Summary: Julia Quinn Strikes Again!
Review: I LOVE Julia Quinn. She does not disappoint with this, her latest book about the Bridgerton family. Quinn's charmingly ironic wit and cheerful characters make this a fun and interesting read. The plot is typical of a regency romance, but Quinn's lovely writing style more than makes up for it. This, and ALL of Quinn's other books, are must-reads.

Summary: Just fab!!
Review: Really loved it. It's a Cinderella tale come true.
How Benedict fell in love with Sophie without seeing her face is really something...

Summary: I love Julia Quinn!
Review: This book is another of Quinn's wonderful books. She writes with intelligent humor and creates characters that are easy to fall in love with. If only she could write faster!

Summary: Is that you, Julia?
Review: Julia Quinn is the funniest, most delightful romancer I have yet discovered, and this is not her best book. Not nearly as much fun as the usual Quinn book, the main characters' angst and bungling seems trite and unnecessarily drawn out. Only faith in Ms. Quinn's considerable talent kept me from skipping ahead to the end, but I wish I hadn't waited. When the end ... finally... came, vanquishing the wicked stepmother was exciting, but the love story was not.

Summary: 'Cinderella' meets 'Ever After'
Review: Being the third book of the Bridgerton Series, I was extremely excited to read this book. When I was finally able to, I could not put it down...naturally. I absolutely love the Bridgerton family from the youngest daughter to the oldest son and the wonderful mother of the 7 children. Benedict Bridgerton is thirty years old and should be ready to marry. However, he has yet to meet someone in which he is compelled to marry...until he meets a mystery woman in silver. But at the strike of midnight, she is gone...and he is merely left with a glove that has unknown initials sewn into it. Two years later, Benedict saves a young servant woman who is about to be attacked by some drunk young men and offers her a job in his mother's home. Little does he know that she is his woman in silver two years prior having escaped from her step mother and step sisters' evil wrath. And suddenly, a strong friendship bonds these two together, though she is hiding her past in the shadows. But she can only hide it for so long. I love this series and I cannot wait until the 4th one comes out this year. I am waiting...ever...so...patiently.

Summary: not as good as the first 2 bridgerton books
Review: not a bad read, but having read "the duke and i" and "the viscount who loved me", i found this one to be somewhat lacking in depth and character development/motivation. i'm not looking for _war and peace_ when i read romance novels, but i suppose i've been spoiled by the author's earlier works.

still, a nice story. will find a place on the bookshelf ;)

Summary: a very sweet and touching book
Review: This is a Cinderella story. Which is the reason I bought this book. I love the story of Cinderella. In this book Cinderella is called Sophie. She is the daughter of a Earl & she is reduced to that of servant when her father passes and her stepmother takes over. She has two stepsisters. One just like the mother, cold and unfeeling and the other Posy who is kind but scared to let her feelings be known. They go to a masquerade ball being held by the Lady Brigerton, who is forever trying to get her children married. She has two eligible sons but neither seem very interested in marriage. Benedict the older of the two and the second son is the hero of this tale. Sophie sneaks into the ball and only has until midnight in which to live out all her fantasies. She is imediately spotted by Benedict and he spirits her away to a private terrace. The attraction is imediate and electric. The share a brief kiss but times runs out and before he knows her name she is gone. Two years later after being thrown out of her step mother's house, she is saved by Benedict from a terrible fate. He doesn't realize that she is the dream girl from the ball and is very confused by his strong feelings towards her. They both try and fight their mutual attraction for each other but passion and love win out. I really enjoyed this book and I'm going to go back and read the first two books in this series.

Summary: A Five Star 'Cinderella' Tale! Kudos for Ms. Quinn!
Review: This is a MUST if you love real 'prince charming-Cinderella-type' stories! It had the wicked stepmother (worse than Cinderella's by the way) two wicked stepsisters and a chance for an illegitamate daughter of a deceased earl to attend the 'ball of the season' in style! BUT...she must return by midnight before the wicked stepmother realizes her late husband's 'love child' has duped her! Can she do it? What if the 'prince charming' of this tale was none other one of the most handsome of the famous Bridgerton brood? Benedict Bridgerton to be exact??? This is the third book in the series and wonderfully entertaining! A real twist on the 'striking midnight' cliche!

~Sophie Beckett was shocked herself that she was able to pull off the daring stunt and sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball, but what she didn't realize was that she captured the heart of one of the elusive Bridgerton brood forever! Now as the clock strikes midnight and she must go home to a life as dull as wood and scrub floors and wait on her wicked stepmother and sisters, she dreams of what 'could've been' had her father actually acknowledged her for more than just his by-blow with a maid so many years past. But Fate has a weird way of making dreams come true...or do they?

Benedict Bridgerton wasn't prepared for the vision in silver that graced his mother's hall. Who was she? He was instantly in love. Just when he thought he found the love of his life, she was gone. Years later, after dreaming of the woman in silver, he comes upon a helpless woman who stirs a memory...but, it can't be her...the vison in silver...for this woman was dirty, skinny and a housemaid. But, ever the gentleman, Benedict saves her from a fate worse than death and helps to secure her a job and roof over her head. This is when things become too complicated for him to bear...who IS she? And why does she regard him as of she KNOWS him from somewhere? Why do her eyes make him think of that night at the ball? He is determined to find out and in the process he finds himself in love with the mystery woman garbed in maid's clothing. And when he does find out who she is, will he sacrifice his position in society for her? Or will he let her blow in the wind like everyone else and lose his chance at 'happily ever after'...

Great read! The author also teases us at the end with the identity of the ever mysterious Lady Whistledown. I have the feeling the next book in this excellent series will be about her! I can't wait! Hurry Ms. Quinn! I am anxiously awaiting the next in this series!!!

Summary: This Was VERY Good
Review: Quinn has a subtle sense of humor that shines through in this novel. Simply put, this novel is a great deal of fun and is very creative. You do have to suspend your disbelief a fair bit in order for the novel to "work," but because the story is a rendition of the classic "Cinderella" tale, it is not too burdensome for the reader.

If you want a light-hearted, fun romance novel, grab this one off the shelf. The character development is excellent and you will find it to be a very satisfying read.

Summary: An Offer You Can't Refuse
Review: Another Bridgerton bites the dust....or a romantic love at first sight, only it takes Benedict quite a while to realize that this is his soul mate!

Sophie Beckett, illegitimate daughter of an Earl, along with the VERY wicked step mother, gets the ONE chance of a lifetime to go to a ball, a masquerade ball, and in so doing meets the man of her dreams. Much like Cinderella, when the clock strikes midnight she must flee.

Julia Quinn takes over from there and a most delightful and positively romantic tale evolves in these two star crossed lovers finding one another again. Sophie recognizes Benedict immediately, but Benedict is still looking for the vision from the masquerade ball and doesn't recognize his soulmate dressed in the housemaid's garb.

A truly wonderful tale, again from the pen of Ms. Quinn, whose novels are an absolute delight. I'll read anything this lady writes and positively it will come up a winner. Don't miss this one, it's a keeper!
