Summary: Sleepless in Tennessee
Review: A confession: I believe this is the first review I've posted on Amazon and I know it's the first book I've read by Rachel Gibson. But after finishing a killer book deadline of my own, I was in desperate need of some light entertainment. I stumbled across True Confessions, began reading it late last night, and didn't put it down until I'd finished it this morning. The story is an absolute delight in every way. Having grown up in southern Oregon, I also immediately recognized Gospel, Idaho's second universal truth: that every sin known to heaven and earth - from the hole in the ozone to alien abductions - is all California's fault. A lot of readers have commented on the humor in this book, and I agree it's terrific. But it isn't the kind of forced, over-the- top humor that can get on my nerves as a reader; instead it's warm and sweet and touching. The author obviously cares a great deal for her characters and it shows. The steamy parts sure weren't bad either! Wow!! I can well understand how Sheriff Dylan Taber could have any red-blooded California girl willing to move to a town without a Nordstrom, a movie theater or even a 7-11. Having lost a night's sleep, I plan to take a nap. Just as soon as I get back from buying Rachel Gibson's entire backlist.

Summary: Another wonderful book by Rachel Gibson!
Review: Absolutely did not want it to end. The chemistry was right, the child was adorable, the secondary characters were well written and didn't take up too much time on the pages. Loved the time I spent in Gospel, Idaho because I really felt like I was there.

Summary: Not a quick read.
Review: All I can say is burnt toast is not this dry.

The story is the same as the last few, big city girl moves to small town and falls in love with local stud. If you have read any other Rachel Gibson books than you will be disappointed in this one. You have read this story before. However, the last time you read it the love scenes were hotter and the characters were more interesting.

Summary: Small town living is grrrrreat
Review: All I can say is WOW!! this book was wonderful. This is the first time I have ever bought a book by Rachel Gibson. The first time I picked it up, I put it back down figuring that it would be boring...boy was I WRONG. This book kept me hooked from beginning to end. I loved Dylan and Hope. The chemistry between these two was HOT!!! I didn't want the book to end. I just went out today and bought 2 more of her books, Simply Irresistible, and It Must Be Love. I hope they are as good as True Confessions. This book made me laugh out loud, I just loved it. Shelly was a hoot, I loved her. I strongly recommend this book. If you haven't read this book....GO OUT AND GET ONE!!!

Summary: Would like her to write something a bit different
Review: ALthough big fan of previous Gibson books, was a bit diappointed that this was more of the same small-town formula that she and Jennifer Crusie do so well. Her humour and well-defined characters are first class but would like her to choose another kind of setting.
Not my favourite of hers

Summary: loved it!
Review: Here's my fantasy Ms. Gibson - have Faith Hill and Tim McGraw play Hope and Dylan in the movie!

Summary: Delightful Romantic Comedy!!
Review: Hope Spencer is a tabloid writer from L.A. After a story gone wrong, her boss suggested she take a six-month vacation to regain her inspiration. The Sawtooth Wilderness area in Gospel, Idaho seemed to be the best place for that inspiration. After all, where could she find a better place to write about Bigfoot and Aliens? From the moment she arrives in Gospel in her silver sports car, Hope discovers that truth really is stranger than fiction. The citizens of Gospel inspire her to write many popular alien stories for her employer, The Weekly News of the Universe. And while in the tiny wilderness town, Hope also discovers that this is where her battered heart belongs. She finds true love with the town's sheriff and friendship with her neighbors.

From the first moment he laid eyes on Hope Spencer, Sheriff Dylan Taber knew she would be trouble. Most tourists were. Hope was a writer and Dylan had something to hide, a secret he had kept from this town for many years. But Dylan finds Hope to be irresistible and the more time he spends with her, the more he wants her in his life. Will he eventually find the courage to trust Hope and make a true confession to her?

Sounds serious. It is to a certain extent. But in between the seriousness of this story you will find yourself giggling at the antics of this town. From the sisters with color coordinated hair to the toilet tossing sportsmen, you will get more than a few laughs.

True Confessions is Rachel Gibson's fourth novel. And her stories just keep getting better. If you enjoyed her other novels, I'm sure you will like this one.

Summary: It's True ... Confessions is good for the soul...
Review: Hope Spencer is in a slump. Living in Los Angeles, she's one of the best at writing tabloid fiction. But not lately, so her boss sends her on a six-month vacation in the small mountainous town of Gospel, Idaho, hoping a change of scenery will give way to inspiration. It doesn't take long for Hope to realize the inhabitants of this town are strange, even by tabloid standards. There's the betting pool on how many flatlanders will be injured hiking in the wilderness. The Dean sisters who love blue and purple so much, they even dye their hair to match. Of course, who could forget the toilet-tossing contest. But there's one man who stands out among all the oddness. Dylan Taber is the tall, good-looking sheriff who has half the women in town chasing after him. Dressed in his black Stetson and cowboy boots, he certainly makes Hope's heart race. And when circumstances, and Hope's outspoken behavior keep them running into each other, resisting their growing attraction becomes impossible. But secrets remain between them, and until they each do some confessing, there can be no future together.

This is the second book I've read by Rachel Gibson, and I'm sold on her writing abilities. In fact, I'm officially working on reading her entire backlist now. There's good reason she has several books on the Romance Writers of America's list of top books for each year. This story is sweet, fresh, and fast-paced with quirky, original characters and witty dialogue. Hope was sassy and likeable, and Dylan was a hero that sure made me weak in the knees! Their love scenes were intense after the tension had been built to fever-pitch proportions. This story is just a winner across the board. A definite must read.

Summary: When it's a Rachel Gibson book, you know you're havin' fun!
Review: Hope Spencer, a tabloid writer from California romps into the town of Gospel, Idaho, with plans to spend 6 months getting her brain cells properly aligned in order to create the stories she's known for. The minute her "to die" for body slithers out of her silver Porsche, she's creating a lot more then she bargained for. The attention she generates spans lusty stares and futile fantasies from the men and more then a few wistful looks and nasty jealousy from the women. Some of the shenanigans that dog Hope are just plain hilarious.

Enter the town Sheriff, Dylan Taber....one of those tall, dark and 'good enough to eat with a spoon' uniformed hunks that make most women smile at just the sound of his voice. However, he has avoided having a relationships with any of the local women since his wife left him and their son Adam. He's a great dad that wouldn't dream of taking a woman home with less then honorable intentions because of his son. However, the effect Hope has on his nerve endings is enough to bring him out of his monk like existence and leave him with ideas that definitely are not honorable where she's concerned! The two of them send off enough sparks to light up the whole town of Gospel.

Ms. Gibson, as always injects plenty of laughs, believable characters and breath-holding, lip-biting, steamy [...] in a wonderful tale. The wait for each new books she writes can seem like an eternity, but all four have been worth it.
