binds them together. I wish that all men were as willing to look beyond the size or the face to see the person.
Rating: Summary: Lori Foster Scores a "10" Review: Curiosity about what my wife and mother-in-law found so fascinating motivated me to read my first romance novel. I've been hooked for over 10 years now, and have read countless books, but of all these only a few really stand out; Lori Foster's Too Much Temptation is definitely such a read. I found this book enjoyable because the characters, Grace and Noah, were so believable and so real. It was unusual in that Grace is an atypical romance novel heroine, she's a full-figured woman somewhat lacking in confidence and overly conscious about body image. While Grace may not have been the lithe model type that society tells us is an ideal, she is supportive and loyal when Noah encounters troubles with a cheating fiancée and a grandmother who is supportive of her. Loyalty, support, and caring - more than a size 6 dress size - is what it's really about, and Noah finds himself increasingly attracted to Grace. Noah does try to fight his amorous feelings but his love for her builds as does the fire so typical of a Lori Foster book. This is a great book that I couldn't put down. I couldn't help but root for Grace and enjoyed seeing her character develop in confidence and in the realization that she was on par with any other woman by any measure. One anticipates the outcome as a sexual relationship builds to so much more. As a man this book validates what men know but, unfortunately, due to societal stereotypes, might not readily admit: a woman's real attraction comes from within... I've known many women who weren't models, but who were - and are! - tremendously sexy! Grace Jenkins is just such a woman...
