Rating: Summary: Favorite Lori Foster Book so far:) Review: This was my first experience with Lori Foster (even though I discovered since this reading I had several books sitting unread with novellas she'd written in collection style books). I picked up Too Much Tempation at my local bookstore after reading the back cover. I am so thrilled I gave this book a chance. This story is about Noah Harper (Gorgeous, rich and not exactly at the best place in his life romantically, you'll find that out in the book). After an sudden break up with his fiance he is currently enemy number one with his family for having broken the poor girls heart. Problem is there is more to the story than Noah simply breaking her heart, but he remains the gentleman and take the full force of everyone's blame. However, he's feeling jilted and sorry for himself. Now, enter Grace Jenkins (Plump, insecure in her appearance and totally in love with Noah Harper who she worships from afar). Grace is a fun character she knows what she wants, but at times doesn't go about it as she probably should. It's fantastic to find Grace, the non-typical female lead character she's plump as I mentioned and she knows it, I loved that I could relate to her. Her emotions of what someone who isn't a Size 2,4,6 considers when looking for love had me cheering her on! She's funny and her interactions with Noah and his half brother Ben (also gorgeous and single making me eager for the next book Never Too Much) had me laughing at times. After a drunken night ends up with Noah taking her to bed she's hesitant, but willing to see how far he'll take it. Afterall, he is what she's dreamed of for so long. Even if it's only temporary the feeling of being with him is more than she could have imagined. This book is just what I was looking for in a romance with great heat. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen with Grace and Noah. Their chemistry was great and gave me the little emotional tugs a good romance can give it warms you up and lightens your day. Noah's brother Ben is sexy and so funny. The scenes between the three of them together can at times be laugh out loud funny. Grace is the girl I want to win! She's always everyone's best friend and good girl, but with Noah she finally gets the chance to do all the things she only dreamed of before. And Ben loves to flame the fires as he sees that green eyed monster in his brother when he's around Grace. I loved Ben just as much as Noah. These characters really leapt off the page for me and I found myself reading the book so quickly that the same night I finished it I began it again. This would be a perfect book for them to turn into an audio book. I'd love be able to listen to this book while driving or working around the house. Maybe they'll do that someday, it would be worth it! And this book doesn't end at the bedroom door fade out scene, which I am happy to find along with a story I enjoyed. Noah and Grace have heat and Lori Foster does a great job of allowing us behind that door and making it sound wonderful. Now, I'm hooked on Lori Foster I've read several more of her books since this reading. You also must read Never Too Much the sequel to this book. Although, this one is my favorite. Once you finish with Noah and Ben. Check out the Winston Brothers books as well. GO LORI GO!
Rating: Summary: Do Not Resist This Temptation! Review: I really enjoyed reading Lori Foster's TOO MUCH TEMPTATION. It's everything that I would want in a book: funny, sexy and an excellent story. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down. The story revolves around Noah Harper and Grace Jenkins. Noah's grandmother is a loving but tyrannical woman who had decided that Noah should marry a respectful woman that Noah doesn't really love. But he respects his grandmother's wishes until one day when Noah catches his fiancee' in a compromising position. They mutually agree to break off the engagement, but keep the reason a secret and agree that it will appear that Noah was the one who broke it. This angers his grandmother and others, which brings out the protective instincts of Grace. Grace is his grandmother's assistant and is secretly in love with Noah. She will do anything for him, even when he proposes an outlandish idea...to become his sex slave! Noah did not really mean for her to become his sex slave, just that he wanted some hot and sweaty lovemaking. Grace agrees to it easily, thinking if she can't have Noah forever, she can have him for a short time. From this point on, the book becomes hot and steamy. Lori Foster knows how to write some hot sexy love scenes but maintain the romance for a romance book lover. Grace is a full figured woman and thinks that no one could love her for her body. But Noah does! He thinks her lush and full body is just perfect for him. Plus, Grace is so agreeable to the sexy escapades he proposes. She also is a perfect foil for him, as she will put her foot down and Noah finds himself going along with her and the two characters work well together, giving off the sparks that make it a great book. Despite the discussion of Grace being a sex slave to Noah, it is only mentioned by the two as a reason to get together. Grace is not really a sex slave at all. I really enjoyed the story and found it to be fast paced and just enough humor to get me chuckling. It is an enjoyable sexual romp with the humor and romance that should not be missed by readers who like their romance books spicy. Brava to BRAVA for making their first contemporary by Lori Foster. I also cannot wait for the next one in this series by Ms Foster, Ben Badwin's story
Rating: Summary: Too Much Temptation Review: I love this book. I read it in one night, could not put it down. Lori's writing is great, She stays right on the story line, she does not go on and on with all the little details. I have only read 4 of her books and she is know one of my most Fav.
Rating: Summary: HATE THIS BOOK Review: Let me start and tell you don't waste your money on this book. After reading so many good review I bought this book. It turned out to be a complete disappointment. It was so boring! Lori Foster writes like Elizabeth Lowell (writing style in which i really don't care for). They don't write anything worth reading. It was all about sex (yawn). The sex scenes were redundant and there was no chemistry between the hero and heroine. I rather read my college textbook then reading one of her book again. If you want a good book read after the night by linda howard or mirror image by Sandra Brown and forget this book.
