Rating: Summary: Real men like voluptuous women Review: It's nice to read about a man who can handle a whole lot of woman, and make her feel beautiful. There is nothing wrong with by a big sexy babe, total sex slave to someone you love...just as Grace is to Noah. What was really nice was how the author points out that Noah had been noticing Grace for a while. Noah is not intimidated or or turned off by Grace's voluptuous figure. In fact, he aroused by it. Noah makes her feel beautiful, and even uses the "tough love" act of not letting her say anything negative about herself. Another great point was when the author points out that not only did other men look at Grace in a lustful way, but how the truly beautiful person she is, inside and out, made people respond to her. I like that Noah gets a little jealous and possessive about Grace, and how Grace listens to her heart. This gets two thumbs up.
Rating: Summary: GREAT READ! Review: THIS BOOK WAS A GREAT READ. I LOVE THE MAIN CHARACTERS. THE BOOK HAS A LOT OF HEART AND I LOVE HOW GRACE(A 100+ POUND HEROINE, FOR ONCE)COMES OUT OF HER SHELL AND I LIKE HER AND NOAH TOGETHER. I DID HAVE TWO PROBLEMS WITH THE BOOK, HOWEVER-THE CHARACTERS OF AGATHA AND KARA. AGATHA IS NOAH'S GRANDMOTHER AND VERY SET IN HER WAYS. SHE WANTS EVERYTHING TO GO HER WAY AND WHEN IT DOESN'T, SHE ACTS LIKE A TWO YEAR OLD, MINNUS THE KICKING AND SCREAMING. KARA IS NOAH'S FIANCEE UNTIL HE CATCHES HER "IN THE ACT." THEY BREAK OFF THE ENGAGEMENT, AGATHA AND KARA'S FAMILY BELIEVING KARA THE VICTIM. KARA IS AFRAID TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT; SPINELESS WIMP THAT SHE IS. THEY BOTH TURN OUT OK AT THE END, BUT STILL BUGGED ME. OVERALL,GOOD STORY... GO OUT AND BUY IT!!
Rating: Summary: Hackneyed Review: Three reasons I rated this read only 2 stars:1. The primary female character wasn't nearly fleshed-out enough before she was thrown, rather unceremoniously, into bed with the primary male character. Throughout the book it was as if I was perpetually reading an introduction to Grace Jenkins--I never got a chance to get to know her. 2. It seems as if the author took from something else she'd read a single theme that inspired her and turned it into a 150+ page thought, a thought that was underdeveloped (Ms. Foster tends to think faster than she types) and overdone. 3. The author's attempt at a unique storyline is evident here but never quite gets its wings and flies, being bogged down in trite rhetoric--tragic. I purchased this book, and now want my money back. I highly recommend Susan Donovan's "Knock Me Off My Feet" instead of this book any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Rating: Summary: A Fun Romance Review: If you are looking for a fun, romantic novel with at least a marginally plausible plot, here is your novel. I find so many of these romances have the protagonists doing really silly things all in the name of advancing the plot, but in this enjoyable novel, they actually behave rationally and the story does not suffer for it. The story of Grace and Noah is a breezy, quick read. You've got your steam, your romance, your humor and your story--all packaged in a well-written, well-paced romance. Enjoy,
Rating: Summary: An Average-sized heroine! Unique! Outstanding! Review: A first for me! A romance book with a real life heroine! Sound impossible? I thought so too until I read it! The heroine, Grace, is pleasingly plump and shy and can't fathom why a gorgeous guy like Noah Harper, 6'4 with rock-hard abs and muscles, not to mention black hair and penetrating blue eyes would take notice in her. Noah, seeing shy Grace as a very sexy and curvy woman without much confidence in herself sets to make her feel like the gorgeous and voluptuous woman she is. The problem? He can't detach the unbelievable sex from the intense emotions he is feeling for her. Begun as a way of forgetting his ex fiancee's dalliance with another man and moving on, Noah, former badboy, now reformed by his grandmother to be a well dressed businessman sees his grandmother's secretary as a challenge. Grace doesn't see it coming and is too late when the badboy sets his sights on her. Nearly causing a scandal in the small southern town, they heat up the pages and set a firestorm of gossip and anger that will leave you turning the pages for more! Can a little pact for fun and sex turn into something more? Can two friends walk away in the end with their hearts intact? Whew, unbelievable and outstanding, my first from Ms. Foster and DEFINITELY not my last!!! Kudos to an author who is brave enough to write about a heroine that is true to life and feels good about herself. So refreshing to see a gorgeous hero in a book take notice of the wallflower and make her feel sexy and gorgeous and like the real woman she is. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, thanks Ms. Foster!!! The sequel to this book is 'Never Too Much,' Noah's brother's story. Tracy Talley~@
Rating: Summary: Fantasy worth hoping to come true... Review: Lori Foster thank you for making an unbelievably wonderful read! I couldn't put it down and didn't. Read it twice in two days. Noah is a man's man, his brother, Ben, too. Grace is so sweet and lovable and so worthy of a man like Noah. Maybe a fantasy romance novel, but it is one worth hoping for. This one I am keeping and sharing only with a select few. Of course only under my surveillance! LOL Thank you again Lori. Can't wait to read about Ben's search for love in Never Too Much. Keep up the awesome work. You definitely left an impression on me.
Rating: Summary: Gorgeous in Every Respect Review: I'm not an easily-pleased reader. I'm not satisifed with shallow characters or wishy-washy writing styles, and I rarely comment on a book unless I either passionately hated it or passionately loved it. This baby I loved. It was so rich! The character developement was SO strong that I'd bonded with Grace within a few paragraphs of meeting her. Noah wasn't quite as strong, but let's just say I could see what Grace saw in him. And the sex? Romance novels don't excite me since I've been reading them for so long, but I couldn't believe how steamy this was! The plot was hardly mind-bending but really the poetic writing style and your affection for the characters will carry you through that and you'll be sorry to say goodbye to them at the end.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Read Review: I loved this book!! It was great from beginning to end. Grace and Noah made a great couple. I wish there was a part 2 to this book other than Ben's story. This was my first Lori Foster book and I have read a few more since and have loved them all.
Rating: Summary: A Complete Flop Review: If you don't mind stories loaded with clichés and dull-witted one-dimensional characters you might like this book. As for me, it's by far the worst in the erotic romance category I've read for years. Why this book bears the subtitle "A Novel of Erotic Romance" remains a mystery to me. There are of course several sexual encounters, but these are boring, stereo-typed and without any imagination, never mind the language. What annoyed me most, however, was the heroine - a twenty-five-year-old and because of her slight overweight continuously embarrassed virgin. Her constant "I-am-so-fat-and-no-one-wants-to-look-at-me-whining runs like a thread through the whole story. Not that I would mind a heroine who for a change does not look like a cover-model - on the contrary. But please let it be one who wears every pound with pride and self-confidence. If you prefer a more sophisticated Erotic Romance try those by Robin Schone or Emma Holly.
Rating: Summary: A Great Boost For The Plus Size Woman Review: I loved it from start to finish. It's nice to read about a man that appreciates a little padding on a woman. I'm not going to tell any of the story because I wouldn't want to spoil it. It has a good story and great sex between the man characters. There are parts that are really sweet and parts that are very hot. I rarely save a book, but this is a keeper for me....if I can get it back from my friends.
