Summary: Excellent Read. Good for a lonely Rainy night's read
Review: I purchased the book at 10:30 on a Thrusday night, and I was still up reading it at 6:30 the next morning. The Bride, by Julie Garwood was so captivating that I found myself not wanting to put it down. I kept feeling the urge to read on and find out what was going to happen between Jamie and Alec. Was he going to betray her. Would she try to escape and return to England. I found myself playing with small plots to see if I could determine which way the book would go next, but I was also pleasantly suprised when the book went a totally different direction from what I expected. The love scenes are so in depth, Julie makes you feel that you are there in the Scottish Highlands laying right next to Alec, and it is you who is wearing his plaid, and being engulfed by his large frame. If you close your eyes while reading through the passionate scenes, you can almost feel the cold air blowing on your face, and smell the masculine aroma Jamie describes. If you like good romances that make you feel warm inside, read The Bride by Julie Garwood. Trust me when I say you will not be able to turn away once you have entered thier world.

Summary: This was one of her best!
Review: This was one of Julie Garwood's best novels. Both my mother and I loved it. The Bride has a place of honor on my bookshelves. After I read it, I went out and bought all of her others. If you like her writing style, you'll love Judith McNaught too.

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: I love all of Julie Garwood's books and have read them over and over again, but I must confess that my copy of The Bride is pretty well worn. I wish all of her books came in hard-back so that I could re-read them without fear of losing pages! This book has it all; adventure, humor, and of course love.

Summary: I am totally in love with this book!!!
Review: This is about a head strong, violet-eyed english beauty who was chosen by handsome and compassionate Scottish laird to be his bride. This book is funny, romantic and very inspiring. I love all of Garwood's books. She is the only author who writes romance books that I read. I'm in love with historical romance novels

Summary: AWESOME!!!
Review: I LOVE this book, this is the very first Julie Garwood book that I ever read. It was in a word AWESOME!!!. Jaime and Mary are from England who are ordered by their King to marry two Highlanders, Alec and Daniel. Alec chooses Jaime and is in for the suprise of his life, he doesn't expect his English bride to be able to stand up to him, or ride, shoot and hunt. He thinks she is a weak "ENGLISH" female. So Jaime sets out to prove her stubborn and arrogant husband wrong. The love story between Alec and Jaime is one of the best that I have ever read

Summary: The BEST!!!!!!
Review: This is the first romance novel I've read and it got me hooked on them.I've read this book again and again and it's always just as good as the first time I read it. Garwood's way of writing makes you feel like your right in the story. The way she describes Jamie with a perfect blend of sweetness and temper, timidness and boldness makes you want to laugh. This book is great. I've read more of Garwood's books and they're all just as good, if not better

Summary: TERRIFIC !!!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Terrific!
Review: This was my first romance novel, and what a way to start! The story of two daughters, Jamie and Mary, sent to the Highlands of Scotland to marry two Highlanders who think they are getting timid wives. Jamie falls in love with her husband and changes this hardened warrior into a loving husband. Lots of laughs and some tears, but definitely a keeper! The Wedding, Ms. Garwood's new book, is a sequal to this one, with the promise of one more book on the same family. Can't wait to read it

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Loved It!!!!
