Review: This is one of the books I really love in my entire collection. I'm usually picky about romance novels, but this one left me not regretting to buy it. It's so witty and romantic. And I love Jamie! She's one of those headstrong heroines...not those crampy, always-wailing ones! And I love their appearance in "The Wedding"!

Review: This was the first historical novel I read and now I'm really big historical romance fan. I love the way the story flows and the unexpected and delightful twists in them. So far I have read six Garwood novels and some from other authors. And I still go back and reread this one.

Review: I was drawn to the characters, the time period and the development of the disguised passions of both Jamie and her laird. What the two of them found between them is what all true romantics secretly dream of.

Summary: EXTRAORDINARY; It was as though I was there!
Review: I bought this book in an airport book store in San Francisco, on the way to Hawaii for the Washington Huskies/Air Force Bowl Game, with thought in mind that it would be a quick read. However, I soon discovered I could not put this book down, read it in 5 hours, gave it to a person sitting next to my husband, (a Seattle Times reporter's wife,) as she was eyeing the eagerness in which I devoured this intriguing story, and in my haste to exit the plane and eagerness to share this marvelous read, left without recording the name of the Author! (This was my 1st ever Julie Garwood experience, and in no way, the last!) When we returned home to Seattle, my husband & I searched book stores for books that LOOKED like this one, until at last we found the author.....what an incredible tale Ms. Garwood weaves! Be prepared to sit for several hours,as you will not be able to put this book down! I certainly could not, and would be willing to bet our seat-mate also devoured this book.
