Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Somebody Get a Fan! Review: Suddenly You is a fast paced story of two unlikely people having much in common. Amanda's a "brainy" novelist who's a woman before her time and turning thirty. To celebrate she decides she wants to lose her virgin status so that she can have memories to cherish in her old age. She goes to an exclusive brothel to hire entertainment for this purpose and when he arrives she changes her mind. There are immediate sparks even though in the end the highly acclaimed event fizzles. After this, they immediately discover that they move in the same business circles and begin a relationship that is filled with the author's most steamy scenes to date! They make a pact to continue their liaison for three months and then go separate ways. However neither anticipates the feelings that erupt as they begin to discover what love is all about. This is a great beach book, but make sure the umbrella's covering you to hide the inevitable blush this title is sure to produce. The bookcover boasts that it is "The Most Sensual Romance of the Year". I'd have to agree it ranks up near the top.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Hot, hot, hot! Review: Wow! Still sitting in front of the fan to cool off after reading SUDDENLY YOU, the first book I've read by Lisa Kleypas. On a sensuality rating betweet 1 and 10 I'd have to give this one a 22! The storyline has been described so much on this book there's not much I can add. True, the romance segements are steamy, but the storyline supports the love scenes and the characters of Amanda and Jack are described so thoroughly it's almost possible to "see" them. Ms. Kleypas has become a new favorite author of mine!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Another Winner for Ms. Kleypas Review: I have enjoyed reading Ms. Kleypas's books ever since I first read Dreaming of You. I love the way she creates her characters so that the woman is actually smart, witty, and independent and the man is strong and handsome, but also has issues that make me want to be the one to help him and show him what love is all about.I am definitely recommending this book to all of my friends and I urge you to read it too if you're looking for a story full of passion, humor and understanding.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Average Read Review: I am a big Lisa Kleypas fan and have read about 80% of her books. I am one of those people that circle the month in which her next book will be published. I noticed that with some popular authors, their stories become flat as they publish books more regularly. I only hope that Ms. Kleypas will either stop writing (for a little while) to gain a fresh perspective or take more time in developing her storyline and characters. I'd rather wait 2 years for a really good book rather than 6 months to 1 year for an average read. For those Newbie Fans, I think "Dreaming of You" showcases Ms. Kleypas' ability to weave a story around a reader's heart and imagination. I always have great hopes whenever I see one of her books. In this case, the cover was intriguing (I like red) but the story neither moved me or captured my full attention. So, I give her a 3 for average - polished enough to be publised but falls short of wanting to keep in my personal collection. This is a book I'd lend and wouldn't care if I got it back.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: My First LK Review: I love reading and finding a new author I could enjoy. With all the other reviews I have nothing to add except, to say, I have a new author. The only thing that tickles my brain is, could all this actually take place in 1836? I would think in the 1880's but the publishing house and the fact that Amanda could write and be published under her own name and not a man's name doesn't seem accurate. Nor do the numbers of books claiming to be put out in short order. I am not a stickler for these things but just found myself curious.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: First book but not the last Review: This is the first LK book I've read, and I LOVED IT. It was different from most romance books. The heroine was independent and witty. Unlike in some other romances, the hero was not a sexist pig. I loved the storyline and the especially the passion between the two characters. I'm looking forward to reading other LK books.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Absolutely delightful! Review: Lisa Kleypas has done it again. I won't repeat the storyline, as other reviewers have done that so well. I found this to be a charming historical romp with unique and independent characters. It has just the right amount of historical touches to add flavor to the story. As a publisher of romance novels, I loved the insight into the publishing industry in the 1800's and the peaks inside the author's mind. The fast-pace and sensuality remind me of Patricia Waddell's "The Alliance" or Delores Fossen's "Unbridled." All leave you breathless for more.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: KLEYPAS LIGHT Review: While not her best book, this one is still worth the effort. It is more light hearted than her previous books with minimum angst. Her characters aren't quite as developed as her previous novels but sometimes you want a book you can speed through and not feel washed out emotionally when you finish. Two other books which I read right after this one and enjoyed more are Elizabeth Thornton's "Princess Charming" and Karyn Monk's "The Prisoner." More angst, more character development and better plot.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: If You Liked This Book...... Review: You might want to start reading a series about another Irishman and a very independent lady. It's the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb. It will take you into the futuristic/murder mystery/romance genre, but don't be put off by the futuristic aspect of the books. Romance dominates. The chemistry between the hero and heroine -- very much like that of Jack and Amanda in the five-star Suddenly You-- is strong enough to have accounted for something like eight or nine books so far with the couple (Eve and Roarke) as the focus. One piece advice: Start at the beginning of the series with "Naked in Death," and read the books in order. I promise you, you won't be able to put them down.
