Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Jmorris Review: Absolutely, this is my favorite of all Julie Garwood's books. Great characters and story, But be warned, this is at least RERELEASE number 2! That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating. Paperback versions at a fraction of the cost are available in most used bookstores.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: The Bride Review: OK this was a little racey for my mother-in-law. She is an avid Barbara Cartland fan which is how the book was sent to me. She said the book was good and she enjoyed it. However, she complained about all the 4 letter words. Just wanted to share this incase you are considering it as a gift without reading it first.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Must buy Review: Excellent purchase! Very hot with a good story.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Reprint of one of Julie's BEST! Review: Okay, Julie Garwood fans! This book is a re-print. However, this is one of the BEST stories from Julie EVER. By order of the King, Jamie and Alec marry, but it is not exactly happily at first. Alec refuses to call Jamie by her "man's name" and Jamie wears black to her wedding. Through many twists and turns, Jamie and Alec learn to love and respect each other. If you enjoy Mercy and Heartbreaker, see where Julie got her start with this EXCELLENT novel. Also, you must read "The Wedding," the sequel to "The Bride."
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is a wonderful book!! Review: This is a good book, but if you are a Garwood fan, please note this is a reprint. Alex and Jamie are a wonderful, funny pair as most of Garwood's are. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good lovestory. Read it and have fun.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Her Best Review: This is Garwood's best book in my opinion. Alec is a callous and hard Scotsman who has to learn how to love and cherish the fiesty and ever-surprising Jamie. Jamie is funny, tender, sensitive and she always manages to surprise you and Alec. She has to overcome her new clanspeople hostility towards their new English Mistress. She has to deal with a secret enemy who wishes to kill her. She has to deal with a man who was rumored to have killed his wife and she has to deal with her grwoing love for this man. The book will see you laughing out loud through many pages. The characters are so well-written, that you seem to know them for real by the end.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Still my favorite Review: It's been ~12 years since I first read The Bride, and it still remains my all-time favorite novel! It is the funniest, most endearing book that I have ever read. Alec and Jamie are so wonderful together, and the reader doesn't have to wait until the very end to see them living happily (so you can be sure they will do so for 'ever after'). The plot has many twists and turns, but it's the strong characterizations, situational ironies, and witty dialogue that make this book superb. I go back and re-read The Bride when I want to feel good inside. I savor every word and every minute that I have spent reading and re-reading this wonderful tale.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the best! Review: I really loved this book! Jamie was feisty and a great heroine, and I loved how Alec mellowed toward her and fell in love! For people who loved this book, read the Wedding, Jamie and Alec are in that one too, and they have four children. I also loved how Jamie won the loyalty of the soldiers by healing the soldier. Also, when Alec found out that she spoke Gaelic was hilarious! This book is perfect for a rainy day!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: For all women who want to be swept off their feet . . . Review: The Bride is every woman's worst nightmare and yet her greatest fantasy. Jamie, the daughter of a English Baron, is forced to marry Alec Kincaid, a Scottish warrior. Jamie, a smart, strong-willed woman has vowed never to allow a man to own her and tame her. She has a temper and she is not afraid to use it. As you can imagine, she is none too pleased when she is forced to marry Alec. Granted, neither is Alec. The both hate each other from teh beginnning. But as the story goes on, Alec's heart softens to Jaime because of her youth and innocence. Jaime eventually succumbs to Alec and allows him to tame her . . . but just a little! She still keeps her feisty temper and refuses to let him treat her like property. The love scenes and the fight scenes are very vivid and it is almost like you are there. Jamie gets herself and Alec into some very serious yet humorous predicaments. This is the best romance novel I have ever read. This novel was written for every woman who wants to be swept off her feet . . .