Rating: Summary: Lori Foster~YOU GO GIRL!!! Review: There is only one word that kept coming to my mind while reaing TOO MUCH TEMPTATION, that word was WOW! This book deserves a higher sensuality rating than 10. I thought Caught in the Act was good until a friend gave me TMT to read. Grace and Noah were the perfect couple and they sizzled on every page. Just from the eye contact between the two, you knew there would be red hot passion when they came together. Even though Grace was a virgin, she had loved Noah since she first laid eyes on him. Grace wasn't model thin and she thought therefore not perfect, so she never expected Noah to even look at her twice. Boy did she have it wrong. Noah being the man that he was let her know repeatedly and in every way imaginable that he liked her just the way she was, not skinny not fat but beautifully voluptuous and he wanted to taste and experience every inch of her. (pant, pant) This story was not only sexy it was funny. Thanks in part to Noah's equally handsome brother, Ben. Just let me say this, BUY THE BOOK! Once I started, there was no putting it down. There was not a dull page in the entire book! That's right 280 pages of sheer entertainment. Alright Ms. Foster, when are we going to get Ben's story? I can just imagine the type woman to finally capture his eye and his heart. Let it be soon. Okay?
Rating: Summary: Great Brain Twinkie Review: Unlike the reviewers that gave this book 1-2 stars I don't expect my romance novels to be completely plausible. HELLO!! That's why it's called a romance novel. Its not real life, if it was it wouldn't sell. I really liked Noah and the way he found his heart in this book. He started out thinking he knew what he wanted then learned he wanted something else all along. If thats not romance I don't know what is. As for Grace I think her self-esteem was totally realistic because I don't know one woman who has a realistic view of her body. For someone to say that a woman spending the first half of a novel with esteem issues is ridiculous is ridiculous itself because most women spend most of their lives with esteem issues. This is a great book to escape the humdrum of everyday relationships. Noah spends the book talking about Grace's body in a way most women wish their husbands would. Especially after popping out 3 kids and the sleepless nights of a modern lifestyle. The men of the world could take a few lessons about making women of any size feel desirable. They might get a little more if they did. As for Grace I loved her, she was self-less with Noah in a way that I could only wish to attain. She was satisfied with what Noah was willing to give and that is something we could all take as a lesson about happiness in relationships.
Rating: Summary: Not Enough Review: In comparison to "Never Too Much" I was greatly dissapointed. I didn't like Grace's character at all. She seemed to me to have very low self-esteem. She spent the first half of the book whining that she was fat and didn't seem to have any issue letting a man she loved use her for nothing more than sex. Noah's character was better but not much. I thought Noah was boring, my husband is more of a bad boy than him. He was engaged to a woman that his grandmother thought he should be engaged to. The woman wrongs him and he protects her. As for the fling it was pretty much of a yawn.
Rating: Summary: Don't Waste Your Money! Review: This has to be one of the most ridiculous books I have ever read! This was my first Lori Foster book...and it will be my last. The two main characters, Grace and Noah, were very unlikable. This book was labeled a romance but there wasn't any romance, just a lot of casual sex between two people who had nothing in common. So don't waste your money or time on this book.
Rating: Summary: HE MADE HER FEEL BEAUTIFUL Review: There's only one word that can describe Lori Foster's TOO MUCH TEMPTATION and that word is sinful. The book was excellent and I enjoyed reading it from the first page down to the last. The story is about Grace Jenkins. Grace believes herself to be fat and with almost everything she says it directs back to that. She's been some what shy, but always been honest and spoke the truth. She's been secretly in love with her bosses' grandson, Noah, for three years. Noah is engaged to be married to Kara and he walks in on her and the singer at his resturant getting it on. He calls off the engagement and he promised Kara he wouldn't tell why. She didn't want her parents to think less of her. Now, Kara go and cry to her parents and they tell Noah's grandmother, Agatha, that Noah broke their daughter's heart. Now everyone's coming down on Noah, except Grace. She stands up for him and let everyone know that Noah isn't the heartless, cruel person they believe him to be. She believes in him and Noah realizes that no ones's ever did that for him before. Noah also realizes that he wants Grace---badly. They come to an agreement where she'll do anything he wants in the bedroom. In other words, she's his sex slave. Grace thinks all it is is sex, even though she knows she loves him. Noah wants to believe it too, but in his heart he knows it's way more than that. Now the two must come to terms with what they feel and the people who are out to destroy the relationship they have. This book is one of Lori Foster's best and I'm glad I went through hell to borrow it from a friend.
Rating: Summary: Maybe 5 stars for sensuality... Review: So if that is what you want when you buy this book, then you'll defintely love it. The book is very erotic, no question about. But that is about all. When I bought this book I wanted to read the story of shy, beautiful Grace who's in love with dangerous yet sweet Noah and how they work through the obstacles facing them to finally realize they love each other. Instead all I got was one sex scene after another. Don't get me wrong, eroticism is great, but if that is what I was seeking, I would've just bought Kama Sutra!
