Summary: Once and Again
Review: Once and Again is the re-release of Sawyer and Morgan from Lori
Foster's popular Buckhorn series.
I am so glad that Harlequin has decided to re-issue the series before Casey's story comes out in December. It not only gives us a chance to re-visit with them, but fall in love with them all over again.

Sawyer Hudson, is the town doctor and the father of a teenager. He rescues Honey when she crashes her car into the lake near their house.
Honey Malone is on the run and doesn't want to bring her troubles on Sawyer and his three brothers. But Sawyer is every bit as stubborn as Honey.

In Morgan, Honey's sister Misty, comes to visit her sister's new husband and finds herself being drawn to her sister's new brother-in-law. Morgan is the town sheriff and he is going to find out what is Misty's secret.

It is fun to watch Honey and Misty's reaction to all the testesterone running around Buckhorn, Kentucky. These guys are
everything that a woman dreams of when they think of the perfect guy. Of course there is no Buckhorn, Kentucky which may be a good thing, otherwise droves of Lori Foster fans would be making a trip.

Summary: Come Back to Buckhorn with ONCE AND AGAIN!
Review: The reissue of two of Lori Foster's tales of the Buckhorn Brothers series from Harlequin, titled ONCE AND AGAIN is a welcome addition to this reviewer's shelves. The cover alone is enticing and attractive, but it's what's between it that had me realizing again why I loved these stories in the first place: Family and love.
First up is SAWYER, the oldest of this group of men who grew up in the same house, scuffling and being typical boys, and still the bond of brotherhood couldn't be stronger than if they were twins. Or Quadruplets, since there are four of these sexy siblings.
Sawyer Hudson has a run in with Honey Malone, literally. Her car breaks through the fence he *just* finished repairing, and comes to a stop on the bank of the lake. Sawyer and his son Casey run to the scene, but it seems she doesn't want a bit of help. Now, for a man like Sawyer...that's just not an option. Besides, its his duty to help; Sawyer is the town's lone doctor, though he's hard pressed to remember that it's strictly professional when he touches her and meets her guarded, distrustful gaze.
What is Honey hiding? Sawyer insists that she stay with them, but even though she adjusts to a house filled with men (one right on the cusp of adulthood), she's got secrets that Sawyer wants to know. Morgan too, since he just happens to be Buckhorn's Sheriff.
Sawyer is determined to help Honey. She's his responsibility, as the oldest and he must set the example for his impressionable teen. But do those reasons even wash when the sexual tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife?
This story is typical of any Foster fare: sexy man, strong heroine, and a setting with secondary characters that makes you want to find your very own Buckhorn!
Next is MORGAN.
Poor guy. He finally sees a woman that stirs his blood, and she just happens to be Honey's sister! To Morgan, that makes Misty Malone off limits! They seem to grate on each other's nerves, but for everything she does to aggravate him, he finds himself drawn to her like a moth to a flame. And he feels singed every time he touches her.
Morgan thinks he's a tough, stern lawman, but Misty sees how honorable he is and his bark is worse than his bite. It's all Morgan can do to keep her from ruining the image he's worked so hard to perfect. Morgan doesn't realize that the respect he demands is given not by his pretend gruffness, as he thinks, but by the good judgment and fairness he displays as peacekeeper. How can Misty resist that?
Ms. Foster writes men who are true heroes. Every story. Every time!
For first time Foster readers, ONCE AND AGAIN is the first installment of hours of enjoyment. For followers of this talented author, it's a chance to go back to Buckhorn and visit with old friends!

Summary: Wonderful romance!
Review: The stories of Sawyer and Morgan Hudson are some of the best romances I have ever read. The heroes are strong, passionate and compassionate, and the heroines have spunk. Both volumes have a bit of mystery, angst, humor and of course heat! Sawyer the doctor and Morgan the sheriff fall hard and fast for those likeable sisters, who are as different as they can be. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

Summary: Revisit with Sawyer and Morgan Again
Review: The stories of the Buckhorn Brothers, the popular series by Lori Foster from 2000, is being reprinted in advance of the release of the much-anticipated sequel, Casey Hudson's story, called simply CASEY (currently due out in December 2002). First released is ONCE AND AGAIN: SAWYER/ MORGAN and in September will be the release of FOREVER AND ALWAYS: GABE/JORDAN.
When the Buckhorn series first came out, I snapped them up and devoured each story. I hated to see them end because they were superbly written. Lori Foster knows how to pen stories about men that are hunks and good-hearted. The Buckhorn Brothers are no exception.

