Rating: Summary: A Classic: A Must Read for the Romantics Review: The second book I read from Ms Garwood's collection and one I couldn't put down. Even though I read The Wedding first, I was again swept back to my favorite "Highland world" with another great adventure. I laugh, cried and got swept up with Jamie and Alec Kincade trials, tribulations and triumph. I highly recommend her sequel The Wedding and other romantic Highland adventures in The Secret, Ransom and Saving Grace.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful!!! Review: I Loved it! One of my three faverite books. Julie Garwood is an excellent writer. The Bride is the kind of book that leaves you breathless and sighing!
Rating: Summary: Magical, Mesmerizing and Magnificent!!! Review: I loved this story! Julie Garwood has always been a master story teller and this just proves my point! Alec and Jamie kept me laughing and rooting for them through out the whole book. I have been a fan of Ms. Garwood's since I read The Lion's Lady and she has not disappointed me since. Thank you Julie Garwood for giving us such witty, vibrant stories.
Rating: Summary: The best of Romance Novels! Review: In the world of romance writing, Julie Garwood is undoubtedly the queen. I am in love with Scotland and its highlanders, specially fierce warriors like Alec Kinkaid. The book was romantic, funny and full of cute episodes to keep you entertained. I've read all of Garwood's novels and this is still my favorite. Jamie and Alec's chemistry and stormy relationship is the best of them all. I also like The Wedding, which still has mentions of Jamie and Alec. I love it when Garwood continues with a story, however briefly in her other novels. (i.e. The Castles and The Gift).
Rating: Summary: This is a book you lose yourself in,,,,,,fantastic!!! Review: This is one of my favorites. It shows how women are strong and have wills of their own. It shows how two people can compromise and yet still be different.. I really loved the way Jamie began to fit in without her and Alec noticing. I have read this time and time again.
Rating: Summary: What a story!!!! Review: I have been hooked on Julie Garwood books for a few months nowand I can say The Bride has been my favorite thus far. I loved Jamie, she was so strong and willing, and made you happy to be a women. She never let her husband get to her and when he did she let him have it. She was also very cunning. Alec was also a wonderful characture. He was strong yet lovable and caring. This book was a true work of art. I love how Julie knows her history along with giving a sensual, loving story. This book tore at my emotions and made me fall in love with her work.
Rating: Summary: Awful, awful, awful Review: I am not a big fan of Julie Garwood, but I would have to say that this is her worse book. The heroine is a complete airhead. I was annoyed by her constantly bursting into tears and her total dependancy on the hero. Julie Garwood needs to write about women with more of a backbone. I'm sick of reading about these "dumb blonde" type of characters.
Rating: Summary: This is my alllllllll time favort book Review: This is the frist book i've read by Ms. Garwood, and it got me hooked, not just to romance's, but to scottish lairds, I'm only 15 and i'll tell you these books help fill in some of my boring class's at school, can't tell u how many times Ms. Garwoods books has helped me threw another boring french class. Exspecaly this one, i couldn't put it down once i started it, as with most books i read lately. well just wanted to say, great job! hope one day i can be as good a writer. =) Sincerly Kristy
Rating: Summary: very funny Review: i don't like the fact that Jamie's sisters depend on her so much but the story itself was very touching and funny. i love it when she kept on buying indulgence for his sins. it's funny and moving.
Rating: Summary: It deserves 6 stars! Review: Comming from a teenager who absentmindedly came across the book and read it to give her something to do, I would have to say this book is GREAT! I would reccomend this book to anyone who's interested in a great romance novel. I've read the book over and over, and on numerous nights I just read sections of it, by flipping the pages and just reading. I love it. If only there were more Alec Kincaids out there!
