Summary: No runs, no hits, readers left on base
Review: Ms. Roberts is fond of baseball, as evidenced in many of her books, and many of those books are home runs if not real grand slams, but she struck out with The Stars of Mithra. Secret Star was the weakest of the weak series. Roberts generally creates such good heroes and heroines that readers will overlook lacks or errors in plot details, but hackneyed and/or unbelievable characters--and, in this installment, a downright silly one like Grace--point out the flaws rather than hide them. Among other things, Roberts needs to better research police procedure and little details like the fact that .38s don't have have clips, but most of all she needs to spend more time executing the game plan for a book and making sure she doesn't make an easy out, leaving readers stuck on base instead of running across the plate of a satisfying read. Nobody wants to see a major leaguer sent back down to the minors.

Review: Thank you to Ms. Roberts for a wonderfully written series with three very different women. This book is a great conclusion to the Stars of Mithra series. Grace is believed to be dead, but she isn't. Police Lieutenant Seth Buchanan now has to try and keep her alive as the person who killed her cousin by mistake is still trying to get her. The characters in this novel could be real, and that makes this novel even more enjoyable. Ms. roberts has a talent for describing feelings in a way most can't. You will feel what the characters feel. Don't miss this dramatic conclusion. It will keep you guessing about one thing or another right to the end.

Summary: I love Nora Roberts!
Review: The thing about all of Nora Roberts's books are that they're interesting and are real page-turners. I can't read Danielle Steele any more. Her stuff is so boring. I'd like to recommend Homer Hickam's Sky of Stone to all of Nora's readers, too. I got to see the advance copy of it from my local bookstore and if you like Nora, you're going to love all of Homer's Coalwood books. They just flow along. Once you start reading, you can't put them down. But Sky of Stone I think is his best yet, a mystery of a death in the mine while still exploring the hearts of the people in that little coal town. Trust me on this one. A true Nora Roberts fan.

Summary: This series closer is a great blend of mystery & romance
Review: This closer brought all the loose threads together in a page-turner series. The characters were believable and I enjoyed the entertwining of their lives. It had mystery, romance, and an evil villian. What more could you ask for? I got caught up in the search for the "Stars" and actually wanted more when the story ended. I tend to save series to read one after the other and with this series, I'm glad I did.

Review: this was soooo much better than the other 2! the development of the characters paid off in my opinion. after reading the first two, i debated as to wheather i should read the last, and decided to give it a go...it couldnt have been much worse could it. im glad i did, as it was a treat!! ::smile