First up is SAWYER Hudson: He is the eldest brother, the doctor and the patriarch of the family. Honey Malone enters his life with a splash...literally and Sawyer is immediately attracted to her. She has a secret, and Sawyer is determined to find out what it is and if possible, to help her and ends up falling in love with her. Being the head of his family and a responsible man that he is, he is not sure he can promise a future for them as a couple. Ah, but love prevails. :)
In SAWYER you meet the rest of the brothers (plus Casey) and the other citizens of Buckhorn County. In some ways, SAWYER seems too short and would have been fabulous as a longer book, but a great start to the series.

MORGAN Hudson is up next. He is the Sheriff of Buckhorn County and looks like the biggest and meanest man you will ever meet. But under his gruff exterior he is a sweetheart, especially when it comes to family and friends. Misty Malone now qualifies, as his brother Sawyer married her sister, and like her sister, came to Buckhorn County with a secret. Morgan finds out and instead of turning him off, he finds it attracts him. Misty was at first a little intimidated by Morgan, but she knows how to stand up for herself and does very well against Morgan. Unknown to Morgan, he has met his match and the love of his life. It was fun watching the big, bad Morgan fall in love and finally admit he could not live without Misty.

If you have not read their stories before, then you are in for a treat and very lucky. First of all, you get Sawyer and Morgan in one volume (later to be followed by Gabe and Jordan). Secondly, the cover for ONCE AND AGAIN is much better than the original covers. Buy both of the reissued covers, and they match when you put them together. I have never seen that before and I love the idea.

All of the stories are very warm, humorous, sensual and leave you feeling good, just like many of Ms. Foster's stories. If you have not read the Buckhorn Brother's stories before, or would like to revisit them with the new, matching covers pick up ONCE AND AGAIN: Sawyer/Morgan. I recommend the whole Buckhorn Series.

Summary: Kentucky gentlemen
Review: This is a two-book volume of older stories by Lori Foster that are impossible to find. Why? Because these are KEEPERS! Lori writes hot, sensual stories with people you learn to care about. In the first story, about Gabe and Honey, it was funny that the guys kept calling her 'honey' and she wondered how they knew her name. In the south all girls are honey--and coming from Kentucky myself, I know this! I loved her insistence on helping out when they wanted her to stay, and the instant attraction between Gabe and Honey. Sometimes you just know, the instant you see someone for the first time.

The second story, about Misty and Morgan, was touching. I felt for Misty, with her problems in the past and not really knowing how to deal with them. She and Morgan made an interesting pair--neither wanting to give in to their desire but eventually forced to.

I loved both stories and I can't wait for the sequel, Forever and Always, and Casey's story. They're sure to be winners too!

Summary: I love that family of boys.
Review: This two part book about Sawyer and Morgan is great.

I was completely enthralled in the goings on of Sawyer and Honey. The story was passionate, heartwarming, and kept me reading.

I love that the characters are always so emotionally flawed like everyone in this world. You literally rally for them to get it together and get to the bed.

As for Morgan and Misty, I found it very tender that Morgan could be so accepting.

Of course I am addicted to all of Lori Fosters works and read them like there going out of style. But if you love romance and sex you'll love this book.

Summary: 5-STAR MEN WITH 1-STAR WOMEN
Review: Zip3's review pretty much says it all. The men were heroes and the women were zeroes, although Honey was more(barely)likeable than Misty. And while ten-year age differences work in historicals, they don't hold up well in contemporaries. Supposedly, these two sisters came from a privileged background, yet they acted more like escapees from Dogpatch. The Morgan-Misty story was particularly painful. I've enjoyed Lori Foster's other efforts like TOO MUCH TEMPTATION and THE WINSTON BROTHERS, but save your money on this one.
